Chapter 126: The Battle of the Void–1
We march for what feels like hours through the desolate expanse of the Nowhere realm, led by Luka and the wolf pock scouts. The landscape is an endless stretch of gery nothingness, a barren wasteland devoid of life or color. The only sound is the soft padding of our footsteps on the ashen ground and the occasional distant houl of the wolves. The sky is a featureless expanse of dull grey, a perpetual twilight that casts an eerie glow over everything.
I walk beside Aleksands, his presence a steadying force in the midst of this desolation. The tension is palpable, a heavy weight pressing down on all of us. The silence in oppressive, each step forward feeling like a step deeper into the unknown.
Suddenly, Luka raises his hand, signaling for us to stop. We all come to a halt, our breaths held in anticipation. He points ahead, and I squint into the distance, Irving to make out what he seek.
There, on the horizon, a distant castle comes into view. It’s just like the castle in my dream, ephemeral, as if made of smoke. Its towers and battlements seem to waver and shift, as if they might dissolve into the air at any moment. Surrounding the castle are strange, blurry wisps of smoke. At first, it looks like mist or smog. but as we get closer, I realize with a jolt of horror that it’s a massive army of Void Wraiths.
The Void Wraiths are shadowry brings, their forms barely discernible against the grey backdrop of the Nowhere realm. They have glowing white eyes, large and round, the only feature that stands out in their otherwise amorphous bodies. There are so many of them, their numbers stretching out endlessly. It’s hard to count how many there are, but they number at least a thousand.
A shiver runs down my spine as I take in the sight. We are pitifully outnumbered. Our combined army of three hundred vampires and werewolves seems like a small, fragile force in comparison. But we have no choice but to light. There is no tuming back now,
The wolves, their battle instincts heightened, want to charge ahead and take the front line. But Anya steps forward, her voice commanding and unyielding. “No,” she says firmly. “We cannot afford to be reckless. We need a strategy.”
Konstantin steps up beside her, his expression grave and focused. As Anya’s general and an experienced military strategist, he knows what needs to be done. “We don’t know what the weakness of the Void Wraiths is, or if they even have one,” he begins, his voice steady and authoritative. “But we do know our own strengths. We need to use them to our advantare.“
He gathers the leaders of each army, and we all huddle together to hear his plan. Konstantin’s mind works quickly, devising a strategy that draws on the unique strength of each reali’s warriors.
“We’ll form a defensive perimeter around our most vulnerable forces, Konstantin begins, his tone confident. “The Celestial warriors, with their divine light, will form the core of our defense. Their presence will hopefully weaken the Void Wraiths, or at least hold them at bay. The Watery warriors, with their fluid movement and agility, will form the second line, using their tridents and spears to strike at any Wraiths that get past the Celestials.”
Arden Caella, the leader of the Celestial realm, nods in agreement, his ethereal for shimmering with resolve. Mara Odella of the Watery realm stands tall, her icy gaze unwavering
“The Earth warriors, with their strength and resilience, will anchor our flanks,” Konstantin continues. They will hold the line, preventing the Wraiths from encircling us. The Twilight archers, with their unmatched accuracy, will take positions on higher ground, raining arrows down on the enemy.”
Kieran and Yuri Ajisai exchange determined glances, ready to lead their warriors into position.
“The Night warriors, with their stealth and speed, will form our vanguard, Konstantin explains. “They will move swiftly, striking from the shadows and retreating before the Wraiths can respond. And the Flery warriors, with their raw power and destructive force, will be our shock troops. They will charge in and create openings for our other forces to exploit.”
Dmitri Fontaine nods, his fiery presence radiating intensity.
“Finally,” Konstantin says, turning to Luka, “the wolves will act as our scouts and skirmishers. Their keen senses and agility will be crucial in navigating the battlefield and disrupting the enemy’s movements. Luka, under any other circumstances you would lead them, but you will have to delegate to your second in command, Beta Kosta. You are needed for something che,”
Luka raises an eyebrow quizzically, his expression puzzled. “And why is that?” He asks
“Because – Luka, Arianna Aleksandr, Pyra, Bloodbane–you live are at the heart of my strategy,” Konstantin says, turning to me and placing a hand on my s “You must more as one, using the distraction of the fighting to sneak into the castle and free Verde. Luka will guide you, using the keen senses of an Alpha wolf to my shoulder. Trace the path to Verde. The entire mission hangs on you.”
“We won’t let you down, taka says resolutely
“Remember,” Konstantin concludes, his voice firm, we are outnumbered, but we are not outmatched. We have the strength of six realms united. We fight not just for ourselves, but for the future of all our worlds. We cannot fail

With the plan in place, we move into position. The tension in the air is almost unbearable, a palpable weight pressing down on all of us. I take my place beside Aleksandr, Pyra, Bloodbore and Luka, my heart pounding with a mixture of fear and determination.
As we prepare for the battle ahead, I can’t help but think about the enormity of what we’re facing. The Vold Wraiths are a terrifying enemy, but we have no choice but to fight. We have to save Verde, and we have to stop Tatiana and her twisted plans. Although we’ve been instructed to cut through the battle and get to Verde an soon as we can, there will be fighting along the way, I’m sure of it.
The leaders of each realm give their final orders, and our forces move into formation. The Celestial warriors form a shining core, their spears and shields gleaming with an otherworldly light. The Watery warriors take their place behind them, their tridents and spears ready. The Earth warriors anchor our flanks, their presence a solid and reassuring barer. The Twilight archers take positions on the higher ground, their bus drawn and ready. The Night warriors move into the vanguard, their black armor blending into the shadows. The Fiery warriors stand ready, their golden armor glowing with an inner heat.
The wolves spread out, their keen eyes scanning the battlefield, ready to strike at a moment’s notice. Beta Bosta stands in for Luka at the forefront, his bright brown eyes blazing with determination.
As the old Wraiths begin to move towards us, their glowing white eyes fi will fight with everything we have,
fixed on our forces, a sense of calm washes over me. We are ready. We are united. And we
“Prepare for battle!” Konstantin’s voice ring out, strong and unwavering.
The Void Wraiths surge forward, a tide of darkness and shadows, The Celestial warriors meet them head on, their divine light clashing with the Void Wraiths‘ dark energy. The Watery warriors move with thuid grare, striking with their tridents and spears. The Earth warriors hold the line, their strength and resilience unyielding. The Twilight archers rain arrows down on the enemy, their accuracy deadly. The Night warriors strike from the shadows, swift and lethal. The Fiery warriors charge in, their raw power creating openings for our other forces to exploit.
The wolves move with agility and precision, drupting the Void Wraiths‘ movements and keeping them off balance. Luka leads them with unwavering resolve, his presence a guiding force on the battlefield
The battle serce and chaotic, a whirlwind of light and shadow, of hope and despair. But through it all, we fight with everything we have, united in our determination to save our realms and stop the darkness from consuming everything.
Our small group of five fights as we progress through the battlefield, the most direct way to the castle. In just a few minutes, which feel more like hours, we are before the shadowy doors of the looming grey castle. The battle rages behind m
A sudden irream pierces the chaos, and I turn just in time to see a figure emerging from the shadows. It’s Tatiana, her eyes blazing with fury and madness, She moves with inhuman speed, her blood–red dress and silver armour billowing mound her like flames.
Before I can react, she’s upon me, her hand raised to strike, holding a cruelly sharp scimitar. I barely have time to raise my swood before she’s on top of me, her strength overwhelming. I struggle to fend her off, but she’s too strong, too fast.
“Arianna!” Aleksandr’s voice rings out, but he’s too far away, engaged in his own battle. Luka and Pyra and Bloodhane are fighting off Void Wraiths pressing in from all sides, and i feel like all hope is lost.
Tatiana’s hand closes around my throat, her grip like iron. “You should have stayed out of this, she hisses, her breath hot against my skin. “But now you’ll die here. in this forsaken place.”
Panic surges through me as I gasp for breath, my vision darkening. I try to summon my strength, but it feels like I’m drowning in darkness. I try to summon my blood wielding power, trying to stab Tatiana with a spike of my own blood, but I’m too weak and disoriented
Just as I think all hope is lost, a blur of motion catches my eye. Aleksandr appears out of nowhere, his eyes blazing with fury. With a swift, brutal motion, he lunges at Tatiana, probably hoping to snap her neck.
She releases me, jumping back before he can catch her.
I gasp for breath, the grip on my throat released. Aleksandr pulls me into his arms, his touch grounding me. “Are you alright?” he asks, his voice filled with concern.
I nod weakly, my heart still icing. Tim fine,‘ I manage to say, my voice trembling “But so is Tatiana, unfortunately,”
The spot where she stood moments ago is now vocant, as she’s been swallowed by the crowd, disguised by the raging battle,
“Let’s go.” Luka says.
