Now that he had said it out loud, she was at a loss for words. She became uncomfortable, wanting to escape, but his grip on her waist was strong. "Don't run, Lydia; it drives me crazy," he said.
"I am talking about what you want us to do in public, you." She started to find words.
"I will hold your hand in public; as time passes, will hold you in public; in no time, I will kiss you in public," he said, and she started pushing him off. "It is late; you should go," she said, and he let go of her.
"Can't I stay here? I liked watching you sleep," he said. Seeing as she was not as opposed to his words and touch as he had thought, he became brave. For some reason she looked like a bunny when she protested.
"When did you see me sleep?" she asked.
"How can you forget? The entire university now knows I slept in your tent that night," he teased, and her eyes rounded into small globes.
"Everybody? What do you mean by everybody?" She had not gotten a chance to read the comments before.
"Ah, someone from camp said they saw me come out of your tent that night," he said nonchalantly, and she panicked over to her bag on the table and started trying to find her phone.
“I have it with me," he said, pulling it from his pocket, and she nearly pounced on him. He grabbed her with one arm and carried her to the bed. He wrapped her tightly in a light blanket, restricting her movement.
"Stop worrying too much; go to sleep," he instructed.
"Harry!" she scolded.
"Be careful; Ethan and Mark may think we are doing the deed in here," he warned, and her struggling seized. Her face was a good shade of red at this comment of his.
"Close your eyes," he said. "If you just close your eyes for five minutes, you will fall asleep. After you sleep, I will leave," he promised. "You are sure you will leave?" she asked suspiciously.
"If I leave you here, you will overthink and won't sleep the entire night. Close your eyes," he instructed. Unable to leave his grasp, she closed her eyes. It did not take two minutes for her to fall asleep. He could tell she was tired. Seeing how easy she was to convince and how easy it was for her to trust him, he knew she definitely was not opposed to him. The thought made

him smile. He watched for a few minutes till he fell asleep, completely forgetting his promise.
Luckily, the next morning, he woke up before her and left before she could wake up. When he stepped out of the door, he met a paused Mark coming out of the kitchen. Mark raised a brow at the room he stepped out of. From what he recalled, Lydia had entered that room last night while taking a call. Did she not use it?
"Is she awake?" he probed.
"No," Harry answered, and he went to clean up under Mark's impressed gaze.
By the time Lydia woke up, Harry was not in the room, which made her sigh in relief. When she recalled their conversation the night before, she felt herself turn red. Just then, she heard a knock on the door. She immediately pretended to be asleep before the door opened. When Harry walked into the room, he had the sense that she was awake. But he still approached her bed and leaned in to place a kiss on her face.
"Wake up, baby," he said, and he saw her face slowly turn red. She knew she had been caught, so she opened her eyes and threw him a look of blame.
“Come, let us return to the hotel. You need to pack. We are returning in the afternoon," he said. She slowly got up and went to clean up. By the time she was ready, she was wearing her jeans and shirt from the previous day. She had put it in the washing machine and dryer before putting it on again, so that she would not smell on the way back. By the time she walked out
into the living room, she saw Harry seated with the other two, looking tired. Between them was a phone placed on the center table.
"It seems your aunt has decided to make sure your ex-uncle-in-law sleeps on the streets," a voice on the other end of the phone that was on speakers sounded into the living room.
"It seems he had given some benefits to some low-level staff, Lucy, something... Lucy Gruel to move some of his tax information without your aunt's knowledge. Anyway, this will be a long divorce battle." The person on the other end, seemingly a middle-aged man, continued to update. Harry noticed the moment she entered the room and kept his eyes fixed on her every move. Seeing as Harry was not responding, Ethan and Mark followed his eyes to see Lydia entering the kitchen. She took out a bottle of cold water when Harry frowned.
"It's too cold; I will buy you milk tea when we are leaving," Harry said to her when he saw her actions, and Lydia paused and weighed between the drink before and a cup of milk tea. The milk tea won, so she put it back.
"Sister-in-law," Ethan and Mark greeted.
"Good morning," Lydia answered, and a small smile peeked out of the corner of Harry's lips. He liked the fact that she just accepted the greeting without protest. She walked over to where they were seated just in time for the call to end.
"It seems you are busy; we will talk later," the person on the other end said, and Harry ended the call. He put away his phone, picked up Lydia's bag in one hand, took one of her hands in

the other, and walked out. Ethan saw his action and glanced at Mark. "They really moved fast," he commented.
"Can you guess where Harry slept last night?" Mark asked, and Ethan paused before his brain cells kept up with the conversation.
"That quickly?" he asked, and they picked up several black boxes to leave. By the time they got to the front yard, they saw Harry leaving in a taxi with Lydia.
"He really disregards his good brothers the moment he finds a wife," Ethan said in shock.
"Would you really like to sit in the same taxi? They obviously want to be alone." Mark scoffed and took out his phone to call a new taxi.
In the taxi that had just left, Lydia turned to Harry to ask the time.
"It's fine; you still have time; I will send you to the hotel first. You go ahead and pack up. I will come get you later," he said to her. "You don't need to come pick me up," she muttered, and he leaned closer even though he had
heard her.
"What did you say?" he asked, and when she saw the teasing look in his eyes, her eyes colored red, and she looked away. "What will you have with your milk tea?" he asked.
"Anything sweet," she said, and he smiled. He guessed that she had a sweet tooth. He had been observing her the whole trip; she enjoyed snacking on something sweet, no matter what. By the time they got to the hotel, the hallways were empty. They knew a lot of people had left to buy some things before they had to get on the bus. He escorted her to her room before handing her a bag full of painting supplies. Before she could turn away, he gave her a sneaky peck on the lips.
