Whispers Of Betrayal (Anastasia and Alastor)

Chapter 63

Chapter 63

“If you dare kick me out, I’ll send the video to everybody, including Alastor’s company chat group!” Sienna threatened, crying out loud.

Anastasia suddenly remembered something. “You’re the one who posted my nude photo, aren’t you?”

Sienna was stunned for a moment before averting her gaze in panic.

“What’s your relationship with Xavier?” added Armastasia. She had yet the time to deal with Xavier.

She was not in any hurry, though. Time was on her side.

None of them would be spared.

“What kind of relationship? I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Sienna was still playing dumb.

“Oh, really? I saw a colored pencil nude painting in Xavier’s studio that seems to resemble you,” said Anastasia casually,

Astounded, Sienna rose to her feet. “That jerk’ He really painted-

“Dropping the act already?” A smile spread across Anastasia’s face. “Sienna, scumbags would always keep their ugly side well

hidden.”

Xavier was Anastasia’s senior, and he was rather talented in imitating a painting. Sadly, talent eluded him.

Back when they were still at school, Xavier had always envied Anastasia’s talent.

He often said that no matter how much effort a person like hun was to put in, he could never be ás talented as others, not even remotely close.

Because of that, he truly admired Anastasia’s mentor, Charles, and had made multiple attempts just to become that man’s

mentre.

Unfortunately, Charles was a stubborn individual, one who never gave a damn about anyone. The only thing he would take into consideration was the artwork.

In Xavier’s endeavor to get close to Charles, he befriended Anastasia.

Anastasia, for one, was vigilant to all men. At first, she had also observed Xavier for quite something, but eventually, she let her guard down.

Anyone who could lower Anastasia’s guard must either be an embodiment of a demon or a master of disguise.

Xavier was too good at putting on an act

Never would Anastasia have thought that she would find a pretentious scumbag like him lurking by her side if it had not been for the colored pencil painting.

“Xavier’s even clear about where my birthmark and mole are on my body. The paintings are really realistic, I must say. Only professionals could tell that these photos are colored pencil paintings,” uttered Anastasia placidly.

Alastor interrogated Anastasia about why Xavier knew better about her body structure than he did.

Worse still, the latter had knowledge of her birthmark and the mole near the private part of her body.

It turned out that Xavier and Sienna had long hooked up with each other.

That was how the case was solved.

Since she lived with Sienna, the two of them frequently competed to use the bathroom.

For that, it was not surprising that Sienna had seen her body.

Moreover, Anastasia knew that Sienna liked taking pictures of her secretly.

“I always know you fancy Alastor. You want everything that belongs to me… You want to take Alastor away from me, but I didn’t expect that you and Xavier had been colluding with each other for so long just to frame me…” Anastasia laughed and looked up feebly to prevent her voice from trembling.

One was her stepsister, Sienna, and the other was her good friend, not to mention her partner in the art exhibition.

Anastasia thought that she and Xavier were like-minded people, but she did not foresee that Xavier simply wished to destroy

her.

“Why must he do this? To what extent could the evil intention of human nature escalate?” she wondered. Please check at N/ôvel(D)rama.Org.

“Anastasia, your blissful time will also be up soon enough. Alastor’ll definitely divorce you! Just wait for your divorce agreement. Sienna gritted her teeth.

Not a sound came from Anastasia as she opened the door and left.

Right at that very moment when Anastasta opened the door, she only felt the cold wind outside piercing her soul.

Not a single moment passed by that she could relinquish her regret.

Back when her mother was suffering from late-stage cancer, her mother had tried to strangle her to take her along. Thinking back, she lamented her instinct at that time when she had struggled and resisted her mother

“Wouldn’t it be good if I had breathed my last alongside Mom? I should’ve just died at that time, was her thought.

Her tears streamed down her cheeks, searing her skin.

Anastasta walked step by step in the cold wind, which only served to make her feel bitter.

Christmas was around the corner. The streets and the communities of the residential area were all decked out with flamboyant decorations. Jubilation filled every household.

At the residential area, Anastasia stood downstairs and gazed at the peals of laughter coming from her neighbor on the first

floor.

She began to wonder what exactly should a home look like.

That juncture was when she suddenly questioned the point of her own persistence and obsession.

Anastasia slowly opened both of her hands and hung her head low to look at her cracked palms. Tears gushed out of her eyes while grievances inundated her.

“Am I not worthy enough?” she asked herself

To be honest, she only desired a place to call home, a simple home full of joy and warmth.

Yet, things often did not go as she wished.

No one knew how hard she had worked during the past four years after marrying Alastor.

She had tried whatever she could to keep her family together and at the same time foster a warm and sweet vibe at home.

Not only she was gentle, sensible, and docile, but she had perfected everything a normal housewife could have added to a family

Never in a million years did she anticipate being reciprocated by such an outcome.

It was then she felt a bone-chilling sensation, to say the least.

Anastasia felt that she was about to freeze to death. Raising her chin, she was greeted by the snow.

“It’s snowing. Anastasia! It’s snowing!”

In a trance, Anastasia seemed to have heard Jace’s voice.

During one of those days in the winter, they snuggled up in a cold rental house without a heater. They held on to the roasted sweet potatoes in their hands, enjoying the snowy scene outside the window.

“Ill grow up and protect you, Anastasia. We’re going to live in a big house with heaters and massive floor-to-ceiling windows. Say, Anastasia, should we install a wall-mounted stove at home by then?”

It rarely snowed around Hork, but the place had always been bitterly freezing.

Anastasia sketched a picture of Jace eating roasted sweet potatoes. The duo hid under the blanket and giggled for a very long time

Neither of them loved the crowd. Yet, Jace’s existence had given Anastasia all the warmth she could hardly experience in her

entire life

Perhaps at that fleeting moment, Anastasia had had herself a home sweet home.
