Chapter 268
Chapter 268
Scott snorted in response. "She'd rather stay single forever than choose you."
Sylvie, on the other hand, turned glum at the brewing storm. "Scott, Stellan, Mr. Arnold's a guest today. Mommy will get upset if she finds out this is how you treat him."
It was only then the brothers stopped.
Isaac, on the other hand, felt super troubled. Just what would it take to finally win these two over? Alas, he was hopeless at gaining the boys' favor.
Just then, Patricia's voice traveled through the air, "Dinner's ready!"
At that, Sylvie put on her slippers and extended her hand toward Isaac. "Come, Mr. Arnold. Let's eat!"
Isaac took her hand after getting up, and as their hand and height differed drastically, the little one looked tiny next to him.
As the family shared a lovely dinner at the dining table, Patricia scooped some food for the triplets, not forgetting to do the same for Isaac.
"Thank you for your ingredients, Mr. Arnold."
Isaac was eating elegantly when he heard her thanks, and he looked straight at Patricia in response,
causing her heart to race.
She couldn't understand why, but she'd get nervous every time he glanced at her, and she thought she was becoming more and more of a wimp.
Just then, Patricia's phone rang. Seeing it was from Zachary, she answered, "Hello?"
"Tricia, I'm at your door. The boys said that you guys are eating at the new house, so I thought I would invite myself over."
The next second, the doorbell rang, and Zachary continued, "Open the door for me, will you?"
Patricia glanced at Isaac in response, panicked by Zachary's sudden appearance.
Zachary, please, I hope you won't say anything you shouldn't. Please… Everything I said back at Aniston Residence was only for the kids…
"I'll get it," volunteered Josephine when she heard the doorbell, feeling rather surprised as well to have a visitor when they had just moved in for a couple of hours.
Very quickly, she returned with Zachary. "Mr. Selwyn's here, Tricia."
All of a sudden, the temperature plummeted in the dining room, turning the space into an igloo.
Isaac glared daggers at the surprise visitor, and Zachary didn't back down either. Just like that, the two tried to tear each other apart with their gazes.
Then, Josephine brought out a set of cutleries for Zachary, who took an empty seat as he said, "Sorry I'm late."
"There will be dinner for you no matter how late you show up, Daddy." Stellan smiled.
Scott, too, greeted him, "Daddy."
Seeing the boys' behavior, Sylvie widened her eyes in disbelief. When has Mr. Selwyn become our daddy?! I just called Mr. Arnold that, though. Am I supposed to change now?
She lowered her head at once, deciding to just keep her eyes on the food.
Patricia was reeled in shock as well. You boys are doing this on purpose, aren't you?!
Zachary, on the other hand, turned to Isaac with a smile. "Mr. Arnold, the triplets are Tricia and my kids. We already met with her family yesterday, and we'll be marrying soon enough."
Patricia was so shocked that she dropped her cutlery to the floor. "Sorry," she said awkwardly. Property belongs to Nôvel(D)r/ama.Org.
After placing the retrieved cutlery on the table, she glanced subtly toward her boys before shifting her gaze to Zachary, wondering just what the heck these three were up to.
Isaac lifted his horrifyingly grim gaze and turned to Patricia. "Trish, mind telling him what we were doing an hour ago?"
The poor young woman had just gotten herself a clean set of cutleries and taken a bite of her food when his words caused her to choke and cough.
Isaac couldn't help smirking when he saw that she was freaking out. "You can fool anyone with that, Selwyn, but you won't get anything out of me. Patricia's long mine, and we even did it an hour ago."
Patricia closed her eyes in mortification. This son of a b*tch! How can he say that out loud?! Ugh… Just let me die of humiliation already, God!
On the other hand, Zachary's face blanched as he looked toward Patricia, visibly hurt. "I won't believe a word you say, Mr. Arnold. I know full well what Tricia's like."
