Refusing To Divorce (Julia and Harry)

Refusing 176

"Since you are so insistent, I can arrange a temporary position for him," Harry said with an indifferent tone, his fingers lightly tracing the rim of his cup. After finishing his coffee, his expression returned to its usual coldness. Antony sneered inwardly. Once Marlon was placed in the Wright Group, with Marlon's skills, he would quickly gain access to the Wright Group's commercial secrets.

We will then gradually weaken Harry's influence, and in the end, the Wright Group will belong to me?' he wondered.

"Then I shall drink to that," Antony said with a superficially charitable smile. He raised his glass and downed the contents in one gulp.

Harry, however, picked up his cup again.

Noting that he only picked up a coffee cup and not a wine glass, Antony frowned. "Hey, Harry, why drink coffee? Do me a favor and join me in a drink. Let's not call it a night until we're all drunk."

Harry's gaze grew a shade darker before he smiled slightly. "My wife is strict. I've been feeling unwell lately, and if I drink, I'll probably hear endless scolding from her."

Antony clearly paused, thinking of Julia.

'Isn't that woman just a decoration in the Wright family? When does Harry become so concerned about her?' he wondered.

He probed. "Are you talking about Julia?"

ho else could it be if not Julia?" Harry said lazily, swirling his cup, making it hard to read his thoughts. "Mr. Gordan, enjoy

r meal. My phone is ringing. I need to head home."

Antony had initially intended to persuade him to stay but ultimately restrained himself.

"Alright then, let's have a meal together another day," Antony said with a polite tone.

Harry didn't even glance back, maintaining his usual cold demeanor.

The city's neon lights flickered, and the street outside the restaurant was bustling with people, lively and vibrant.

Harry's hands were shoved in his pockets, his expression somewhat complex.

Alden followed behind him, unsure of his thoughts but certain that Harry was in a foul mood.

Lately, Antony and his associates had been making small moves, and Harry couldn't seem to catch them in the act.

Now, they had even dared to openly place someone next to Harry.

He couldn't understand why Harry so easily agreed to let Antony bring his people into the company.

Entering the parking lot, Alden immediately moved the car into position.

Harry rubbed his temples, got into the car, and spoke with a hing of determination. "When Marlon arrives, arrange for him to go on a business trip to Mestoura. Assign him to handle the new project there." Alden nodded. "Understood, Mr. Wright."

He thought to himself, 'Mr. Wright knows it's a trap. Of course, he wouldn't fall for it. Assigning the new project to Marlon would likely give him a headache for months.

Alden focused on driving while Harry took out his phone and started scrolling through messages.

In the Wright family, Julia had typed and deleted several messages on her phone, unsure of how to respond.

Harry's dramatic change had left her reeling, and his every sweet word made her heart flutter.

She couldn't help but wonder if Harry's brain had somehow been altered.

As she repeatedly typed and deleted her responses, a message from Harry popped up.

Harry: [Why does it take you so long to type?]

It was clear that Harry must be on the chat screen to know she was typing.

She had already eaten and was now sitting cross-legged on the sofa.

Harry's message made her realize how to reply.

Harry: [When will you be back?]

Julia: [On my way.]

Julia was taken aback. They were supposed to discuss something important, yet he was coming back so soon.

Since he was on his way back anyway, she decided there was no need to respond.

sighed, contemplating whether to tell him about her recent encounter with Arya.

But then again, Harry might already know Arya was in Cromont City and be keeping it from her.

'Never mind. I would keep it to myself for now and investigate further,' she wondered.

As she went upstairs with her phone in hand, she couldn't shake off the sweet words Harry had sent her.

Her heart was bubbling with happiness, and she couldn't help but smile.RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

Her phone rang again, this time with a message from Valerie.

Valerie: [Julia, there's a lunar eclipse tonight. It's quite rare. You and Harry should watch it together. My darling and I are watching it too.]

Along with the message, Valerie had sent a cozy photo of herself and her boyfriend.

Valerie looked so sweet and affectionate.

'Isn't this an outright provocation?' she wondered.

Julia thought about it. She and Harry could be just as intimate.

But Harry wasn't home.

She changed her mind and went downstairs, walking out to the garden outside the Wright family's living room. The garden was full of red roses, and in the corner, the moon was indeed covered by more than half. The view was breathtakingly beautiful.

'Harry, don't wait until the moon is completely obscured to come home,' she thought to herself.

The sound of car brakes was followed by Harry's Pagani pulling into the parking spot in the garden.

Julia practically flew over. Before Harry could open the door, she had already done it for him. "Harry, let's go watch the lunar eclipse."

She eagerly grabbed Harry's hand and pulled him into the garden. Under the dim moonlight, her perfect profile gleamed, and her smile lit up Harry's heart.

In the garden, there were two chairs set up. Julia led him to sit down. "Come on, let's take a picture."

Harry was passive throughout, doing whatever she suggested.

But just as they sat down, he slowly spoke. "How about we go somewhere else? There's a viewing platform on the rooftop. Wouldn't it be better to watch the lunar eclipse from there?"

Julia was taken aback. "Since you knew about the viewing platform, why didn't you say so earlier?"

Excited, she pulled Harry's hand and ran toward the rooftop.

"You really like watching lunar eclipses?" Harry followed Julia up the stairs, his tone indifferent.

Julia didn't respond immediately. She ran up to the viewing platform on the rooftop and sat down, catching her breath before explaining, "I was born on the day of a lunar eclipse. I've never seen one in my lifetime. Do you think I should be excited?" "Are you talking about the rarity of the lunar eclipse, or your own rarity?" Harry's expression was calm, completely unfazed by the exertion as if he hadn't just climbed five floors.

took a while to collect herself, but her face was as red as an apple.

Seeing Harry's sweet words on her phone was one thing, but hearing him say them in person made her heart race.

"Harry, it doesn't sound like you at all to say things like that," Julia said, lifting her gaze to the sky.

Stars dotted the dark canvas above, and half the moon was obscured. She took a deep breath of the fresh air, deliberately avoiding looking at Harry to steady her heartbeat. Under the moonlight, Julia's skin glowed, and her long lashes fluttered like delicate fans, making Harry's heart flutter ever so slightly.

Suddenly, Julia had an idea. "We should take a picture."

'Valerie could show off her affection, and so could I,' Julia wondered.

She moved closer to Harry, intending to strike a slightly intimate pose. However, after several attempts to take a selfie, she couldn't find the right angle.

The problem was that she and Harry weren't close enough.

Julia furrowed her brow in frustration.
