Chapter 43 The happy ending
Chapter 43 The happy ending
Vivian picked her way through the flowers and looked down at the lily carefully.
She gently touched it and didn't find anything in particular at first. Suddenly she saw a ring lying quietly
in the stamen of the lily. With a refreshing smell of the flower to it, the ring was shinning under the sun.
"Huh?"
Vivian picked it up curiously. When she turned around to show it to Christian, she found him behind her.
Smiling, Christian turned it over and get down on one knee.
"Christian!"
Vivian seemed shocked, gasping.
"Vivian."
Christian's smile was gone and he looked up at Vivian with a serious look.
"Will you marry me again?"
Seeing Vivian's look of shock, he continued.
"Please forgive me for my arrogance and ignorance in the past. I should have known how precious you
were sooner. Vivian, I'm sorry I hurt you so much. I was too self-righteous before. I'll make it up to you
in the rest of my life and give you a lifetime of happiness."
Christian took her hand, put the ring on her finger and gave it a kiss.
"I love you."
Vivian burst into tears of joy and she couldn't describe her feelings in words.
She had always assumed that Christian wouldn't care about these details because he'd been such a
proud man after all.
He stood up, gently wiped her tears and lowered his head to kiss her.
Standing not far away with Hope in his arms, Patrick looked at them kissing with a smile on his face. It
seemed that his wish had come true, but he cried inside.
Three months later, Christian and Vivian's wedding was held as scheduled.
Patrick had planned their wedding himself. It was the last thing he'd intended to do for Vivian. He would
start looking out for himself from now on.
In the quiet dressing room, Vivian was wearing a white wedding dress with her gorgeous hair
decorated with pink petals. What a beautiful blushing bride!
She hadn't wanted Christian to hold a big wedding because she didn't care about these rituals very
much.
But he'd insisted on throwing a spectacular wedding for her to make her the happiest bride in the world.
Thus he'd spent a fortune on such a dreamy and grand wedding.
Vivian looked at her face in the mirror. She had never been happy before.
With Christian's love, she felt like she was in heaven now.
It felt like a beautiful dream. They said a woman was most beautiful on her wedding day. It turned out to
be true. A woman was most beautiful when she married a man she was in love with.
"Wow, check out this beautiful bride."
Patrick was amazed to see her. He looked handsome in his blue suit.
"Patrick."
Vivian turned round and smiled. She was so beautiful that Patrick couldn't look away from her.

Patrick couldn't help admiring her beauty as he helped her to her feet.
She slowly stood up because the bottom of her wedding gown was very fluffy.
Patrick was surprised to see her protective hand on her belly.
She was a little embarrassed to see Patrick's surprised look.
The answer was self-evident.
"Let's go. Christian is waiting outside."
Patrick took her arm and walked out of the room.
He had insisted on walking her down the aisle as her brother before the wedding. He was the only
family she had.
Although Christian had invited Vivian's parents to their wedding, Vivian hadn't talked to them at all.
She was a person of principle. They had chosen to sabotage her happiness for Jessica, she would
never forgive them.
Christian had invited many celebrities to the wedding. Most of them didn't know that he'd been married
before.
When Vivian had first married him, there had no ceremony whatsoever. But now he wanted everyone
to know that Vivian was his wife and his one and only love."
Holding Patrick's arm, Vivian walked slowly toward Christian.
Christian watched her walking toward him like an angel. He had always been calm and collected, but
now he was a little nervous.
When they came up to Christian, Patrick gave her away to him.
Seeing Christian's determined eyes, Patrick smiled and got off the stage.
Standing before the priest, the bride and the groom looked at each other with loving eyes and
exchanged rings.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride."
The audience applauded. Hope, now sitting in Patrick's arms, clapped his hands excitedly too.
Christian held Vivian in his arms.
They kissed passionately. A lifetime of happiness awaited them.
