Chapter 38
Happy reading….
“What happened to your face?” Viona shouted when Haidar had just entered his apartment.
“Don’t ask too many questions! You’d better get some medicine now and help me treat it!” added Haidar sitting himself on the sofa.
Viona immediately took what Haidar needed and immediately brought it to the living room. First aid kit and ice cubes to compress Haidar’s slightly swollen cheeks.
“Oh my God, your wound is so bad,” said Viona as if she was about to cry seeing Haidar’s battered face. But she did her best to hold it in. Viona doesn’t want her image as a tough girl to be tarnished by crying, especially in front of Haidar.
“Ah! Slow down, Viona!” Haidar groaned in pain as Viona pressed the ice cube to his face.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to,” said Viona.
The woman patiently took care of Haidar. Compressing, cleaning wounds to giving medicine to Haidar’s wounds. Everything Viona does with great care.
“Well, it’s done!” said Viona and then cleaned up all the equipment earlier. Storing it in its original place then returned to Haidar.
“What exactly happened?” Viona asked. She was really still very curious as to why Haidar could come home battered.
“I was beaten by people,” said Haidar casually.
Viona narrowed her eyes. She folded her arms over her chest as she looked at Haidar inquiringly.
“Let me guess! You were beaten by the husband of the woman you like. Isn’t that right?” guess Viona.
Haidar suddenly turned to Viona. As if to say how did this woman know? Did the woman follow him?
“Hei! Don’t tell me my guess was right?” And finally Haidar knew that Viona was just guessing. Look. Even she herself was surprised that his guess was correct.RêAd lat𝙚St chapters at Novel(D)ra/ma.Org Only
“Wow! You’re so pathetic, Haidar,” Viona sneered, shaking her head dramatically.
“If only we could manage where love will be anchored, I would choose a woman who has no relationship with other men,” said Haidar no less dramatic.
Even though he was caught red-handed, the man still acted cool there, making Viona roll her eyes lazily. What’s so hard about just admitting it? Basic Haidar.
“So the husband already knew you liked his wife and then he beat you to a pulp like this?” asked Viona to clarify the situation.
“He knew from the start. Even I myself told him a few days ago,” said Haidar.
“What? Are you crazy admitting you like his wife in front of him?!” Viona really can’t understand if Haidar can be like that. It’s true what people say if love can make people do things beyond logic.
“That’s because I know he never liked his wife. He married Hera just as a gimmick to make his family look perfect,” said Haidar without realizing Hera’s name.
“Is that why her husband has another woman?” Viona asked remembering the woman Hera met a few days ago when she was going to see her.
“How do you know?”
“Because I’ve already met Hera.”
“So the friend you mean is really Hera?”
Viona nodded slowly. “Yes. I’m really curious to see firsthand what kind of woman you like.”
“Tsk! You stalker! Want to know other people’s business,” Haidar snorted.
“Never mind. I don’t care!” replied Viona not wanting to lose.
“Then how do you know if Hera’s husband has another woman?” asked Haidar again.
“When I was going to meet Hera I saw her talking to a woman and the woman looked very annoyed at Hera,” replied Viona.
“Why?”
“I think they had a fight and the woman blamed Hera for the fight,” Viona explained.
Haidar snorted in annoyance. “Tsk! Even though she was Jayden’s mistress but instead he acted like his wife. It’s disgusting!”
“Then what are you going to do now, Haidar?” Viona asked.
“I will not give up so easily. I will get Hera no matter what,” said Haidar.
Seeing all of Jayden’s cunning made him unable to remain silent and let Hera get stuck with him. If Jayden could turn things around so easily, Haidar was sure he could do even more sadistic things.

Bouquets lined up neatly at the Xavier family’s funeral home. Dozens of people began to arrive to offer their condolences.
“Mama, never mind! Don’t be like this, poor Papa,” Jayden coaxed to the mother who continued to cry while hugging her father’s coffin. The woman looks so devastated by the loss of her husband forever.
Countless times the woman had fainted and had to be carried by several people to the rest area. And now again Jane lost consciousness. Making Jayden have to bring his mother into the room. Ordered several maids to look after him while he greeted the guests who kept on arriving.
Hera stared blankly at the figure of her father-in-law placed on top of his coffin. Unknowingly, her tears fell. Really, Hera really lost the figure of her mother-in-law. Maybe their relationship wasn’t as warm as the in-laws and daughter-in-laws out there, but all this time Elvis had always treated Hera well.
Hera looked down to hide her sobs. Until someone suddenly dropped his head on Hera’s shoulder making the woman look up again.
“Jayden?” Hera softly saw the man crying on her shoulder.
“Papa, Hera. My papa died, Hera …” Jayden said sobbing. “What should I do now? I lost my Papa,” Jayden said again and hugged Hera tightly while crying loudly.
Hera might really hate Jayden but under these circumstances, she had to put her hatred aside. Jayden must have been devastated by the loss of his father. And indirectly Hera also took part in the fair there.
If Elvis hadn’t known about his divorce lawsuit against Jayden, he wouldn’t have fallen ill and died.
Yes. It’s all Hera’s fault. It was he who made his father-in-law die.
“I’m sorry, Jayden… hiks…”
In the end Hera lost. She hugged Jayden back and cried together there taking the pain and tightness against their chests.
It was not only Hera and Jayden who were lost in sadness but also several people who saw them. Their hearts ached to see how much both Hera and Jayden had lost.
“What should I do, Hera? Papa isn’t dead right? It’s just a joke right?” said Jayden breaking the hug and holding Hera’s hand tightly with a confused face. Puffy eyes, pale lips and dark circles under the eyes. She don’t know how long he’s been crying.
“Jayden, calm down! You have to be patient for Mama’s sake,” Hera said trying to strengthen Jayden.
“Hiks … but Papa, Hera. Why did he leave us so soon? Even though Mama and I still need him,” Jayden sobbed and hugged Hera again. Even closer than before. And Hera hugged Jayden just as tightly. Forget the fact that they hate each other.
Because now they only have each other to support each other.
