Chapter 35 I’m Not Worthy of Your Care
Chapter 35 I’m Not Worthy of Your Care
Seeing Hamish, Stanley’s expression suddenly became gloomy, "Mr. Francis, I didn’t expect that you
are so shameless. How dare you come to her?"
Hamish walked in, looked at Isobel lying on the bed, frowned, and then looked up at Stanley, "She
owes me something."
"Do you want her to die?"
Hamish snorted coldly, "Want her to die?"
He said, pausing for a moment, and continued, "No. It’s too easy to kill her. I want to torture her slowly."
Stanley couldn’t help swearing and raised his hand to hit Hamish. But Hamish dodged his fist. Hamish
held his fist and said, "Mr. Shaw, what’s your relationship with her? Why are you hitting me?"
He said sarcastically, "Isobel is really charming. She used to be pursued by Eduard, and now you like
her, too."
"Hamish, it was just an accident. Why do vent your anger on her? Are you still a man?"
When Stanley mentioned what happened many years ago, Hamish’s expression became terrible,
"Accident? If Thomas Lewis hadn’t driven drunk, my parents wouldn’t have died on the spot!"
"But what does it have to do with her?"
"Her last name is Lewis. What do you think it has to do with her?"
"That explains a lot."
The weak female voice came from the bed, and both of them were stunned.
Isobel sat up straight in bed and looked at Hamish. She looked a little pale, and there wasn’t a trace of
emotion in her eyes. "So, I’ll give you my life, Hamish?"
When she said these words, there was no fluctuation in her tone, but her voice was very hoarse.
With that, she suddenly pulled out the needle from the back of her hand, then quickly took the fruit knife
on the nightstand, pulled out the scabbard, and then went to Hamish, with the knife to her heart, "Since
you hate me so much, I’ll give you my life."
Then she took Hamish’s hand, held the knife and wanted to stab it hard into her heart.
But she didn’t feel the pain. Hamish threw the knife on the ground and sneered, "It’s easy to kill you,
but I want to make your life a living hell. And don’t forget, Isobel, you owe me a child!"
With that, Hamish turned around and left the ward.
With a gloomy expression, Stanley saw Hamish leave. After a while, he looked back at Isobel, "Are you
so desperate?"
Suppressing his anger, he bent over and picked up the knife and pressed it on the artery of her neck,
"You want to die, don’t you?"
She felt cold on her neck. Isobel was stunned and looked up at Stanley, "What do you want to do?"
Hearing her words, Stanley threw the knife, raised his leg and kicked the bed, "What am I going to do?
What else can I do? Isobel, how many times have I told you that Hamish is not a good man? Why don’t
you listen to me? You’ve been with him for three years. But I’ve been waiting for you for nine years.
Why don’t you look at the people around you?"
Stanley was really angry. His roar could almost dismantle the ward.
Isobel looked at him in amazement. After a while, she said, "I’m sorry."
She always thought that it was a joke that he liked her.
"Well, I don’t expect you to like me."
He touched his face, bowed his head and found that she was standing on the ground barefoot, his
expression became worse again, "Aren’t you cold barefoot?"
Then, Isobel realized that she was barefoot. She sat back in the bed, looked at the remaining potion,
hesitated and asked, "Shall I call the nurse?"
Stanley laughed angrily, rang the bell and looked at her, "I’m going out for a cigarette."
Then, he really went out.
Isobel looked at his back in a daze.
In fact, she also wanted to know why she liked Hamish.
If she liked Stanley, wasn’t everything different?
Isobel didn’t know that her love was slowly ruined by Hamish.
Did she regret it?
Of course, she did.
But it was no use crying for spilt milk.
After that, Isobel stayed in the hospital for another two days to get rid of the fever.
On the day of discharge, Stanley came to pick her up.
Isobel looked at Stanley and thought of the flowers that appeared in front of her house every day when
she was 18 years old. She could not help but step back and said, "Stanley, I’ll take a taxi myself."
Stanley took down the unlighted cigarette from his mouth and looked at her, "Why? Now you’re cured
and sober, so you start to treat me like a beast again?"
No, she shook her head
She didn’t think of him as a beast, she just suddenly felt that Stanley shouldn’t waste any more time
with her.
Her love was dead, but his love had not yet begun.
At this time, her cell phone rang.
This was a strange number. Isobel hesitated and finally answered the phone, "Hello?"
"Isobel, why did you blacklist me?"
Hearing Eduard’s voice, she was stunned. "What? I..." Nôvel(D)ra/ma.Org exclusive © material.
Then, she paused for a moment, and suddenly remembered the thing. One day, her cell phone rung,
Stanley said it was a sales call, so he helped her blacklist the phone number.
Isobel pursed her lips, "Eduard, I’m sorry."
The meaning of this sentence was obvious. Eduard was silent for a moment and then said, "I respect
your choice."
"Thank you."
After hanging up, Isobel found that Stanley hadn’t left yet.
She frowned, "Stanley, go to do your own business. Thank you very much for taking care of me
recently."
"Stop it. Get in the car!"
Stanley was different from Eduard. He entered the society at a very young age. His principle was that
the people and things he liked belong to him after they were robbed by him.
The Francis family was very powerful, and Isobel was willing to be with Hamish, so Stanley could only
bear it.
Now that Isobel and Hamish were separated, if he didn’t seize the opportunity to pursue Isobel, he
would be a fool.
However, Isobel didn’t think so much about it.
That night’s information and Hamish’s words were like a sharp knife cutting her apart. She felt so
painful that she wanted to die.
Stanley pushed Isobel straight into the car. Before Isobel could react, Stanley had already fastened the
seat belt for her.
Stanley stepped on the accelerator, the car left the hospital.
She looked at him and said, "Stanley, I’m not worthy of your care."
"It’ not up to you, while it’s up to me."
Isobel didn’t speak again. She knew that it was no use saying anything, just as she was determined to
be with Hamish.
She just didn’t expect that Hamish would ruin it after she gave her sincere heart to Hamish.
From the beginning to the end, she was the only one who was spoony and sincere. Everything Hamish
did was for revenge.
