The Great Medical Saint

Chapter 193

Rachel didn't know whether to laugh or cry at Tracy's words. Matthew's claims of wanting to repay his debt with his body were easy enough to understand. He just wanted to get in her pants. He owed her money and still wanted to sleep with her. How shameless! Tracy didn't understand the situation and even wanted to take her place. Wasn't she just serving herself up to Matthew on a silver platter?

Rachel said, "Tracy, you don't know what's going on. I'll tell you about it once we get back!"

Tracy only grew more enthusiastic upon thinking she understood the situation. "Your troubles are mine, so I'll handle this for you.

"If you're worried that I won't be able to handle it alone, we can do it together. I find it hard to believe that we won't be able to handle him if we work together!"

Did they want to deal with him together? Matthew's gaze traveled between the two women.

One was a gorgeous ice queen with a hot body, while the other was a fiery maiden with an enchanting sexiness. If they were to come at him together... The mere thought of it made his mouth run dry.

Rachel swatted Tracy in exasperation. "Stop your nonsense! Look, let's forget about this for now. Matthew and I need to head out. I'll tell you about this when I get back."

She was worried Tracy would say something else to make the situation even more awkward, so she decided to end the conversation. Then, she and Matthew left.

Tracy shook her head and muttered, "You have no idea how powerful Matthew is. We're no match for him even if we combine our forces. How can you not want my help in collecting your debt from him?"

...

Rachel and Matthew arrived at Squarestone Building on Signworth Street. As they headed inside, Rachel said, "Terry Watson isn't just rich. He also has many connections.

"If he doesn't invest in our new project, we'll still have the money to continue with production. But it'll be hard to get a manufacturing license the next time we want to develop a new medication."

Matthew had an idea of the situation now. "Got it. We just need to convince him to continue supporting the Carter family, right?"

She nodded. "Yeah. His office is over there. Remember not to speak out of turn when you see him later.

"In fact, it's best if you don't say anything. He has a bit of a weird temperament and might just turn on us if we say anything to piss him off."

"Oh." Matthew followed Rachel.

Suddenly, they both stopped when they saw Sheldon coming out of Terry's office. He was facing them, so there was no way they could miss him.

Rachel's expression turned ugly when she saw him. She hadn't dared to storm the Smith family to demand an answer for why they'd tried to snatch the Carter family's herbs because the Carter family was no match for the Smith family.

If things got out of hand, the Carter family's business partners would probably flee before she could say anything. She had no choice but to suppress her displeasure and force out a smile to greet Sheldon.

"I didn't expect to run into you here, Mr. Smith."

Sheldon's gaze was trained on Matthew. He suddenly had the urge to attack the latter. Matthew was stronger than he'd expected, but still worthless compared to him.

He soon gave up on the desire to pick a fight. Powerful people had strong mentalities, not just strong fists.

Matthew was nothing but a brainless brute whom he could have fun with whenever he wanted. He didn't need to resort to comparing his skills with someone like that.

Matthew returned Sheldon's gaze

calmly. He knew Sheldon was behind the herb-snatching incident, but Rachel was the one who would decide what to do under the

circumstances. Because of that, he remained calm and aloof from

beginning to end.

Sheldon was surprised by Matthew's reaction. It was much calmer than he'd expected. When he heard Rachel speak to him, he smiled and said, "Well, I guessed you would be here, Ms. Carter.

"I was just talking to Terry because I heard he wanted to pull out his investment in Wealthwave Group's new medication. I know it'll have a huge effect on your company."Text © owned by NôvelDrama.Org.

Rachel smiled faintly. "Yes, it will. That's why I'm here to talk to Mr. Watson."

Sheldon's smile turned mirthless.

"There's no need for you to head

inside because he'll just kick you out.

He said there's no doubt this new medication will be a failure and that he'll just be making losses if he doesn't pull out.

"He also said that he'll kick anyone from Wealthwave Group out of his office-even Fred."

Rachel felt even more upset when she heard that. She was positive Sheldon had done something to cause this, but she couldn't get angry at him just yet. "I still want to meet him, even if I end up getting kicked out." Sheldon shook his head slightly. "Go ahead and give it a try if you don't believe me then. You'll see what it's like to run into a wall."

Rachel waved at him before heading to Terry's office. Sheldon didn't leave. He pulled out a cigarette and lit it while waiting.

He watched Rachel enter Terry's office and mumbled, "I'll count to three. You'll get kicked out by then. One... Two..."

Matthew followed Rachel into the

office. The first thing he saw was a fat man who looked to be 27 or 28. His hair was slicked back with get and each strand of hair had been combed neatly. It was as smooth and slick as if a dog had licked it.

Beside him sat a woman with an hourglass figure. She wore a uniform that wrapped around her body like it was a second skin.

She was the type who could arouse any man-she had enough curves to make any man hard. She held a coffee and was stirring it with a spoon. Matthew could guess their relationship-this was Terry and his secretary.
