The Girlboss Begs for Remarriage

Chapter 1789

Chapter 1789

Hans Schnee, the commander of the East Coast Base, was never a subordinate to Frank's father, the Lord of the Southern Woods.

Instead, he was a subordinate to Frank's maternal grandfather!

It was actually not surprising that when Frank fled to the east coast from the South Sea, he somehow ended up here by various coincidences and circumstances.

His father was just sending him to his grandfather's side, and there was probably no place in Draconia that was safer than here.

It was therefore not surprising either that the Four Families of Morhen, especially the Soranos, never dared to move against him. As the truth dawned upon Frank, he found some comfort in finding refuge.

However, he remained his rebellious self inside, and he would rather his grandfather did not interfere with his affairs too much. Leaving his destiny in the hands of someone else simply made him uncomfortable.

"You're just like your mother-you don't like me meddling in your life, do you? Don't worry, I'm not going to repeat past mistakes." Seemingly reading Frank's mind, Governor Quill turned to grin at Frank, tousling Frank's hair.

Somehow, his grin was creepy even to Frank.

"I'm just here to check on you, and I'm satisfied to see you healthy and lively.

"As for them..."

Governor Quill glanced at Leino and his officers. "I'm having my men investigating them, and the truth will be out soon enough."

"Thank you... Grandfather," Frank said, the word something weird as he did not expect to have a living grandfather.

"Hehe..."

The old man was pleased to hear Frank call him grandfather, though his grin became even more creepy.

"And you're Frank's wife?"

Governor Quill turned his attention toward Helen just then.

She flinched and turned pale but did her best to look up at him and smile.

"Haha... You really don't have to strain yourself."

"No, sir..."ConTEent bel0ngs to Nôv(e)lD/rama(.)Org .

Helen glanced at Frank before

bowing her head. "You're Frank's et

grandfather, so that means you're my grandfather too. I'd never flinch or be distant to an elder."

"Hahaha... Good, good."

Governor Quill was really happy to hear such words from Helen.

Laughing, he turned and started toward the luxury sedan he arrived on, murmuring, "Oh, Tiff... You'd definitely be proud of your son if you were alive..."

"Tiff..."

Frank recognized the name-it was his mother's pet name, which his father used.

There was no doubting it now-the man before him was his maternal grandfather. "Grandfather!"

He called out to him, looking straight in Governor Quill's terrifying gaze as he spoke solemnly, "I won't allow my mother's death to go unanswered... Never!"

Governor Quill was taken aback when he saw how serious Frank was, but he soon smiled and shook his head.

"Silly child... there's nothing better than seeing you growing up healthy."

He chuckled. "Anyway, I should stop embarrassing everyone. Just cal Hans Schnee whenever you're free, and visit me at the East Coast Base. This old man isn't going to be

around forever."

As he started to leave with a servant's assistance, Frank went down on one knee with a thud, saluting him in departure.

Phew...

Once Governor Quill got into his car, everyone—including the visitors who had yet to leave from sheer terror-all breathed a collective sigh of relief.
