Chapter 498 True or Fake Boris
Chapter 498 True or Fake Boris
Edison’s brows furrowed with displeasure as Princess Lia brought up the matter once again.
Princess Lia, attentive to his reactions, quickly interjected, “I know you disdain resorting to such methods, but tonight you witnessed it yourself, her emotions were clearly influenced by Boris. It’s evident that she still cares deeply about him. Can you accept the fact that she’s by your side, yet her feelings are being stirred by another man?”
Edison tightly pursed his thin lips.
Sensing his wavering, Princess Lia added fuel to the fire, “Since you’re about to propose to her soon, what difference does it make it you become intimate with her now? Are you the kind of person who shirks responsibilities?”
“Of course not,” Edison immediately refuted.
“Well, there you have it,” Princess Lia urged him on, giving him a nudge. “Go ahead!”
Edison’s lips moved, but he ultimately remained silent.
He got into the car and instructed the driver, “Let’s go.”
The journey passed in silence.
Upon arriving at the hotel entrance, Ziana stepped out, devold of any vitality.
She mechanically moved forward, with Edison faithfully trailing behind her.
Upon reaching the door of the room, they attempted to swipe the key card multiple times, but it refused to open.
From behind, Edison extended his hand, took hold of the card, and managed to swipe it open. His voice carried warmth as he said, “Ziana, in you go.”
It was then that Ziana, as if rousing from a daze, looked at him with astonishment. “Edison? You… you didn’t leave?”
Edison smiled bitterly. “No, seeing you in this state worried me greatly, so I decided to stay tonight and take care of you.”
Ziana recollected the conversation she overheard between Edison and his mother in the car.
Despite their hushed tones, her extraordinary hearing allowed her to catch every word clearly, leaving her well aware of their intentions.
She leaned against the door, refusing to let him in.
Feigning confusion, Edison inquired, “Ziana?”
“Edison…” She gazed at him with reddened eyes, shaking her head in refusal. “My mind is truly in disarray. Can you please allow me to be alone in peace?”
Edison’s worried expression deepened, his gaze filled with longing. “I understand that you need time to sort out your thoughts, but I promise I won’t say a word. I’ll simply accompany you quietly.”
Ziana let out a deep sigh. “I’m sorry.”
With that, she closed the door.
Edison’s voice echoed from the other side, “Okay then, Ziana. Rest well, and I’ll come to see you tomorrow.”
Zlana offered no response. After shutting the door, she immediately dialed Boris’ number.
That matter was far from over!
She made more than a dozen attempts, but his phone remained turned off.
She tried calling Nell, but it was still Impossible to get through.
After contemplating for just two minutes, Ziana decided to wait in their previous hotel room.
Ever since that fateful night they spent together, Ziana had moved out of the room he had booked and switched to at different hotel.
Alone in her car, Ziana drove back to the hotel where they had previously stayed. Approaching the front desk, Ziana was surprised to learn that he hadn’t checked out yet.
She took out her key card and let herself into the room.
The room was engulfed in darkness, devoid of any presence.
Ziana sank into the sofa and continued her relentless barrage of phone calls to him.
She couldn’t find calm within herself, nor did she want to. Anger and heartbreak consumed her, and she desperately needed a target to unleash her emotions upon!
The plane landed.
Boris opened his sleepy eyes, a deep-seated resentment gleaming within. “We’ve arrived?”
In a hushed voice, Nell replied, “Yes, we’re in Wesbruck. The car is waiting downstairs.”
Boris nodded, stood up, and strode off the plane with his long strides.
As he walked, he powered on his phone, only to be met with an unexpected lag-
Boris furrowed his brow and commanded Nell, “Go buy me a new phone.”
“Of course.”
Setting the phone aside, Boris picked it up again when it finally regained its normal functioning. In an instant, he was taken aback by the multitude of missed calls.
There were over a hundred!
And they were all from Ziana!
Boris’ heart skipped a beat. What could have happened for Ziana to desperately seek him out like this?
Was she in danger?
“Where is Ziana right now?” His face darkened, and his piercing eyes flickered with a dangerous light.
In a low voice, Nell replied, “Mr. Lewis, please wait a moment.”
He made a call and quickly reported back to Boris, “Ziana is waiting for you in your room.”
“But didn’t she move out?” Despite not being physically present in Wesbruck, Boris was well-informed about Ziana’s situation.
“That’s correct. However, for some reason, Ziana suddenly came back alone tonight, and she doesn’t look well,” Nell truthfully relayed the information he had. “Perhaps she encountered some difficulties.”
Thinking of her face, Boris felt a pang of heartache and issued a grave instruction, “Drive faster!”
Understanding, Boris’ desperate yearning to see his wife, Nell pressed down on the accelerator without hesitation.
Just then, Boris’ phone received another incoming call.
It was Ziana once again!
Boris hurriedly answered, his tone brimming with unmistakable longing. “It’s me. Why have you made so many calls?”
“Boris!” Ziana gritted her teeth. “This is far from over. How dare you treat me like that? I won’t let you get away with it! Where are you now? I’m coming to find you! Tonight, you will pay the price for what you’ve done!”
As Boris listened to her menacing tone, a shadow of gloom washed over his handsome face.
His eyes squinted. “What happened tonight? What are you talking about?”
He had just returned from Galia and hadn’t even seen Ziana!
What was she babbling about?
“Ziana, have you been drinking?” he asked, with a hint of displeasure.
Ziana exploded with anger. “Don’t play dumb! Boris! I never thought you could be this cruel and disgusting! How could you… How could you hurt me like this! I hate you! I hate you so much! I wish I could kill you right now! Where are you? Tell me where you are!”
“Where are you?” He sensed that something was amiss and spoke in a cold tone. “I’m coming to find you!”
“In your room!”
“Wait there!”
After ending the call, Boris suddenly asked, “Where did Ziana go tonight? Who did she meet? What happened?”
A dark aura enveloped him, like a king in the depths of the night, and his voice carried an unprecedented chill
Just listening to him, Nell felt trapped in a freezer.
He conveyed the gathered information to Boris. “Tonight, Ziana went to the Elegant Poetry Hotel with Edison. It seems they went to meet Princess Lia because she was there too. However, I don’t know the specifics of what happened. The Elegant Poetry Hotel is not open to everyone; it requires approval from Pablo to stay there.”
Boris tapped his thigh with a finger, lost in thought.
The car sped towards the hotel.
Boris strode swiftly, quickly returning to the room.
As he pushed the door open, the figure sitting on the sofa stirred.
Like a ghost, she lunged towards him, her slender fingers reaching for Borls’ neck!
In the next moment,
Boris, in the darkness, swiftly and accurately grasped her wrist, applying pressure, while simultaneously delivering a forceful kick to her leg
She stumbled and fell into Boris’ embrace.
Boris smirked coldly, gazing down at her. “Is this all the skill you have? And you think you can kill me?”
“Boris!” Ziana stared at him fiercely. Property © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Boris covered her eyes with one hand and used the other to switch on the lights.
Ziana struggled relentlessly, her hands rendered useless, attempting to kick him.
Boris adeptly evaded her attempt and swiftly retrieved a belt from his waist, binding her hands tightly behind her back.
“Let me go!”
“What’s gotten into you?” Boris sneered, removing his tie and securing her legs, then tossing her onto the sofa.
Boris leaned over, his hands resting on either side of her. “Tell me what happened tonight.”
