Mysterious Little Wife

Chapter 39 I Was Wrong

Chapter 39 I Was Wrong

A man's greatest fear was to hear a woman question his sexuality.

Furthermore, it was the woman he despised most that asked the question.

It was at this point that the two remained silent. Lacey could sense his anger soaring.

The next thing she knew, her world suddenly took a 180-degree turn. Sam had lifted her onto his back.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Lacey struggled.

Sam remained silent as he strode into the jungle.

The truth was, Lacey wasn't scared at all. Sure, no one would come seeking her if she disappeared.

If it was the president of GH, however, that was not necessarily the case.

Her phone was already in her grasp. She quickly snapped a picture and sent it to Lillianna.

She wanted to show Lillianna what the man she was engaged in was doing!

On the other hand, Uncle Semaj advised the group to leave.

The clouds were overcast, and the wind became unusually strong.

Uncle Semaj was expecting a massive storm to hit shortly.

They must leave right away!

Otherwise, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Just as the group was packing up, they noticed two people were missing.

"Where's Lacey?" Theo hadn't paid attention to her just now while he was talking to the others.

"Where's Mr. Garrison?" Meanwhile, others' focus was different from Theo's.

"Sam! Sam—" Lillianna shouted nervously.

"Mr. Garrison! Mr. Garrison—" The others, too, began to yell.

"Lacey! Lacey—" Only Theo looked for her.

The crowd went on the hunt.

"Ding!" Just then, Lillianna received a WhatsApp message.

"Loser," the word flashed across her screen.

It was a text message from "Loser," which she knew immediately who it was.

Tapping into the text message, Lillianna squinted. Had she seen wrong?

She looked at the screen again, stunned. Although the picture only showed the man's back, she

recognized him right away.

It had to be Sam!

But why was he carrying Lacey?

Where were they going?

When did these two leave together?

Her thoughts were racing with questions.

"I suspect Lacey has come to steal Sam from you."

Lillianna began to panic at the flashback.

"I have to find Sam! I need to see him right now!" She said eagerly as she pulled at Theo's arm. "Hurry

up! We must find him!"

"Don't worry, Lillianna. We're looking for them now." Theo assumed Lillianna's panic was solely due to

the disappearance of her fiancé.

The crowd began to yell names as they walked.

Some even tried to make phone calls. However, signals were unavailable due to climate change.

Dark clouds overcast the sky as the weather grew gloomy. There were even unusual sea waves. Uncle

Semaj, who had extensive experience on the island, was terrified by the scene.

"We must leave right away. Otherwise, the consequences will be overwhelming!" Uncle Semaj stopped

the group from moving forward.

"No!" Lillianna yelled. "We haven't found Sam yet. How can we leave? Are you liable if any incidents

happen?"

Others exchanged glances. They all wanted to leave but didn't dare to speak a word.

They were Sam's friends, and more importantly, his business partners. They all depended on Sam to a

large extent.

"But if we don't leave, a massive storm will engulf us! There's no way of knowing if we're safe here!"

Uncle Semaj continued to insist.

"I don't care! We have to find him! Otherwise, no one will leave!" Lillianna roared.

Why had he taken Lacey away?

What were they up to?

"Don't worry, Lillianna. Perhaps Mr. Garrison and Lacey went back without us?" Evie rushed forward

and comforted her.

She was, in fact, terrified by the gloomy weather.

"Impossible!" Lacey shook her head.

"That's right, Lillianna. Perhaps they left early? Why don't we go and see if the yacht is still there?"

Heidi chimed in.

The others quickly followed suit.

"Let's go and have a look. We'll keep looking for them if the yacht is still there." Someone suggested.

The sky was overcast. They might not be able to return if they wait anymore.

There was nothing on this island. If anything happened, it would be a significant loss.

The group immediately went back to the beach.

Sure enough, the three yachts on the water's surface had shrunk to two.

The crowd exchanged glances. Subconsciously they assumed Sam and Lacey had left.

Yes, they must have left. Why else would one of the yachts be missing?

"Let's go back! Now!" Lillianna ordered in a shout.

"Should we check and contact the hotel to see if they've gone back?" Theo hurriedly suggested.

"The yacht had disappeared. They must have returned already. What are you waiting for? Get on the

yacht now!" Lillianna sounded mad. In fact, she was overwhelmed with rage.

Her mind was filled with scenes of the two rolling in bed.

"Please hurry! Get on the yacht as quickly as possible! We have to leave right now!" Uncle Semaj

yelled.

Theo was worried and tried to make a phone call. However, the d*mn phone had no reception.

He was concerned that the two might still be on the island.

"Mr. Henderson, get up here!" Everyone started urging him on.

Theo did not dare to wait any longer and boarded the yacht.

Soon the two yachts disappeared at sea.

Meanwhile, somewhere inside the deep jungle. "What are you doing?" Lacey leaned against a tree in

panic.

Why hadn't they come yet?

This wasn't what she'd planned. Lillianna, for sure, had exploded after looking at the pictures.

She should have been here by now!

Sam remained silent as he approached her. His eyes were solemn, his temperament as cold as an

iceberg.

"Sam, relax. Let's talk. I—"

Sam lowered his head and was about to kiss her before she could finish her sentence.

Subconsciously, Lacey tilted her face to the side.

Sam paused for a second. Then he reached out and forced her face at him. Lowering his head once

more, he managed to kiss her this time.

"Mmm—"

He gave her a deep kiss tinged with rage and bit her on the lips.

"Mmm!" Lacey clenched her teeth. She put her hands on his chest and pushed him hard.

Her petite figure, however, was no match for a 6'2 tall man. Her pushes felt like soft cotton on his

chest.

Even more frightening, he pulled up her skirt and grabbed her lingerie.

Lacey's pupils widened in shock.

She was terrified.

And fear overwhelmed her at this point.

True, she had slept with him not once but twice.

But this time, Sam was in a clear-headed state. He was aware that the woman in front of him was

Lacey. Still, he desired to have sex with her.

Moreover, it was being enraged that made him act this way.

Lacey shuddered.

She was scared.

She knew how wild he was in bed.

Even when mistaking her for Lillianna, his tenderness had almost taken her life.

Not to mention that he was now angry. She couldn't imagine what would happen next!

"Sam!" Lacey pushed him away and gasped.

Sam squinted his cold eyes. He lifted her chin and said mockingly, "Isn't this what you wanted? Are you

trying to play hard to get?"

Lacey was panting. Her eyes were wide with terror, and her legs shivered slightly.

"I was wrong—"

This was her first defeat.

"Wrong?" Sam sneered. He approached her again, this time encircling her even more tightly. "It's a

good thing you're aware of your mistake. Unfortunately, it's too late!"

"Ah—" Lacey exclaimed, "Rogue!"

In fact, he was one. As Sam finished his last sentence, he suddenly lifted the hem of her dress.

His hand gripped her lingerie and yanked it down.

It had dropped below her thigh in an instant.

"B*stard!" Lacey raised her hand, ready to give a slap. However, Sam was able to grip it and spin her

around.

She spun into a backward position.

He then held her hand and pinned her against the tree.

After that, Lacey heard the sound of trousers unzipped.

It was at that moment that she sensed death.

"I'll take that as paying for a prostitute service. I haven't lost anything—" She yelled.

Sam's actions came to a halt when he heard the screams.

Noticing his pause, Lacey gathered her courage and added, "It's expensive to find a good-looking

prostitute these days. Mr. Garrison, you're a rather attractive man. I didn't lose anything for this. If you

do a great job, I might even tip you twenty million dollars!" She seemed cocky and uninhibited on the

outside, but inside she was terrified.

Sure enough, what she said made Sam's face more grim.

"Lacey Carter!" He gnashed his teeth as he reached her ear. "Do you think someone will come looking

for you if you die on this remote island?" RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only

His voice was icy, as though a demon. "Stop struggling. Your life is over. Now it's time for you to go."

Lacey trembled with horror at this point.

Nonetheless, she acted indifferent, giggling as she said, "I don't know if anyone will ever find me. But I

do know that if you kill me, you'll have nightmares every night and be impotent for the rest of your life."

"Impotent?" Sam's mocking laugh rang in her ears.

"If you do kill me, won't it feel like you're raping a corpse when you do it with Lillianna?" Lacey

chuckled.

After all, the two looked exactly alike.

It was hard to distinguish between them when they were not talking.

He'd regret killing her.

He'd have dark flashbacks when doing it with Lillianna.

He wouldn't want such a flashback, would he?

Just then, his grip on her wrist grew weaker. Lacey immediately withdrew her hand. She quickly turned

around and pulled her lingerie up.

Sam stood still. His attractive features were encased in ice.

Lacey bit her lower lip and tightened her clothes. Her face was flushed red.

"Rumble!" A thunderclap sounded above their heads at that precise moment.

Lacey looked up and noticed the sky was unusually dark.

Still quest, Sam turned to walk away.

Lacey frowned, not daring to say anything else.

Just a moment ago, she had been in hell.

She understood now that she mustn't provoke Sam when no one else was around.

Otherwise, she would die a horrible death!

The two dashed to the beach, one in ahead, the other behind.

However, just as they were about to reach the beach, the rain began to fall.

Their pace changed from a brisk walk to a run.

The two were stunned when they saw the ocean.

The sea was raging in the deep blue. The wind and waves were churning furiously. The scene, which

was surrounded by thunder and lightning, was horrifying.

What was even scarier was that the three yachts had vanished.

Did this mean—

Did this mean that the two of them had been abandoned?
