Chapter 194
Hector POV
Things had accelerated zero to hundred in a space of only a few hours.
Ezra was driving, leading the convoy of vehicles to a human facility where we would launch our attack, gain access through the tunnels and up into the alpha tower. Break through their fortress from below right into the heart of the building and take down the electrics. Once the electrical systems were down... the tower would be ours to take. But we would need our strength and muscle to finally succeed.
Warriors, myself and Ezra were armed with weapons, we need this to be quick and thorough. The guns were to stall the need to shift, so when the time comes...our wolves were at their strongest.

I was in the front, Kaia and Alora in the back seats looking over the blueprints one last time. I had them burned into my memory, my years of training better equipped both me and Ezra for such an attack.
I was still furious at him and he needed to answer for not letting me know how bad things had gotten here. How he let Alora get into his head, she was good like that when she needed to be.
The journey was short, Ezra pulling the car up to the human wastewater treatment centre that had no security whatsoever. So far so good.
Exiting the vehicle I open Kaia's door, my wolf keen to already keep her close to him. Something was wrong, something had made her distant to me...it couldn't be just still from the swimming pool incident. Under complete silence we launch our attack
The Amber Desert warriors move in first, they take control of the small porta-cabin type building before moving on in stealth mode to the large building.
It felt bittersweet working with the warriors that I was born to lead, the ones that should have followed my orders. But instead they are temporarily following Kaia's.
I don't think they have had time to inform their own alpha that there has been a change in leadership.
With no mind-link to Kaia, they use torches to signal for us to move in.
"I mean it Kaia, stick by my side at all times." I demand in Kaia's ear, it was not up for discussion.
Easy...too easy.
We access the tunnels which thankfully were large enough as long as we remained crouched down and moved in single file.
The stench was overwhelming, every single one of us having emptied our stomachs to the smell. It helped to not think of what we were treading through, trying to hold my breath for as long as possible.
Only for the inevitable breathing in and the smell hitting me as if for the first time all over again. Kaia was currently crouched over, gagging as I gripped on to her. Alpha or omega...it didn't matter who you were, Content is property of NôvelDrama.Org.
the same smell caused the same reaction.
We move in silence, as a joint force. We knew our plans, we knew our target.
I move ahead of Kala as we find a small manhole exit above us with a ladder attached to the wall.
Kala opens the blueprint maps as Alora shines a torch upon it.
"This is it." Kaia whispers to me, her eyes looking to Alora as they both mind-link each other, only for Alora to shake her head in refusal.
"Weapons out!" I order to everyone as I climb the ladder and slowly open the manhole cover above. As I push it open I find we are in the basement of the tower block, Judging by the cables and switches on the wall, exactly where we wanted to be... the alpha tower's electrical room.
This room housed the mains to the entire tower. Jackpot.
I move out of the hole, turning to help pull Kaia out. We act quickly, turning off the main switch before cutting through the wires plunging the alpha tower, and hopefully the pack's defences, into darkness.
I already hear movement outside the room as both Alora then Ezra climb up into the area.
"Alpha?" Ezra pushes on the mind-link to me as he steps aside for the warriors to follow up out.
"This feels too easy..." I respond hesitantly.
"You think it's a trap?"
""No I don't think it's a trap...but something isn't right."
The electrical room door bursts open to security pointing guns at Kala and Alora, but I move before them, firing my gun shooting all 3 in the head.
"Move..." I signal at the warriors who move past me, pushing through the outside corridor, moving to overthrow the leadership here.
The building's emergency generator has kicked in, the room and corridor flashing as I hear fresh gunshots. I look to both females, their identical faces staring at me with each flash of the strobing light. "Alora you stick with Ezra, no matter what...you understand?" I let my alpha aura thrust itself onto her. "Yes Alpha." She swallows hard as her eyes dart down to the dead bodies now lying at my feet. "Kaia, you..." I start to order at her to remain by my side when she cuts me off.
"Give me a gun." She looks at me expectantly.
""Not chance."

"I want a gun..
"No."
"Hector." She growls before continuing.
