Chapter Twelve
Alessandro
After sending out the order, I turned around with my eyes closed, feeling a mix of emotions. I was frustrated, disappointed, and a little embarrassed. I Alessandro, the fierce king of the vampires that have lived for ages can’t possibly be mated to that filthy dog!
I puffed out a breath and sighed. Lighting my cigarette, I heard Marco say, “Get her up and follow me,” as he ordered the guards, I smirked and slightly nodded my head.
“No….” I heard her protest as she struggled, “You can’t possibly kill me!!” She yelled, and at that moment, I felt Dante, who had strangely fallen silent since we discovered she was our soulmate, stir within me at the sound of her anguished cry.
I clenched my fists, feeling a surge of anger coursing through me as I realized the damn effect her cries had on me. “You bloody monsters, let me go!” she yelled, fighting to release herself against the tight grip of my men as they dragged her out of the room.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing?” I froze, caught off-guard by Dante’s sudden question.
“Hey, beasty,” I chuckled, trying to act like I didn’t hear his question.
“What are you doing, Aless?” He asked again with curiosity, while the echoes of our mate’s voice lingered in the room. I let out a frustrated sigh, my ears tingling in irritation by her loud scream. “Fuck that sh*t!” I growled inwardly.
“Aless!” he called, his voice thick and serious, like when he seemed pissed off. Dante can be quite the uncontrollable power-hungry beast, so I wonder why the unnecessary question when he knows damn well what I wanted to do.
“Killing her….. Her presence is of no use here,” I retort, hating the idea that she was ours.
“Don’t kill mate!”
“WHAT!!” I snapped at him, surprised at the word that left his lips. “M… ate,” I stuttered before my nose crinkled up in disgust.
“Fine… We’re gonna talk later, but right now, killing her ain’t the right option,” he pointed out. “Stop acting on your emotions, dude. She might be of use.” I groaned, knowing exactly what he was getting at.
“She’s our enemy,” I reminded him, trying to snap him out of those lustful glances he was throwing her way.
“And….?” He raised his brow at me, “Do you have a problem with that or could you afford to let her go and have another fool out there have a taste of her?” He said and I felt my fists clenched by my sides.
“You bloody hungry beast, I know your intentions,” I glared at him. “Haha….. Fine! You got me there, now that we have mate, won’t you allow us to experience what it feels like to have sex with our mates,”
“DANTE!!”
“Shhhh, I can sense that you desire the same thing,” he said seductively, teasing me.
I gulped hard at his words, knowing that what he was saying was true. “Control your desires,” I warned, my voice dripping with anger. “She can’t be with us. In our history, everyone has gotten a mate, both fated or chosen, but never with those dogs! I can’t possibly be the first,” I growled out in resentment.
“Do you know the slap on my face if anyone finds out that we are mates!” I reminded him of the rules of our pack, that those people deserve to be our slaves, not our mates!Content rights by NôvelDr//ama.Org.
However, he suddenly went quiet before he muttered after a while, “I just wanted a taste of her that’s all and I know you also want the same thing,”
Fuck it!!… As soon as the expletive escaped his lips, I knew that there was no need to continue denying my own yearning because he was not ready to give up. We are obviously more like one so there was no need to lie, the taste of her has been lingering in our minds since we first saw her in the dream. I signed looking away, not wanting to continue the conversation again.
I can feel the anger coursing through my veins. Hissing I then turned around and my gaze settled on the struggling female and I felt something hardened in between my legs causing a frustrated groan to escape my lips. But I quickly tore my gaze away. It’s infuriating that she knows the fact that I could easily end her life in a swift of hand but yet she is still ranting without any care in the world.
Staring straight into the thin air, and then something suddenly flashed through my mind, causing me to turn around again, and my gaze fixated on her. Looking at her a mischievous smile spread across my face as I thought about Marco’s words. He might be right that she could earn a fortune for the pack, but I won’t let that happen. And besides, Dante is right as well, I won’t allow her to get sold perhaps later but just not right now. She is our enemy and was paired with us by the moon goddess, right? Knowing fully well that it was an abomination and never heard of but yet she paired us together. She can’t disgrace me….. NEVER!!!
Smiling, I looked at her futile attempts to break free, a mischievous idea crossed my mind and I couldn’t help but smirk. Instead of giving her a swift death, I decided to make it slow and painful. But then, a different thought struck me. Why waste the opportunity for her to suffer longer by selling her or killing her instantly? She would pay for getting tangled with me, and of course, Selena would witness her little puppet transform into a mere shadow of her former self.
As I took a drag from my cigarette, a wicked grin spread across my face, observing my men forcefully pulling her out of the office. “Hold on a second!” I shouted, interrupting their actions.
“Bring her back,” I barked out a command, bringing everyone to a halt. The room fell silent, and all eyes were fixed on me. I already know what’s on their minds; of course, they expect me to shred her into pieces instantly.
But nah… nah! That’d be too easy. Marco gave a nod to the guards, who instantly understood and forced her down to her knees in front of me, despite her resistance. With the cigarette still in my hand, smoke swirling from my mouth, I took a closer look at her but she immediately twisted her face in disgust and quickly turned her head away from the smoke. It irritated me, so I gave a nod to one of my men, who forcefully grabbed her chin and made her look in my direction.
Damn, those eyes…! Those eyes of hers seem so tempting like a lush green pasture. So deep and alluring. “See, I told you she’s stunning,” Dante remarked, but I closed my eyes, trying to ignore him and the lustful sparks that were already forming in my head.
However, after a while, I opened my eyes to speak when suddenly Dante’s words came up again, “Come on, believe me, she Is going to taste so good,”
“DANTE!!… cut it out!” I growled inwardly, giving him a warning look.
Getting furious, I puff out the smoke in her face when looking into those alluring eyes which had already swollen and wet with tears.
“Are you okay, King Alessandro,” Lucas asked, noticing that I was taking too long to shred her into pieces. I was never a patient type though.
Everyone looked uncomfortable, confusion evident on their faces. But before I could say anything, I felt Dante jump in right again. “She’s crying, poor thing,” he said sarcastically. But I immediately shut him down by blocking him, surprising myself with my assertiveness. It was a move I rarely made before.
“Damn it! Shit!” I muttered, leaning forward and gritting my teeth. Unfortunately, my outburst only piqued their curiosity even more. Looking at them, I sighed. I know that they will be wondering what was wrong with me, I just need to put myself together.
Straightening myself, a slight cough escaped my lips as my face darkened. “Torture her very well till she says the truth,” I commanded, leaving no room for any argument.
Everyone understood and nodded. They held and swallowed back the words they wanted to say, noticing the murderous look on my face, but I could see a devilish smirk on Marco’s lips. Which made my head spin restlessly with a whirlwind of questions.
“Take her away,” Marco ordered, and the guards pulled her up and started dragging her away.
Looking at their retracting figure, I couldn’t help but wonder if Marco knew that we were mates. Since he was the only one among us three who had already found his mate, I believe he will know when he sees one. That smirk on his face was making me restless. I couldn’t help but wonder what it meant. Did he know? Was I too obvious? Why is he smirking?
