Chapter103 I Fall For Someone Else
I Fall For Someone Else
The banquet was held majestically. The Louise family booked the entire Mountain Hotel, and had
arranged rooms for every guest to rest in.
Richard drank quite a lot and was helped to the room by a waiter. Adriana stayed in the hall as she
needed to inform the Louise family that they'er leaving.
Richard usually had a better alcohol tolerance, but for some reason, even though he didn't drink too
much today, he felt that his steps were a little weak and his vision a little blurry.
After lying on the hotel bed with his eyes closed for a while, he took out his phone from his pocket and
dialled a number, "Ten minutes later, pick me up at the entrance of the hotel..."
"Sure." Ted said on phone.
After hanging up, Richard's eyes were still closed. However, the scene of Pearl being surrounded by
the Louise family members was still lingering in front of him.
He'd made countless speculations, but he never expected she to be married.
Perhaps it was due to the effect of alcohol, but Richard's usual calm and rational nature had completely
vanished. He now felt it impossible to suppress the wild emotions spreading inside his heart as if they
were poisoned vines crawling into his heart.
His body heated up for no reason, and his gradually fell into a dream woven by memories.
"Richard, let's break up. I don't want to see you anymore."
In that summer seven years ago, under the shades of the camphor tree in Jaquel East Street i, Pearl
had said these words to him coldly.
Before this, they had been in a cold war for more than a month. This was the longest time they had
ever been in a cold war since they got together. However, at that time he'd just started working and was
quite busy after graduating, so he didn't notice that there was something wrong with her.
At that time, he thought she was just trying to make a little fuss as usual. It was not until a month later
that he finally realised Pearl hadn't looked for him for so long.
A man who had been in a relationship for a long time would know the bottom line of his girlfriend.
Back then, Richard was no exception. When he realised that something wasn't right, he ] called Pearl
right away and rushed over to her house.
But all he heard was: "Sorry, the number you had dialled has not been answered for the time being.
Please call later."
He had heard it quite a few times in the past month. But because he was busy with work, he didn't pay
much attention to it. Now he finally realised that something was wrong.
He waited for three days at the her apartment and called Pearl countless times. Finally, after three
days, Pearl showed up and said, "Let's break up."
What she said was comprehensive and concise. She was so indifferent and mechanical.
Although dreams were a reflection of the reality, it was more about people's subjective speculations.
In Richard's dream, Pearl's face was always full of pride and loneliness. This was the Richard's
impression of her in the past seven years. Every time he had a dream of the past, the pain would be
deepened.
Back then, in the face of the sudden breakup, Richard, at the age of 22, didn't realise the severity of the
matter. They were both hot-tempered people and usually quarrelled. The words "break up" used to be a
common thing.
"Stop making a fuss, Pearl. I'll take you to a trip after I'm free. I was too busy at work."
"I'm not joking. It's my problem."
Pearl stared at him and said, "I have fallen for someone else."
Her words caused Richard explode. "It's impossible!"
"Nothing is impossible. We're not married. I have someone else that I like."."
Her speech seemed to have been practiced several times.
It happened at the end of July, the hottest time in Kityall City.
In order to ambush Pearl, Richard had been sweating profusely after standing in the sun for hours,
almost suffering from heatstroke. However, at that moment, it was as if someone had poured a basin of
cold water on his head.
"What do you mean by you've fallen for someone else? When the f*ck did this happen?"
Pearl frowned, as if she was disdainful of this issue and had no intention of answering it. Then she
said, "I don't want to talk about it. It's my own business."

"Nothing," Pearl's face turned pale. "I just fall for someone else."
The rays of sunlight shone through the gaps between the camphor trees above her head.
Not far behind Pearl was the Yonng's villa gate. A grey car slowly showed up.
It was Anthony's car.
"My dad is back. I'll leave now." Pearl said.
"Stop this nonsense." He tried to pulled her into his arms, but she took a step back, obviously nervous.
Pearl looked back at her father's car and said with a frown, "I'll study abroad next month. Let's stop
contacting with each other."
Pearl's indifferent expression and cold words put an end to their five-year-long relationship.
Richard clenched his fists tightly, "Pearl, there's a limit to your petty behaviour. What I hate the most is
for you to mention breaking up."
He just wanted to solve the problem with her, not by threatening him with a breakup. Most importantly,
he didn't want to believe that she had fallen for someone else.
"It's true this time." Pearl's eyes were extremely calm.
...
Suddenly, the scene in front of him became distorted. It was a beautiful morning.
The sunshine came in through the gaps of the curtain and shone on the man's eyelids. As soon as he
opened his eyes, he felt a sudden throb in his temple.
The hotel room was filled with the strong scent of alcohol, and clothes and a leather belt was scattered
on the floor.
Richard tried to recall what had happened the night before, only to find that his memories had gone
blank.
He then picked up his phone, which showed that he had called Pearl countless times last night. She
picked up the last one.
A cup of warm water was placed on the bedside table.
