Spoiled by the Silver Fox

Chapter 703

Jeff had carried her in his arms and rushed to the hospital during their brief time together as a family; and those fleeting moments were imprinted in her memory forever. Dad had mom in his eyes..

Mom had dad in her eyes.

And both of them loved her.

She could feel it. Even though they couldn't be a family, they cherished her deeply.

Every time Jeff looked at her, his eyes brimmed with guilt.

Emily was just a kid, but could understand that it was the guilt of not being able to be by her side, the guilt of not being the best dad he wanted to be.

But she didn't blame them.

Ashley Morris gazed at her with

heart full of pity; and, in the end, she said nothing, only sighed deeply in her heart and handed her over to Stephanie Bishop.

It was already good enough, wasn't it? Even without her, Emily wouldn't be neglected.

After all, Emily was fortunate to have someone in the world, other than her, willing to consider her as family.

After Ashley's departure, Stephanie took Emily by the hand and they went back to the house.

They headed to Sebastian Ingram's room and sat on the bed. Emily was there to make sure Stephanie could distinguish between the real world and the scenes.

Once out of character, Stephanie could tell the difference perfectly. But once she was in character, the lines could blur.

Emily let her get into character, which was easy for Stephanie with the techniques taught by Sullivan Henry.

As Stephanie got into her role, her whole presence changed.

Emily was immediately amazed and then, without warning, started to tickle her.

Stephanie burst into laughter and broke character.

"Emily, what are you trying to do. Getting me into character and then just tickling me to break character!"

Sebastian stood at the doorway, finding the girls' antics amusing but chose not to interrupt.

Emily didn't answer the question, simply saying, "Sis, get back into character."

Though puzzled by Emily's intentions, Stephanie still cooperated and closed her eyes, quickly getting into her role.

But before she could do anything, Emily tickled her out of character again.

After several repetitions, Stephanie was nearly driven crazy, unwilling to continue the game.

"Emily, what do you want?"

"Sis. When I was with you on set, I watched other actors perform. They get really deep into their characters, but sometimes they would break character and laugh. I think even if someone is fully getting into character, they still keep a sliver of rationality, right?"

Stephanie lay on the bed, pondering deeply before responding, "It seems like that."

"Since Sullivan can get into and out of character easily, he must keep a bit of rationality. It's impossible to live completely in the role. Even if someone does completely immerse themselves, their subconscious understands that it's just a role, not real life."

Being such a young kid, Emily's words were surprisingly insightful.

Not only did Stephanie look dumbfounded, but even Sebastian wondered how Emily's mind worked. She had inherited Ashley's acting talent, but her understanding of acting surprisingly surpassed many seasoned actors. "So, Emily. What should I do now?"

"Sis, before you get into character, remind yourself that I'm about to experience a different life, and once it's done, I'll come back. Keep the real world and the scenes separate; don't mix up the two. And you must retain a sense of rationality Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.

"Should I give it a try?"
