She’s Married, Sir! Novel Chapter 23

After Scarlett ran home in the rain, she took off her dress, took off the diamond necklace on her neck,

and threw it into the

box.

Tomorrow, she would return James’s things, they were too repulsive for her to keep.

She went to the bathroom, closed the box, turned on the tap in the bathtub, and then lay down.

She took the bath ball and washed her face and back vigorously, rubbing her skin until it was red.

Finally, she gazed at her reflection in the mirror

After taking off her makeup, her complexion was sickly pale and her eyes were dull and lifeless, leaving

her spiritless.

She couldn’t see any light, nor could she feel any warmth.

She was like a dirty ant that everyone could step on

However, she was also a dignified person….

“Dignity.”

Scarlett chewed over these two words and laughed ruefully; she had lost her dignity the moment she

sold it to Sebastian

She wiped her hair and lay on the bed. She was extremely tired and fell into a deep sleep again.

After being drenched in the rain, Scarlett’s condition worsened drastically, so she buried her head and

slept until the following afternoon. NôvelDrama.Org owns this text.

Susan went to the evening shift for the whole night. She slept from morning to afternoon and got up to

cook Scarlett had not woken up yet.

Knocking on Scarlett’s door and calling out twice, she received no response. Realizing something was

amiss, she had not

choice.

Susan quickly pushed open the door and walked in. When she saw the person on the bed blushing,

she quickly reached out and touched her forehead.

It was so hot…

“Scarlett, you have a high fever. Get up. I’ll take you to the hospital” She quickly lifted the quilt and

helped Scarlett up When Scarlett, who was unconscious from the fever, heard the word “hospital, she

subconsciously refused, “Not going to the hospital…”

“You are already burning like this. How can you not go to the hospital?”

Susan did not allow Scarlett to refuse. She picked her up and drove to the hospital.

After hanging up the emergency treatment, she got an infusion and also got on the respirator.

Susan knew that Scarlett had congenital heart disease.

With a cold and fever, it was easy to become oxygen–deprived.

She was worried that Scarlett would not be able to hold on, so she asked the doctor to put her on the

ventilator.

It was only in the middle of the night that Scarlett’s fever slowly subsided.

Susan heaved a sigh of relief. She picked up her phone and took two days off. She leaned against the

bed and silently watched over Scarlett.

They were all adopted into an orphanage around a year old. And they were since then closest friends.

Susan raised her hand and touched Scarlett’s pale face. She was a little distressed and sighed.

Scarlett was unlucky- the two men she met were both jerks.

For them, she exhausted her youth, but in the end, she was left with a broken heart….

Scarlett had a high fever and slept too soundly. She was in a trance as if she saw a young man

stretching out a pair of bloody hands toward her.

Pain contorted his face as he opened his mouth, as if to speak, but Scarlett was too far away to make

out his words.

“What did you say?” she asked.

The young man suddenly stopped talking and stared at her with a pair of clear eyes.

The night sky suddenly rained, washing the young man’s bloody face clean.

Only then did Scarlett see his face clearly. She rushed forward anxiously and shouted, “Liam!”

The scene suddenly changed and the young man disappeared. She saw herself kneeling at the

entrance of the nightclub

A man holding a black umbrella walked up to her and asked her from above, “Are you clean?”

She nodded with a red face and gently put her hand into his palm.

As he held her hand, she noticed that the hands gripping hers had suddenly transformed into a pair of

bloody hands.

The man in front of her also turned into a ferocious teenager. His eyes were red, and he pinched her

neck and roared at her with a heart–wrenching voice.

“Scarlett! Why did you sell yourself to him? Why did you betray me? Why did you do this”

Scarlett shook her head desperately. No, no, it was not like this….

She shouted and explained, but the teenager still pushed her away and turned away.

Scarlett chased after him and grabbed his clothes. She cried and shouted, “Liam, don’t go!”
