The Rejected Luna: Daddy, Where is Mommy?

“Be careful with your words, Alisha. You’re talking about that woman who gave birth to our princess.” Lemieux said, saving her from Calvin’s anger.

Calvin admitted her to the pack hospital as soon as possible. And didn’t leave the hospital throughout the time.

“How is she, doctor?” Calvin asked.

“Thankfully, non of her organs are injured. I have removed the silver bullets from her body and given antidote of the wolfsbane in her system. As for now, she is not healing, but the moment her wolf will be back, she will start healing her human.”

“Okay. Thank you.” Calvin said and nodded his head when the doctor left from there after bowing his head in front of him.

“What now, Alpha?” Lemieux asked, wondering what his Alpha was going to do next because Ethlyn was finally inside the pack.

“I can’t push this woman away from my daughter more than this. Because the more I would do that, I would stoop low in my own eyes and my princess’s eyes.” Calvin muttered with a frown. “That’s why now, I will not push her way, but my princess will,” he said with a smile and watched the time.

“Let’s go. It’s time for the training.”

On the other side,

A lady in her early fifties with blonde hair and green eyes checked the time again while traveling on the flight.

“It will take a couple of hours more to reach, Mon Amour [My Love]. Please sleep.” A man in his early sixties mumbled, placing a kiss on her forehead.

*

A few hours later!!

Ethlyn stirred in her sleep and felt a soft mattress under her. Without opening her eyes, she inhaled the scent around her to see where she was at that moment, and she quickly opened her eyes when she realized she was in the hospital smelling the scent of medicines and sound and sound of cries of babies, people calling ‘doctor’ and a few more.

She looked around and found an old lady sitting beside her and reading a magazine.

“Good Morning, Ms. Smith,” Nelina said, seeing her awake.

“Good Morning,” Ethlyn said and recalled what had happened last night and how she could have landed in the pack hospital. ‘Now that I’m inside the pack. I have to use this opportunity to meet my daughter.’ She thought.

“How are you feeling now?” Nelina asked.

“Not that great.” Ethlyn half lied. It was true that she wasn’t feeling good, but it was because she didn’t have proper food, not because of the incident that happened last night.

Nelina chuckled at her answer before speaking, “You’re all right, Ms. Smith. The doctor has confirmed about it. If you’re trying to fool me so that you won’t get kicked out of the pack, then relax. That’s not happening.” She added.

“I just that because Calvin asked me to bring you to the pack house so that you can meet our princess,” Nelina said, widening Ethlyn’s eyes.

“I’m alright. I’m completely fine.” She said, quickly leaving the bed. She couldn’t wait for a second to meet Roselet. She didn’t know what made a change in Calvin’s heart, but whatever it was, she didn’t want to waste the moment.

“Well, that’s a lie. You’re not completely fine.” Nelina pointed out.

“Please, I want to meet my daughter.” Ethlyn requested, changing the topic.

“All right.” Nelina agreed and got a bag from the couch. “Change your clothes first.” She said, giving that bag to her. Ethlyn looked inside a found a dress inside. She wasn’t sure whether it would fit her or not, but when she checked the size, it was of her size but was a used dress.

Ethlyn didn’t ask the real owner of the dress and changed from a hospital gown to that chiffon-smocked tiered midi dress. She tied her caramel hair color into a high pony tale and then looked at Nelina.

“I’m ready now,” Ethlyn said, to which Nelina looked at her carefully; Roselet definitely didn’t take up on her.

“Come with me,” Nelina said, and Ethlyn started following her in excitement and happiness to finally meet Roselet. She rehearsed the sentences that she would speak when she would meet her pup. Ethlyn’s jaw almost dropped when she saw the size of the pack house. Except for the pack house, there were only eighteen small houses around it. “This way.” Nelina guided.

“All the pack members stay in a one-pack house?” Ethlyn asked in surprise.

“Yes, This mansion has 2401 rooms,” Nelina replied. “Calvin has started this pack from scratch after whatever had happened around fifty years back. So, not everyone could afford a house then.”

They entered the elevator, and after a while, they walked out to the topmost floor of the packhouse. Ethlyn realized Nelina was someone close to Calvin because she wasn’t just calling him by his name but also had the Pincode of the lock at the entrance of the penthouse.

“Now, another song, Calvin.” She heard Roselet’s excited tone. Her feet started following her voice.

“Sure. How about this one?” Calvin asked her and started making sounds by hitting his foot on the floor.

‘There once was a ship that put to sea

The name of the ship was the Billy of Tea

The winds blew up, her bow dipped down

Oh blow, my bully boys, blow (huh)’

*

In the next paragraph, Roselet joined him happily, enjoying the song and also her time with her daddy. Ethlyn reached where they were singing.

*

‘Soon may the Wellerman come

To bring us sugar and tea and rum

One day, when the tonguing is done

We’ll take our leave and go’
