Chapter 16 Consequences

Chapter 16 Consequences

Emily suddenly became quiet and had no mood to enjoy it.

She sat on the sofa chair with her legs folded, pulling down her sunglasses to show two-thirds of her

eyes, “Is the best apartment still vacant here?”

The people around were all stunned. What was she going to do?

Zara was slightly surprised and asked, “Do you want to see the apartment?”

Emily was smiling, “Of course. I will go to see it for Mr. Clark. I want the study to be light-filled. It’s

better to have a baby’s room, which is big enough for two babies to live in.”

“Lady, you should not talk nonsense. You are deliberately damaging Mr. Clark’s reputation now.” Emily

had no sense of propriety. Zara was driven beyond forbearance, “If you insist on acting like this, our

company has the right to sue you.”

Emily raised her eyebrows and smiled. She asked, “Do you like Mr. Clark?”

Office romance was forbidden in the workplace. There would always be gossip.

“You…” After hearing what Emily had said, Zara’s face turned red.

“I hate hypocritical white-collar workers who pretend to be serious. You just lose a job at the worst. If I

were you, I would hook up with your boss first.”

That was exactly what Zara had done.

Emily felt so funny to play a joke on her. She continued to say, “Mr. Clark is not a man living a celibate

life. He is a showman.”

Otherwise, how could she have the opportunity to stand here and tell them these?

Sebastian looked at the woman who behaved in a noisy and boisterous manner in the monitoring room.

He felt his anger well up. Was she going to let everyone in the company know that he had a bastard?

Hope wasn’t even able to stand firmly, “Mr. Clark, do I need to…”

“Tell her to come here. One minute later, I will peel her skin.”

Emily was really smart and cunning. She knew Sebastian would keep watching on her. If the hard way

didn’t work, she would change her strategy.

Hope came down to bring Emily upstairs. Just now, everyone here scorned her, but now, no one said

anything. Published by Nôv'elD/rama.Org.

But Emily didn’t feel so glorious at all. Instead, she felt that her dignity had been trampled on.

Standing at the door, Hope kindly reminded her, “Miss Morris, I have to warn you that your behavior

today is indeed beyond the line. Mr. Clark is very angry.”

She could not see his expression when standing in front of the closed door. Therefore, she asked

curiously, “What do you mean by ‘very angry’?”

Hope said, “I’ve worked for Mr. Clark for five years, from Dier to Seaview Properties. I’ve seen almost

all of his angry looks.”

Emily did not like being provoked, nor being pitied, although she said these with good intentions. But it

did hurt her self-esteem.

“Miss Hart, I know you mean well. Forgive me for not getting used to your way of talking like this.

Please get to the point directly.”

“If you want to do anything, please also consider the consequences.”

Hope pulled open the door and she walked in.

There was a tall and elegant figure in front of the French window. He stood there with his back to the

door, so she couldn’t see his delicate face. Sebastian was wearing a tailored black suit today. His legs

wrapped in suit pants looked strong and powerful, and his hands were in his trouser pockets.

Emily took a deep breath, gathered up her long and soft hair, and put on her usual fake smile, “It’s

really hard to see Mr. Clark.”

“You will just see me in one way or another, don’t you?” He suddenly said in a low voice and glanced at

her.
