Will You Marry Me, Again

Chapter 58

Chapter 58 | Won't Lose You Again

“Hey, Aiken didn’t ask for free food from us, okay? He gave me 100 bucks for four quiches.”

“Yeah, he paid 100 bucks for my waffles.”

“Me too! 100 bucks!”

Several fans promptly posted the transaction records along with pictures of their food to debunk the rumors.

Soon, the video of Aiken talking to his fans by the window was uploaded as well.Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

Suddenly, the netizens started to comment differently.

“Holy shit, he paid so much for just a few quiches and waffles... He’s so good to his fans! You have my support, Aiken.” “Way to go, Aiken! To those who criticize him, fuck you!”

“Aiken showed up as soon as he heard his fans chanting for him. He even asked them to give the money to their family because they were the ones who prepared the food... And did you see how he told his fans that he loved them? He totally won me over!”

Aiken sighed and said, “It’s so tough to be a star. People just attack you for no reason.” “Then get a new job.” Jordan took a bite from a waffle. “Maybe you can help me.”

“Hell no! | prefer to work somewhere safe.”

Jordan poked his hand with a fork. “You little shit!”

Seeing how close they were, Maia smiled.

At that moment, her phone vibrated. It was a text message from Cedric.

“I'm hungry, honey.”

Speechless, Maia deleted the message and put her phone aside.

Meanwhile, Cedric was staring at his meal tray in the hospital. Having not received any messages on his phone, he thought it wasn’t working and restarted it. However, there were

still no replies when his phone booted up again.

Cedric frowned and looked toward a young nurse who came in pushing a cart. “Can | borrow your phone?” Cedric said with a smile.

To get to Maia, he would even stoop to using his charms on a stranger.

Seeing the good-looking man, the young nurse blushed and handed her phone to him without hesitation. “Of course, sir. Feel free to use it.”

Cedric nodded and called Maia with the phone.

Seeing an unknown number, Maia hesitated briefly before answering the call.

The second she did, the familiar deep voice came through.

“I'm starving, honey.”

Maia frowned. “If you’re hungry, go eat. What are you telling me that for? And don’t call me honey’ ever again, alright?” “I'm starving, babe,” Cedric said.

“Cedric, you...” Just as Maia wanted to hang up in frustration, the doctor’s voice was heard. “It's time to change your dressing, sir.”

“Fuck off!” Cedric snapped.

“Sir-”

“| want to see no one except Maia Burgess!”

Maia heard a low sobbing. He must have terrified the nurse.

He was out of his mind!

“Jordan, you guys eat without me, okay?” Maia turned and headed out of the apartment. When she reached the door to Room 508, Rita and Zera stopped her.

“What are you doing here again?” Having been warned, Zera wasn’t as rude as yesterday, but her tone was disdainful. Rita pointed in the direction of the elevator. “You're not welcome here. Leave now!”

Maia smiled and said, “I would love to, but your son wouldn’t let me, okay?”

“What the hell are you talking about?” Rita glared at her. “He divorced you, didn’t he?”

Maia smiled and shouted in the direction of the door. “Cedric, | can’t come in.”

The door swung open, and Cedric pulled her into his arms before she could react.

“| was just about to go looking for you.

Overpowered by his affection, Maiad warned herself that only a fool would make the same.

“And how exactly would you do that?” Maia asked in Rita and Zera’s presence.

Cedric knew her intention and said affectionately, “I'll look everywhere for you. I’m never going to lose you again.” Rita and Zera gaped at him in disbelief. They never imagined he would ever say so to anyone. Taking her wrist, Cedric led her inside and shut the door in Rita and Zera’s faces.

Once inside, Maia yanked her hand out of his.

“Can you not touch me?”

Seeing her cold look, Cedric frowned.

“So how did | do just now? Good, huh?” he asked.

Maia was speechless.

“I'm hungry.”

Maia then picked up the meal tray and started to feed him as she had done the day before.

When he finished eating, she said coldly, “When the airport is back in operation, I'll charter a plane to send you back to Prismara. Don’t ever come looking for me again in the future.”

She turned to leave. Just as she touched the door handle, Cedric’s hand seized hers.

“They're still out there.”

“So?” Maia tried to pull her hand back, but he held it firmly.

“Do you want to make them angrier?” he asked with a smirk.

Before Maia could respond, he opened the door and kissed her.

Outside, Rita and Zera gaped at them, as did the doctor and the young nurse who came to change his dressing.
