Millie took the Snowdrop to the hall. Content is © by NôvelDrama.Org.
The robot came over and scanned it before exclaiming, “Wow, it’s the Snowdrop that the black market has been looking for!”
Millie clapped her hands and crossed her arms.
The robot asked, “M, where did you get the Snowdrop?”
Marvin smiled and replied, “From the rubbish heap waiting for destruction.”
The robot seemed stunned.
Marvin stared as a bunch of stars appeared on its screen, along with an electrocardiogram.
Had it shut down?
This was the first time he’d seen a robot shut down in his many years in M Base.
Was it okay?
The robot restarted itself. A pair of blinking doe eyes appeared on the screen as it said, “I fainted and woke up again! So the Snowdrop is with M!”
Marvin didn’t know whether to cry or laugh. They’d made a robot shut down with their antics.
Marvin asked, “Boss, how are you going to handle it?”
Millie looked at him and grinned.
Marvin narrowed his eyes. He didn’t understand. Was she going to sell it?
He immediately began hopping in circles on the spot while screaming, “We’re rich. We’re going to be
rich!”
Ten billion! This ten billion was enough for them to invent countless fun gadgets.
“I’m not selling it,” Millie said.
Marvin felt as though he’d been whacked on the head.
She wasn’t selling it? It had already been thrown into the rubbish heap. Why would they keep it?
“I have use for it.”
As she spoke, she looked at the big screen and instructed calmly, “Ban the Snowdrop in the black
market!”
In the black market, to ban something was an indication that someone had possessed that item. If they banned the Snowdrop now, everyone on the black market would probably go crazy.
Marvin took a sharp breath. Yes! If banning it was what Millie wanted, that was what he would do.
He went off to spread the news.
Within ten minutes, Yerwick sank into chaos.
“Urgent news! Someone has acquired the Snowdrop!”
“Three minutes ago, the Snowdrop worth ten billion was banned by the black market. Who has obtained it?”
Inside the hospital, Joanna stood up upon seeing the news.
Someone had taken the Snowdrop? How could it be?
“Win…” Joanna put her phone down and looked at Winson worriedly.
Winston was resting with his eyes closed. Upon hearing Joanne call him, he opened his eyes.
He saw her red–rimmed eyes. In the next second, tears began to roll down her cheeks. “It’s over.”
Winston frowned. What was over? Why was she crying out of the blue?
“Someone has bought the Snowdrop!” She passed the phone to Winston so he could see it for himself.
Winston said monotonously, “The price of this herb has been manipulated to crazy heights. It’s normal that someone would’ve bought it.”
Joanna bit her lip before exclaiming, “That won’t do!”
She had to find the Snowdrop! She had to!
Winston reminded her, “Joanna, Grandma didn’t say it had to be Snowdrop.”
“But this is the best thing currently available. If gift it to her, she won’t hate me anymore. With this,
you
wouldn’t be sandwiched between your obligation to her and your love for me, right?” Joanna
asked.
Winston felt his pupils tremble at her words. Everything Joanna did, she did for him.
He sighed and suppressed his impatience. He held Joanna’s hand and said gently, “I’ll help you find a solution.
Joanna looked up at him. Was Winston willing to help her get the Snowdrop?
Winston promised, “I’ll do my
best.”
“Alright.”
“You should go back. Eli will be coming over later he reminded her.
any you!
Joanna shook her head and said, “No, I want to accompany
