The Rejected Luna: Daddy, Where is Mommy?

14

‘I would have to apologize to him or her, and what if he or she wouldn’t forgive me?’ Ethlyn thought and looked at her father. “Where is my pup, dad? I… I have to apologize to him or her for… for not having with him or her when she or he would have missed or wanted me the most.”

“Moon Goddess!! What kind of mother I am. I don’t even know whether my pup is a boy or girl.” She said and wiped the tears.

“Mom, dad!! Answer me something.”

“Ethlyn, sweetheart!!” Abigail thought to answer that question because, looking at the face of her mate, it looked like he was ready to spill the beans any moment. “The doctor couldn’t save your pup.” She said, cupping, Ethlyn’s face.

The excitement, happiness, sadness, and all other expression wiped from Ethlyn’s face were wiped in a second after hearing this.

Calvin thought of spending some time with his sister rather than sleeping, and also he had to return back to his love as well. He couldn’t stay away from her for long, and this was the both-way feeling; even Roselet couldn’t stay away from him for more than a day.

When he walked out of the room, he watched her sister throwing a tantrum.

“I don’t want to eat anything.” She whined and walked here and there in the living room while her mate followed her with a plate in his hand.

“Just a little, Liara. You need to eat something; you vomited everything that you ate in the morning.”

“Please!! I’m requesting you.”

“I’m doing the same. Come here, love.” Calvin’s eyes widened in shock upon hearing this. The last thing he remembered from his previous meeting, Liara’s mate, didn’t want her but Tiara.

Liara shook her head and hid behind Calvin, teasing her mate.

“Give this plate to me. I will make sure that she will finish everything.” Calvin offered his help, on which his brother-in-law gave him a plate, and left from there.

“Come here!!” Calvin said, holding her arms to make her sit on the couch.

“I don’t want to eat.”

“All right, just seven spoons,” Calvin said, already calculating that how he could make her eat all the oats. He had a habit of handling his princess, so he knew how to make some eat the whole food. “I promise, just seven spoons.”

“Okay! Seven spoons.” Liara agreed.

“So, you’re happy with him?” He questioned, to which she nodded her head. “But he didn’t want you in the beginning as much as he was interested in Tee.” He pointed out.

“Sometimes things are not exactly what it looks like,” Liara said before adding. “Sometimes our own eyes and ears can deceive us.”

“Ahh!! Maybe you’re right. And how’re you adjusting yourself in this… hellhole?”

“Look around. Do you think that I’m in hell?” Liara questioned. “Dad… I mean, his father started making changes in this place from the moment I came here! Everyone around here is different but… but not bad, at least, not his family members.”

“Does that mean others are bad?” Calvin asked in concern. Liara didn’t reply to anything for a while. “Tell me, Lee.”

“They are rouges, Calvin, and because of me, dad is making rules, changing ways of living, so yes, I’m trouble in most of the rouge’s eyes. But you don’t have to worry about me. I can take care of myself, and my new family is with me.” Liara responded. Calvin clenched his jaw in anger but kept his mouth shut. “By the way, I’m full now.” She said, pushing the plate away.Content protected by Nôv/el(D)rama.Org.

“But two spoons are still left.”

“I’m done, please. Or I will vomit all.” Liara said, making a face. Calvin didn’t insist on her and finished her remaining oats. “What the? Why are you eating my leftover food? You used to hate doing that.”

“Those habits are long gone. My love has a habit of tasting everything and then leaving it, so I now started eating leftovers.” Calvin chuckled.

“So, what have you thought about her Mommy?” Liara asked, smiling.

“That woman.” Calvin shook his head in a big NO.

“Don’t tell me that you lost your taste in women after Rose’s arrival. I found her beautiful and…”

“I don’t want anyone to keep a beautiful Luna as a showpiece. At the end of the day, I believe in inner beauty more than outer appearance, and a woman who can sleep with some random person even when she has a mate is characterless in my life. And you don’t know anything about her. I met her once before that night; of course, she was a best friend of a golddigger and character woman. Can you imagine that? On the top, she was trying to protect a witch like that even though she knew that her best friend was wrong and was lying.”

With that, Calvin told her everything that had happened years back.

“You could have revealed her real face just in front of your friend as well instead of making that wedding an entertainment show,” Liara said to which Calvin rolled his eyes. “I know you were doing the right thing, but by doing this, you created a situation in the wedding because of which you have no idea how much embarrassing it would have become for the bride’s family members to get punished for nothing.”

“I…”

“Listen to me, big brother!! How will you feel if anyone will insult our parents for the mistake that you made?” Liara asked, stopping him from speaking.
