Will You Marry Me, Again

Chapter 308

Chapter 308 Was He Jealous?

At that moment, Cedric pulled Maia into his arms and said assertively, “Why did you call him dear? You can only call me that!” Maia said nothing.

“You flashed him such a sweet smile too. I’m going to wreck him later!”

Maia blinked and looked at him surprisingly. ‘Is he jealous? Was that all it took?’

“I called him dear. That's all.”

“That’s all?”

She certainly made light of the situation! She could only call him that and no one else! No one deserved her calling them dear. “That’s right.” She nodded solemnly, “I simply called him dear. | didn’t do anything else...

Something shifted in Cedric’s eyes. Obviously, he was jealous. He took a few brisk steps toward her and pulled her into his chest, “What else do you plan on doing?”

Maia laughed when she saw the burning jealousy in his eyes, “Nothing. | called him that because | needed his help with something.”

“I'm your husband, and I’m right here. Why didn’t you ask me for help?”

“You're not my husband, Cedric. Do | have to repeat myself again?” Maia felt helpless. Where did he find the courage to keep calling himself her husband?

Then, Maia said, “I was about to ask Baz to carry my suitcase up here. Do you expect me to go downstairs, covered only ina blanket? Isn’t this an assistant’s job? Do you want to carry my luggage up? | sure am happy with it!”

“Hold on.” He held her head and planted a kiss on her lips. f

Then, he walked out of the room and closed the door. Baz was standing by the wall, trembling. Having no idea how Cedric would punish him, he had been praying hard for his boss to have mercy on him.

“Mr. Cedric.” Baz saw Cedric coming out of the room and said hurriedly, “Ms. Maia was just fooling around earlier. S-She was just trying to make you jealous.”

“Get her suitcase up here,” Cedric said coldly.

‘Okay. I’m on it now!” Baz wiped the sweat from his forehead and took off.

Je patted his chest and said, “What a relief. | was lucky Mr. Cedric didn’t get mad at me. Geez. 173

have to handle you at the same time, then...

“Geez. It’s going to be tougher in the future. Both of them are two peas in a pod.”

He pressed the doorbell. It just so happened that Hope was already up.

“Who is it?” Hope peered at the door and asked.

“It's me, Ms. Hope. It’s Baz.”

With that, Hope opened the door.

“Hi, Baz.” Hope nodded at him, “Is there anything | can do for you?”

“Greetings, Ms. Hope. I’m here on Mr. Cedric’s orders to retrieve Ms. Maia’s suitcase.‘ “Maia?” Startled, her face reddened a little. She was lost for words.

Baz said, “That's correct.”

“Did Maia make up with Cedric? Is she okay?” Hope was a little worried.

“Ms. Maia is better than fine, Ms. Hope. He’d never hurt her. I’m not entirely sure if they've made up, though. I’m just following orders.” Baz said truthfully. He was just an assistant. Who was he to ask about what went down between them?

Hope nodded, “I'll give you Maia’s suitcase. Wait a second.” “Sure thing. Thanks for your help, Ms. Hope.”

“No thanks necessary. She’s my sister, after all.” Hope smiled and said. As she was giving Baz Maia’s suitcase, she said, “Vicky has kept watch on Fiona for the entire night, Baz. Do you want to take her to Cedric?”

“Fiona? Is she the one who drugged Cedric?” Baz still wasn’t too sure of what went down. “Bingo,” Hope answered confidently.

Then, Baz asked, “Who did you say keep watch on Fiona?”

“Vicky. | mean Victoria.” Hope said.

Baz muttered, “She was under that ferocious lady’s guard for the entire night. This isn’t going to end well... Ms. Maia put me through whatever it was earlier. Now, | have to deal with Victoria. What a streak of bad luck...”Content provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

Hope heard him mumbling, but she couldn’t make out what he said. “I worry about Maia. I'll go upstairs and bring her the suitcase. You can hand Fiona over to Cedric. What do you think?”

Baz steeled his nerves and said, “Sure. Let's do what you said. We can’t let Victoria keep watch over her any longer. It'll be a mess if she gets mad at Fiona.”

Hope covered her mouth and smiled, “It’s decided, then. I'll bring the suitcase up now.’

“Much appreciated, Ms. Hope,” Baz said with a polite smile.

“Much

Hope returned his smile, shook her head, and walked toward the elevator with Maia’s suitcase.

Baz headed to Victoria’s room and took a deep breath before knocking on the door. It swung open instantly.

“You're here, at last!” Victoria stretched herself.

“Weren't you taking care of some business in Prismara? When did you come to Maya Cove?” They’ve grown quite close to each other over the past few years.

Baz saw that she wasn’t close to being mad and sighed with relief, “I arrived this morning.” “You have got to the best assistant in the twenty-first century.” She gave him a thumbs-up. Baz chuckled, “Ms. Hope told me you watched Fiona for the whole night. Is that true?”

She nodded, “It sure is. Hurry up and take her away. You can do whatever you want with her. You can feed her to the sharks for all | care.

“| was worried she’d play tricks and make an escape. So, | trained my eyes on her for the entire night.” Victoria yawned and said. “Leave it to me.” Baz made a phone call when he saw a hogtied Fiona on a chair. Fiona flinched when she saw Baz.

Everyone knew that Baz worked for Cedric. If he was here, then it meant that her doom was
