Worship The Ground You Walk On

Chapter 15 This Is Not Over

Chapter 15 This Is Not Over

Claudia didn't expect Ben to come.

“Abnormal fetal position. The baby will be in danger if we don’t do anything!” Gerren said.

Ben walked over to hold Claudia's hand and stared at Gerren. “Abnormal fetal position? Why didn’t you

say anything when she was here for check-ups before?”

“Well...”

“I want both my wife and my baby safe!” Ben said firmly with a fierce look. Garren would have died

thousands of times if Ben’s gaze could kill.

Gerren was so frightened that she took a deep breath and looked helplessly at the nurse. They seemed

to have read each other’s hints. Then they tried to convince him, “Mr. Crawford, it would be better if you

make a choice. Claudia’s condition is critical...”

“OK, keep Claudia safe then!” Ben made a quick decision.

He continued after a pause, “But if I lose my son after all this, I will have the entire delivery process

investigated. Once I find any problems, I will sue the whole hospital for murdering my son! You’ll spend

the rest of your life in jail, I swear!”

Gerren and others were so frightened upon hearing this.

No matter how much money Blair had offered them, now they didn’t dare do anything.

Gerren and the nurses nodded repeatedly in panic, “Don't worry, Mr. Crawford, we will do our best to

keep them safe...”

They thought that Claudia was just a mute with no living relatives, and her father had passed away

early. Now that her stepmother was willing to pay such a large sum of money to forge an accident, they

agreed with pleasure because it was a huge sum of money.

However, they had to give up now since Ben is standing up for Claudia. They couldn’t afford to piss off

the Crawford family.

Gerren and others began to work in normal procedures, but Claudia was more than weak now. She

held Ben’s hand tight, her clear eyes filled with tears.

She couldn’t care less about herself. She would give up anything to trade for her baby’s health.

“Hold on, Claudia. You’ve been waiting for the baby for so long!” Ben asked.

Yes, she had been waiting.

That was because it was her and Ben's child.

She fell in love with him when she was little when he didn't even know her name.

More than a decade had passed. She still wanted to marry him, and she didn’t care if this marriage is

meaningless or not if her stepmother would plot against him. She would do everything for him.

The belief in love supported Claudia and help her through the difficulty. When she heard the baby

crying, she smiled weakly, closed her eyes, and passed out.

“Claudia!” Ben shouted, holding her hand.

“She was just too tired. She's going to be okay.” The doctor explained.

He was relieved and slowly let go of her hand. The nurse handed the baby over. Ben found it so small

and hadn’t opened his eyes yet. He was glad to see him.

“Congratulations, Mr. Crawford. It's a boy!” Said the nurse.

He was a father now.

He never thought Claudia would be the mother of his first child.

Claudia was sent to the VIP ward. Winifred followed the doctor to the baby room. She looked at her

grandson through the glass window and smiled joyfully.

“This is the heir to our family! My little grandson!”

“Don't just feel happy for your grandson. Claudia is who brought him to you, remember? You should

treat her better!”

“You...”

Winifred sighed as she saw Kim leaving. She was in such a good mood that she decided to forgive this

rude girl.

Kim had been looking for Ben everywhere in the hospital and finally found him.

He was leaning against the wall and looked intimidating as usual.

Kim looked at him. She hesitated for a second and then said, “Claudia had known the conspiracy of

Blair and Amber since a long time ago, but even so, she insisted to carry your baby...” This content © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

After a pause, she checked him from head to toe. “I don't understand. How could you ignore a woman

who loves you so much!”

“...”

“Blair is her stepmother, and Amber is mean. Mr. Crawford, please be nice to Claudia!”

Kim sighed, shook her head. She went past him and went upstairs.

Ten hours later, Claudia finally woke up.

The pain and of childbirth were unforgettable. Spending ten months bearing a child and bringing it to

this world was what made motherhood respectable.

Claudia slowly opened her eyes. There was no one in her room. She took a breath due to her

loneliness, and then she struggled to sit up. Just by then, she caught a glimpse of a man by the

window.

Hearing the rustling sound in the ward, Ben strode towards her and stopped her from sitting up. “Lie

down!”

He spoke to her in a commanding tone as always.

Ben’s face was emotionless, but Claudia could remember the anxiety and worry on his face when he

was in the delivery room.

She could not lie down at ease. She looked around could find no sign of a child. She panicked out

immediately.

Where was the baby?

Where was her baby?

Ben knew what she was thinking. He said, “The baby is healthy and he's in the incubator now!”

Claudia felt relieved, thinking, “Thank God, my baby is fine. That’s all I wanted.”

After a short moment of relief, she felt Ben's anger. The vibe around him was getting more and more

repressive.

Ben looked at her face. They looked into each other’s eyes. He asked with a calm tone, “Why didn't

you tell me that someone wanted to hurt you?”

She had been hiding it from him!

Ben couldn't imagine how things would turn out if Kim didn't tell him.

Claudia pouted with her soft eyes.

“I'm asking you a question! Answer me!” He lost patience and threw Claudia’s phone to her.

She held the phone and sighed helplessly. Then she typed a sentence and handed it to him.

After just one glance, Ben turned furious and stood up immediately.

She typed: my death is no loss to you.

She had no other wishes except for giving him a baby. Once that was done, she would have nothing to

lose.

“What the...”

Ben’s temple was throbbing. He looked so sullen. He gritted his teeth and said, “Who told you that it

was no loss to me?”

“Claudia, who's going to take care of my son if you die?”

He found himself stunned when he said that out.

What a stupid question!

It was too late to take those words back. He took a deep breath and fixed his eyes on her. Then he

said, “Remember, as long as you and I are married, you will still be my wife, and I’ll never allow you to

be bullied!”

He then walked away. A mad fire of anger was blazing in his chest. It was burning wilder and wilder,

boiling his blood, and making his cells scream.

What a stupid woman!

She allowed others to set her up!
