Chapter 8 Rae Yan, homie?
Chapter 8 Rae Yan, homie?
As soon as the phone got through, Amanda heard a female voice coming from the other end questioning her: “Mia, what’s wrong with you? You did not come back last night? Is everything okay? We have class at 6:30, remember? You are done once Madam Gorski find out!”
From what she had seen earlier in the mirror of herself, she was now a school girl; and now, the call just confirmed it once again; Amanda took in a deep breath and answered. "I don't know the way back."
"Where are you now?" Asked Rae Yan, who seemed silent for a moment.
"Tianjiao Amusement Park," Said Amanda, looking back at Lily Shen's grinning face on the big screen above the amusement park.
Rae Yan wondered: "How could you have gone so far? Forget it, you're such an idiot with completely no sense of direction all the time; I doubt you would ever crawl back even if I tell you the route now; I will send you a message and follow my instruction; if you still cannot find the way, just hail a taxi...”
Soon a message came through; Amanda knew now for sure that the body she had taken belonged to a girl named “Mia”, an art school student in C City; if she wanna live on, the body was her only hope and from now on she had to be “Mia”. But after everything of last night, with the messy clothes she was wearing, she was going to be mocked by the others.
Amanda did not go back as Rae Yan had instructed her; she fumbled through her purse; judging from the cash and small items in the purse, “Mia” was not rich.
Amanda managed to buy two cheap pieces of clothes from the street vendors and changed into them, a white T-shirt and jeans, just good enough to cover up the bruises on her body; she tied up her straight black hair, which reached to her chest. In the mirror of a public restroom, she saw a face with a clear face and dark, bright eyes.
Perhaps because she had already died once, Amanda was particularly distressed by the girl in the mirror. She vaguely remembered something about last night: she or “Mia”, which she could not distinguish well, had been taken by the president of the school to attend that special occasion with a boss of company.
If she hadn't met Aaron Gu, God knew what would happened to her...
She smiled wryly at the girl in the mirror. Should she thank God for Aaron Gu recueing her from the devil's claws and raping her while she was almost unconscious?
“Mia” might be an idiot with no sense of direction at all, but not Amanda at all. She was familiar with C City, although not so much with the suburb. She followed the instruction of the message of Rae Yan and embarked on her trip back to the school.
All kinds of people crowded in the compartment of the morning subway. Students wore earphones and bowed their heads immersing in the world of themselves, memorizing letters or reading novels. Office workers held newspapers in their hands or scrolled their mobile phones to watch the news of today. This was the living world.
To live meant countless possibilities.
Amanda pulled out her phone and searched for clues to her previous owner.
There were a few unchecked text messages from "Ali".
"Mia, where are you? Why don't you answer my phone? You have to believe me, Rae Yan and I, there was nothing between us, I love you!"
"Mia, I was wrong, I shouldn't have made you angry, it wasn't what you thought, Rae Yan was just my dancing partner, Madam assigned her to me, what else can I do? If you are not happy with that, I tell
the Madam and replace her with you?"
"Mia, pick up the phone, I'm worried about you..."
Aaron Gu seemed to be right about this Ali; he was Mia’s boyfriend but unluckily, a cheating boyfriend.
In the phone album, the first of it was a selfie of him and her. Mia smiled coyly and snuggled up against a tall boy, who was beaming brightly at the camera...
It must be Ali.
The next pictures were the gate of the school, dancing room, dormitory building and even the inside of her room, the bed...
Aaron Gu was impressive that he even knew that she was a dancer simply by sleeping with her for one night. Mia clearly loved taking selfies; there were also a lot of selfies in her album and she even used her selfie as the mobile phone wall paper. But it was the good habit of Mia that saved Amanda a lot of trouble in speculation.
She also glanced a photo that was taken in the People's Hospital of C City. It was taken way earlier than others; in the photo was a patient, hard to tell the gender by the back, wearing the hospital gown with the head almost bald.
Amanda made it back to “her” school until 9 am. NôvelDrama.Org copyrighted © content.
She stood there still examining the large name of the school"C City Art High School". Although she knew what the dancing room and dormitory building looked like, she did not know the way. Rushing into the school would surely make people suspect.
She was about to try her luck by asking the passengers about one of the two names she knew of, Rae Yan, when suddenly from behind someone hugged her.
"Mia!”Shouted the one.
The odor of the sunshine boy mixed with slight smell of sweat made Amanda feel a bit lost. That man was once a boy as well, and was as energetic and innocent as him; but now, perfume could hardly covered that disgusting corrupting aura of him.
The boy held her for a moment; noticing that she was silent, he let loose of her, took her face in his hands, and kissed it earnestly.
Amanda did not even see his face; she was taken aback and avoid his kiss out of instinct.
He seemed to be a bit disappointed, "Mia, why? Are you still mad at me? There was nothing going on between me and Rae Yan; you have to trust me; I...”
“Mia!” Before the boy could finish, a harsh voice rang from behind.
Amanda recognized it immediately. It was Rae Yan; they had spoke on the phone. Ali’s hands trembled slightly and turned to look at Rae Yan nervously.
Amanda examined Rae Yan as she got closer; she was a good-looking girl, wearing a loose, half-hip- hop dress with her flat belly and seductive navel proudly exposed; young as she was, the light makeup made her extreme maturely charming.
She walked over to Amanda, rolled her eyes at Ali before looking back at her with a complex look: "Mia, I just heard from Madam Gorski that you are expelled."
