Chapter 1301
"Mr. Odie, what's with the big secret calling me over here?" Sophie asked as soon as she walked in, catching Odie mid-hesitation. "I..."
Outside, Jenna and Adler had just shoved Jonah aside and were now hiding behind Colby. Jonah had thought about stopping them, but one look from Colby made him take a step back. Better to avoid trouble than confront it, right? Inside, Odie glanced at the slightly open door, his brow furrowing. "Hang on a second."
"Huh?" Sophie hadn't quite caught on to what Odie was implying when suddenly, he strode over and swung the door wide open. There stood the three culprits, caught red-handed.
Sophie eyed them with a look that plainly said, "What on earth are you doing?" Jenna cleared her throat awkwardly and shot Adler a look, who in turn quickly tried to pin the blame on Colby. Colby just looked at Sophie with wide, innocent eyes. Sophie gave a small, knowing smile and stepped forward, shutting the door firmly with a loud 'bang'. Before Adler and Jenna could even react, they heard the unmistakable click of the door being locked.
Adler was now beside himself, turning to Colby in disbelief. "Did you see that? She locked us out!"
Colby's face darkened at the situation. Adler seemed ready to continue complaining, but Jenna gave him a light smack on the head. "Enough already! Let's just go back," she urged, dragging Adler away to their rooms. Inside, Sophie turned to Odie, "Looks like we won't be bothered anymore."
Odie stared at her, his gaze making Sophie a tad uneasy. "So, do you have something you want to tell me?"
Sophie eyed him curiously, making Odie shift a bit uncomfortably. He cleared his throat. "Logan has a thing for you, did you know that?"
Sophie immediately thought of the gossip spread by Angelo and Odie. She didn't shy away from it and simply nodded. "Yeah, I'm aware." Odie was taken aback by her straightforwardness. "You are?"
Sophie frowned slightly. "Is that supposed to be shocking?"
"You know Logan's into you, and you know he's got his issues, yet you keep him around?"
Sophie nodded again, nonchalantly. "And?"
Odie was momentarily speechless. After a pause, he managed, "You're... married, aren't you?"
"Yep." Sophie nodded again. "Is there a problem?"
Odie felt like his mind was about to short-circuit. Seeing him struggle for words, Sophie asked, "You didn't call me here just to ask about this, did you?"
Odie couldn't find the words. Sophie continued, "Seriously, was that all?"
Reading Odie's expression, Sophie knew she had hit the mark. "Odiezas you can see, we're all pretty busy. If it's just to ask me something trivial like this, there's no need to make a big deal out of it." Content rights belong to NôvelDrama.Org.
With that, Sophie turned to leave. Odie, feeling a surge of irritation at her words, reached out to stop her. But just as he was about to speak, the door swung open again.
