The Last Ceo’s Deal

Worst nightmare

CHAPTER FOUR.

Fanuel POV

“Celine right?” I asked the blonde haired secretary who kept blushing at every word that came out of my mouth. I’m in Hudson chemicals with Jayden to find out some ripples about the company’s status.

“Yes sir.”

“Get me the financial records of the last six months as well as the auditors report.” I told her and she shifted uncomfortably.

“I’m sorry sir, the manager is in possession of those files.”

“And where’s he?”

“He’s yet to arrive.” I sigh in frustration and ruffled my hands on my hair.

“Get me the keys to my father’s office asap.” I told her but she creased a frown.

“Mr Webb is in possession of that too.” I gritted my teeth in annoyance.

“Who the heck is Mr Webb?”

“The acting manager of the company sir, your father actually gave him the authority to possess that.” She said and I snorted in response.

Authority my ass.ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

I looked at Jayden in confusion who seemed to be lost in thought.

“There has to be a spare key right? Every office has every spare key just in case of careless hands.” Jayden said and Celine’s eyes snapped open.

“Exactly sir! The spare keys must be in the store room. Let me inform the security to get it at once.” She said and was about to leave.

“Summon all the board members of Hudson’s chemicals also in the boardroom. I need to make a very important announcement and do some research about the company.” I told her and she nodded excitedly. Why is she so happy about a simple word I made…

ugh!! What’s so special about a simple meeting?

“Maybe she’s already star struck with your beau…I mean you’re always the attention stealer, always ravishing as always.”Jayden says I rolled my eyes so hard.

“Are you kinda hitting up on me?” I ask him.

“I wish.”

“You dummy, I’m not a gay,

get someone else to fit in your magical love story.”

“Too bad , you’re the only one that I see and the air that I breathe.” He says dramatically and I hit him on the head.

“Stop being sarcastic Jay, we have a very important meeting to attend.”

“At Least it’s not a war zone.” He says and dragged his sarcastic self to the board room.

The Board members made me feel slightly intimidated, Like what is it with elderly powerful men dressed in suits and staring at me like a high school kid that wants to address elders. There were few young people though, the ladies were staring at him like an ice-cream they desperately wanted to lick. Or should somebody explain all these extraordinary smiles with lips biting?

I cleared my throat and went straight to the point, I had a lot to do and beating about the bush won’t help.

“Good day Ladies and gentlemen, I’m Fanuel Hurdson the eldest son to the CEO Hudson chemical technologies which is currently in a stable health condition. I will be taking over his place as the new CEO, so I would like us to introduce ourselves and discuss the Crack wall at hand concerning the company.”

I said and sat down.

The introduction was very brief and I never failed to take notice of the HR(Head of resources), The accountant, Head of department and the Chemical engineer.

“So what project has been completed so far.” I asked the accountant who stood up with a very elegant poise and professionalism. His sky blue suit hugged tightly to him like his second skin.

“The completed project so far was the National Petroleum agency in Houston city signed by your father for the dilution and filtration of unwanted oils and chemicals in their depot.

The second one took place at the White prison in East America. The deputy head of the FBI department had required strong paint chemicals to be used in every door of the inmates to avoid immediate rusting.

That was the two longest projects done In the last Six months.” He said and looked at me for more questions.

“So how much was budgeted in the projects?”

“About 30 trillion dollars.”

“Okay, the project you mentioned clarified my father’s dealings with the National Petroleum Agency and the White prison. How about other projects carried out without his interference.”

“That should be the ones handled by Mr Webb. The first two projects and contract was with King Royals academy in Korea and New Jersey Specialist Hospital.”

“Specialist hospital?”

“Yes sir, they needed a lot of various chemicals to be used in the laboratory. I can’t recall the names of the chemicals right now, but I’m sure to send you a report of the required chemical that cost 100 billion dollars.

The founder of King Royals signed a contract with the company about the urgency of chemical engineers to fix their light generating plant used in the academy.”

“hmmn…so how far have we gone in that?” I asked him and was impressed at how the company was going places and signing contracts and projects.

“We haven’t done anything yet sir.” My eyes snapped open.

“What?!”

“Sir the money which was supposed to be used in implementing the project was sealed and stamped by the manager not to be withdrawn yet for any of the project.”

“Why would he say that?” Jayden now asked.

“I truly can’t tell.”

“And what does the Head of the chemical department have to say about this?” I turned and faced the Man who should be in his fifties or so, dressed in a light gray suit and transparent spectacles of dark frame hung restly on his semi wrinkled face.

“He had a delicate reason for doing that. The last time I confronted him about it, he said he was making adequate provisions for the project and 100% solid research for every chemical to be used In the hospital and in the academy.” I scoff loudly.

“For how long?”

“That shouldn’t give him a warrant of pending down international projects, still on this pending issue has moved Oak Bay mining investors to sue this company to court.” Jayden added and Everyone turned to look at him nodding their heads in agreement.

“Head of the Mining department, what do you have to say about this?” I asked the beautiful petite lady who was listening to every word with rapt attention.

“With all due respect sir, I think the Manager has everything to do with this. The Oak Bay contract fee wasn’t paid into the company’s account, Mr Karl can attest to that” She faced the accountant who nodded his head affirmatively.

“He made mention of a joint company account he created with the international monetary fund to enable the company to have a large interest rate with any money Invested in there, he had proof and his secretary claimed to have been there in the bank with him.”

“What joint bullshit is that?” I say now panicking.

“International monetary fund is an Institution for banks for long term loan or short term loan.” Their eyes went wide and they stared at each other.

“The last time the Oak Bay miners were here he asked them to come back in two weeks after waiting for them for a month plus. I requested to see him concerning the issue but he kept giving flimsy excuses so I had no choice but to apply for the completion of the Oak Bay project.”

I bang my first on the table angrily, I’m panicking with fear of the uncertain and I hope it shouldn’t be what I’m thinking.

“How can you people be so daft as to let someone control every means of finances? ” I yelled.

“He was the Acting manager of the company after your dad, the authority he possessed was superior and we felt he was doing the right thing.” The accountant said and I almost gave him a smack for saying such.

“And you couldn’t ask questions, you inform the CEO that something isn’t right!! You’re the one that’s supposed to be in control of the company’s account, not him!!

I can’t believe he possesses all the files!!” I calmed my breaths and calmly asked Celine for the spare keys to his office and my dad’s, I hope I shouldn’t discover my worst nightmare.
