Refusing To Divorce (Julia and Harry)

Julia hadn't noticed when Harry began to butter her up. It all started when he began his daily barrage of sweet talk.Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

Julia, like any woman, enjoyed hearing flattering words, but from Harry, who had always been so cold, the sudden change to a warm, affectionate demeanor felt especially jarring. She was used to Harry's aloofness, and his new fiery enthusiasm was hard for her to

accept.

Harry's transformation seemed both drastic and sudden.

Julia even wondered if Harry might have taken some sort of medication that was affecting his behavior. She was determined to find out what was behind this sudden change.

Julia and Valerie had been waiting for nearly a week to hear back from their client, but the response was elusive. Just as Julia was about to make another attempt to contact Marlon, they finally received a return call.

The voice on the other end was somewhat familiar. "Miss Hill, when would be a good time for us to meet and discuss things?"

"I'm not in Cromont City at the moment. Please wait until I return before contacting me again," Julia replied.

"But your wedding is only two months away," Julia said. "If we wait another two weeks, we might run out of time. Designing and producing the jewelry takes time. It's not something that can be done on a whim."

Julia's commitment to her work was always driven by a pursuit of perfection. She didn't want any flaws to mar her creations.

was silent for a moment before speaking again. "I've long heard about your capabilities. Are you now telling me that

unable to meet my needs? Do I need to drop everything and rush back just for you?"

Julia sighed. "Miss Hill, we would like to have more communication with you to understand your preferences better. This way, we can design the jewelry that truly meets your expectations."

Arya's tone turned cold. "Aren't you supposed to be clever? Why don't you try guessing what I want instead?" She continued with a hint of sarcasm, "I've heard that you are quite skilled at this, even to the point of easily disrupting relationships that have lasted over a decade..." Julia's expression changed dramatically. "Miss Hill, I'm not sure what you're implying."

Arya's voice grew sharper. "I've heard that you are known for her ability to predict others' thoughts and take away their partners. So why not apply the same skills here? If you can guess my desires and design what I want, it would really showcase your abilities, Mrs. Wright, wouldn't it?"

Julia found the voice increasingly familiar and recognized the clear underlying hostility. "Miss Hill, I don't understand what you're talking about. If you're not available now, let's arrange to talk when you are."

Julia hung up the phone. Seeing her face turn pale, Valerie rushed over to calm her down, indignantly saying, "I've always suspected they were targeting us deliberately. Looks like my intuition was spot on." Julia went directly to a location after work without any prior notice.

Upon her arrival, the person she was meeting showed a hint of surprise. "Mrs. Wright, I didn't expect you to contact me again. It's a surprise to see you today."

"I need your help to investigate someone," Julia said as she pulled a photograph from her bag and handed it over. "I want you to find out where the woman in this photo is right now and what she's doing."

The man scrutinized the photograph carefully before casually placing it on the table. "I'll definitely take on what you ask of me, Mrs. Wright. I'll notify you as soon as I have any updates."

Julia hadn't used a private investigator for a long time. This particular detective had been hired long-term to manage the tabloid scandals involving Harry. Given Julia's generous nature, the detective was naturally diligent in his work. "I need an accurate timeframe." Julia insisted.

After her conversation with the lady today, and recalling that she had seen someone who looked strikingly similar to Arya, Julia couldn't help but suspect that the woman refusing to meet her was indeed Arya. 'If it's Arya, did Harry know?' she wondered. Julia wasn't ready to share this with Harry. She worried that doing so might alert the person in question. Besides, she couldn't be certain if Harry was aware or not. Her suspicions would only be resolved once she had concrete results. "Two weeks," the detective responded.

"That's too long. Can you do it in one week?" Julia asked.

"It's a tight schedule, but I'll do my best. I'll inform you as soon as I have any

info on."

Julia put on her sunglasses and left the detective's office. She hadn't mentioned this to Harry, only saying she had some errands to run after work.

When Julia arrived home, it was already dark. The house was brightly lit, but Harry was nowhere to be seen. She looked around and saw a servant coming out of the kitchen. "Mrs. Wright, Mr. Wright won't be coming home for dinner tonight. He's out for business." "Why didn't Harry tell me?" Julia asked, only to realize her phone was dead and had turned off. No wonder she hadn't received any calls from Harry. She hurried upstairs to charge her phone.

As soon as her phone powered up, a flood of messages from Harry appeared.

..the dining table, Harry rolled up his sleeves and surveyed the room with a narrowed gaze, his demeanor that he was in no mood for socializing.

"Harry, I thought you might be overwhelmed managing such a large company on your own, so I considered finding you a competent assistant. How come you haven't shown any appreciation?" The speaker was Antony Gordan, the very person Harry was dealing with. Antony was among the first to follow Harry's father in building his empire. When Melvin broke free from the constraints of the Wright family to create his own kingdom, Antony was involved. Even though Melvin had passed away many years ago, Antony still held a prominent position within the Wright Group

After Melvin's death, Antony gradually began to reveal his ambitions. Back when Harry was still young, Antony nearly seized control of the company. However, Lucia held the largest share of the company, so Antony bided his time, allowing Harry and Lucia to remain in control.

Antony hadn't anticipated that Harry would manage a complete overhaul of the company in just a few years. Now, Harry's rapid rise and decisive actions made Antony wary.

"Mr. Gordan, you're being too serious. You were with my father, so how could I refuse your request? But as you know, there aren't any suitable positions available in the company right now.

Antony smiled and patted Harry on the shoulder. "Just let him work with you. Rest assured. The person I recommend will be outstanding and won't disappoint you. You only have Alden by your side, and sometimes it's just too much. Having another person will lighten your burden."

Seeing that Harry didn't refuse, Antony immediately picked up his glass andy toasted with Harry. "Harry, I've

"Now, with more people helping you, I'm relieved. When I see your father in the future, I can say that I've done right by him." Antony spoke with heartfelt sincerity, but Harry remained unmoved, showing no expression. Only those who truly understood Harry knew that his expressions were always cold and impassive.
