Obsessive CEO’s Sinful Wife

Chapter 30

Chapter 30

Jenny also frowned. She turned to Zeke. After all, the advertisement was placed by the Shaw family.

Zeke said, “I’ll go find out what the situation is…”

Before he could even finish speaking, his phone rang. Zeke picked up the call and his expression instantly turned ugly. “What? Taken down? All of them? That’s a breach of contract!”

“They said they’ll take down the advertisement even if they have to pay the full penalty,” the manager in charge of this matter said anxiously on the phone. “We immediately contacted other companies but none of them are willing to do this advertisement.”

In other words, besides the companies owned by the Halls and the Shaws, no other building would provide a surface for the advertisement.

“Who the hell is trying to mess with the Shaws?” Zeke asked angrily.

“It’s the Valors,” the manager replied. “This matter was personally overseen by Connor Gunn, the Shaw Group’s secretary.”

Zeke was shocked. Connor Gunn… That’s Jackson Valor’s personal secretary! Could this be Jackson Valor’s order? Did Jackson Valor want to take down the advertisement?

‘What’s the meaning of this? Does Jackson Valor disapprove of the marriage between the Shaws and the Halls?‘ Thinking of that, Zeke broke out in cold sweat. Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.

All 99 of the Shaw family’s 3D projection ads throughout the city were taken down overnight, causing a lot of gossip in the city. Many people on the internet were speculating whether there were changes to Zeke and Jenny’s wedding.

That evening, Zeke and Jenny made a joint statement, saying that their love for each other was as strong as ever. The 3D projection ads were only taken down because their duration had expired, but the love between the two would never expire.

These words were once again celebrated by Jenny’s fans.

Serenity Lewis was browsing the web in her rental house when she came upon the news. She was shocked. The 3D projection ads she mentioned to Jack yesterday had all been taken down!

“Are you happy that all the ads have been removed?” she suddenly heard Jackson ask.

She snapped back to her senses. He had walked in at some point. He seemed to have seen the news she was reading and was looking at her with a smile.

For just a fleeting moment, she thought that this matter might be related to him and that he was the one who had taken down those advertisements.

She then smiled wryly. That’s impossible. Even though he said he would do that, it was just a joke. This was just a coincidence.

“There’s nothing to be happy about. Zeke and I are already a thing of the past. I have no more feelings for him, so whoever he wants to marry or love has nothing to do with me anymore,” said Serenity.

“You don’t care about him at all now?” His gaze burned into her, as if those beautiful eyes wanted to see through her.

“Would you care about someone who abandoned you?” she asked rhetorically.

Suddenly, a certain woman came to his mind. It was the woman he should have called his mother. Didn’t she also abandon him?

She abandoned him so completely that she never looked back, even when he begged her on his knees.

From then on, he swore that he would never kneel down to anyone again, nor beg anyone to stay.

His smile widened. “Yeah, that was a silly question. Why should you care about someone who abandoned you?”

She stared at him in a daze. He was right in front of her, yet she felt like she couldn’t see him very clearly, as if his face was covered with a thin veil.

It was as if his smile hid a forbidden place that no one could touch.

She recalled what he told her that he had no family.

Then… was he abandoned by someone too? When she thought of that, she wrapped her hands around his neck and pulled him closer.
