History Would Repeat Itself
Pulling away from the embrace, Amelia sniffed before clearing her throat, her eyes a little bit misty.
Alexander took in all her expression as he watched her closely.
“You didn’t have dinner right??” Amelia asked as she stared at him.
Alexander swallowed before nodding with a low “hmm” that came out from deep his throat.
Amelia nodded “what about Mrs Gale? Whatever, come downstairs let’s have dinner together!”
Alex nodded without a word and followed her downstairs, later he’ll feed her with all the recent happenings but for now, she should relax herself for she just came back to him.
He didn’t want her head to be filled with negativities.
Amelia opened the door and walked out of the room with Alexander behind her, he allowed her hold his hand and led him down the stairs.
The sitting room was quiet which made Amelia twitched her brows.
But she didn’t say anything and led him directly to the dining room, coincidentally, Chantel walked out from her room.
Chantel gasped in shock when she saw Amelia.”Ma’am??”
Amelia gazed at her before sitting close to Alexander, Alexander wasn’t looking at the maid’s direction, his gaze on Amelia.Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
He instructed the maid while still looking at Amelia “Serve dinner in three minutes!”
Chantel immediately recovered from her shock and bowed “Yes sir!” With that, she ran along to the kitchen to serve them dinner.
Amelia met Alexander’s gaze and she chuckled “I’m not going anywhere, why staring at me so intently??” She teased and Alexander smiled as he turn to face her more.
Amelia was suddenly shy under his watchful gaze that seems meaningful.
“Don’t wanna ask me how I got to your room at the first place??” Amelia asked and Alexander slowly nodded.
He was wanting to ask her this question.
“Well, I got down from the plane few hours ago and I came directly towards your house but later changed my mind and went to meet Liam first who brought me pass the securities because I had known that if I had come alone, the guys might alert you, which would intrude the surprise I was planning but it just so happened….. On getting to your room, you were wasted!”
“I’m truly sorry you had to see me in such state!” Alexander apologized.
“Hmm I observed something else…. you start smoking! Huh??” Amelia asked meaningfully and Alexander cleared his throat and scratch the back of his head.
“Ehh that…. I promise to stop!”
“Well forget about it, tell me…. what about Mrs Gale??” Amelia asked “and as well, the panther dog??”
Alexander chuckled and held her hand “don’t worry about that for now! Let’s eat!”
Chantel brought the food and placed them on the table, it consist of various dishes.
“Welcome madam!” Chantel bowed with a wide smile on her face and Amelia smiled back at her.
Chantel immediately scurried away, leaving the couples, for she was aware that they needed some time together.
She swallowed her questions as she knew she wouldn’t be getting any answers.
“Come on, let’s eat some food, gosh… I’m seriously starving!” Amelia grumbled and Alexander laughed a bit and immediately dig into the food with her.
Alexander and Amelia sat at the dining table, their plates filled with delicious food. The room was filled with a comfortable silence, a sense of fulfillment emanating from both of them.
As they enjoyed their meal, Alexander couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming happiness at having Amelia back in his arms. The past few months without her had been unbearable, and now that she was here, he didn’t want to let go of this moment. Words seemed inadequate to express the depth of his emotions, but he hoped that his actions would speak volumes.
Amelia, on the other hand, was filled with anticipation. She had returned to Alexander hoping to find solace and a deeper connection between them. She longed for him to open up and share his feelings, to let her know how he truly felt about her. However, to her frustration, Alexander remained quiet, leaving her wondering what he was thinking.
Alexander’s eyes kept drifting towards Amelia, watching her every move with a mix of affection and admiration. He observed as she neared the end of her meal, her fork scraping against the plate. An idea struck him, and without hesitation, he reached for the bowl of rice and scooped a generous portion onto her plate. He then added a succulent chicken wing, placing it gently beside the mound of rice.
As he placed the food before her, a small smile tugged at the corners of Alexander’s lips. It was a simple gesture, but it held deep meaning for him. The act of serving her food was his way of expressing his care and love for her, a non-verbal message that she meant the world to him. He hoped she would understand the unspoken words behind his actions.
Amelia looked down at the freshly added food, her heart fluttering with a mixture of confusion and curiosity. She wondered if there was a hidden message behind this seemingly ordinary act. Her mind raced with questions, trying to decipher Alexander’s intentions.
While the chicken wing and rice sat on her plate, they represented something much more significant. They were symbols of Alexander’s affection and his desire to take care of her. It was his way of saying, “I want to provide for you and make you happy.”
Amelia’s eyes met Alexander’s, and in that moment, she saw a glimmer of vulnerability. It was as if he was silently pleading for her understanding. Her heart melted as she realized that perhaps words weren’t necessary, that actions could speak louder than any declaration of love.
With a grateful smile, Amelia picked up her fork to eat.
Alexander knew he couldn’t delay any further, Knight was still out there but before the unknown takes place…
He would enjoy his time with this woman in front of him.
He loved her and he was more than sure about that fact.
He would make her happy and be with her but then again….
Can he protect her from knight??
He didn’t want history to repeat itself!
And that was his fear.
