The Dragon King out of Jail
Chapter 20 The Mr. Lucas Family
Tristan heard her soft voices coming from the phone.
“Sure, I’m happy to act as the escort.”
“Tristan, I’m afraid that you are too excited that I cannot fall asleep with you by my side. I miss you. I’ll
call you when I wake up.”
After saying that, the phone hung up.
Tristan put the phone into his pocket. For woman like Ms. Helen, Tristan would not believe in her. He
said he would go to see her without hesitation because he wanted to show his weak points to her. In
the large flat, Ms. Helen tossed her mobile phone aside and stood in front of the mirror, carefully
admiring her fair and dewy skin. A confident smile appeared on her charming face, “Not
surprisingly, every men on the world are same.”
Tristan looked at the watch. It was still early.
The senior management meeting at the Spark Company was scheduled at 4 pm.
Tristan gave a call to his parents, who had lost their jobs in the past few years because of him. For
parents in their age, they will be uneasy if they had no stable income..
Tristan asked Walten to offer two cushy jobs, hoping; his parents would be easy in their minds with job
to do.
Tristan dialed his father’s number, but there was no answer. And then he dialed his mother’s
number, but there was still no answer.
Tristan looked at his watch. It was only after nine o’clock. He bought some buns and went to his.
parents’ place. But when he entered the house, he found that neither of them was at home.
Tristan called again, but there was still no answer.
Tristan’s brow furrowed and called Walten.
Tristan worried that Ruby would find trouble with his parents again, so he asked Walten to arrange
someone to look after them secretly.
A few minutes later, Tristan got a reply that his parents were at Tekla Hospital, visiting a patient.
Tristan felt funny. Why didn’t his parents answer the phone if they just visit a patient?
Tristan immediately called a taxi and went straight to the Tekla Hospital.
The orthopaedic department of the Tekla Hospital.
Duke and Susan were standing in front of a ward with fruit in their hands..
In the ward, A woman in her early twenties sat in a wheelchair, reading a book carefully about law in
her hand. She had long hair, elegant and quiet.
In front of the door of the ward, a middle-aged man was blocking the doorway, not allowing Duke
and Susan to enter.
Duke spoke to the man in front of the door, “Mr. Lucas, what are you doing. Let us go in to see the
child.”
The man called Mr. Lucas stood still at the door of the ward and said, “There is no need for you to do
so. You have paid for what you should have paid over the past few years, and there is no need to keep
connection with our family.”
Susan hurriedly said, “Mr. Lucas, we care about Yuri and want to help her.”
Mr. Lucas snorted coldly, “If you really want to help her, then be honest! We all know that the accident
had nothing to do with you! We just want the real culprits to be brought to justice. You can help us as
long as you disclose the evidence and we take them to court!”
Duke sighed, “Mr. Lucas, let’s forget about it. We have taken the blame for this. As you know, those two
people have sound background, and we can’t fight against them!”
Mr. Lucas hammered on the door frame, “So what if they have sound background? Is there no justice in
this world? It is because of your cowardice, they dare to harass us again and again! You worry about
your own son and do not let him to be involved in! What about my daughter? She will spend the rest of
her life in a wheelchair!”:
Before Duke was about to say something, Susan hurriedly stopped him and said, “Mr. Lucas, my son
has just released from prison. You know, he has crime records. It’s not easy for him to do anything.
Please give us a break first. When we settle down, we’ll go back for justice, okay?”
“No!” Mr. Lucas said categorically, “Your son is out of jail, isn’t he? Now that he’s out of jail, it’s a good
chance for me to know him. I want to know if he has guts to tell the truth, just like he had guts to make
a false confession in the past!’
In the corridor of the hospital came a rush of footsteps. You can tell from the footsteps that there would
be quite a lot of people.
“Oops! You are all there? Good, you saves me time for looking for you one by one!”
Ruby was wearing a black trench coat and Cody stood beside her, followed by more than a dozen of
thugs, striding towards their side.
Duke, Susan and Mr. Luc a s’s faces changed violently.
Duke shouted, “You are at hospital! What do you want to do?”
“What to do?” Cody sneered, “You old f**ks still want to reverse the verdict, don’t you? Anyone who
tries to do so will have their legs broken, just like that girl there!”
Cody said, and waved his arm. The thugs behind him did not care about the place they were at now
and walked towards them.
Ruby and Cody stood aside and smiled.
Cody sneered, “So what if Tristan has the support of Walten? We beat you till you are afraid of us.
Even if Tristan wants to reverse the verdict, he can’t do it! What’s more, Peter returned today. He has
the ability to bring down Quercia. Once Quercia falls from power, Tristan will be directly back to his
original status, still be a loser!”
Ruby ordered, “Hit them! Hit heavily! You will get reward for breaking their legs!”
Encouraged by Ruby, the thugs became more and more excited. Some of them at the front were Text © 2024 NôvelDrama.Org.
already running.
Mr. Lucas hurriedly gave way to the entrance of the ward, allowing Duke and Susan to hide in the ward,
and then locked the door of the ward tightly.
Even if the door was locked, how long could this simple ward door hold on?
The ward door shook fast as the thugs outside kicked and banged on it. The girl in the wheel chair did
not raised her head, still reading a law book. Obviously she used to this kind of thing.
As long as they want to reverse the verdict, they would be harassed from time to time.
The simple ward door was shaking fast and fast. The latch, which had been obsolete for many years,
was going to fall off at any moment.
Once the door was broken down, there would be nothercy from the vicious thugs outside!
Tristan had just arrived at the inpatient unit when he heard noises in the corridor.
An old lady, Jeaning on her crutches, sighed, “Ah, these rich people don’t take other people’s lives.
seriously! That girl’s leg was broken. How pitiful she was. They still come to cause trouble and hit them
as they like!”
When Tristan heard this, he had a freakish feeling. He couldn’t wait for the lift but rushed up the

stairs directly.
As soon as he got upstairs, Tristan saw that the corridor of the inpatient department, which was narrow,
was packed with people. Ruby and Cody were leaning against the window leisurely.
The door of the ward not far away had been smashed to pieces, and two black-clad bodyguards were
blocking the doorway to prevent the thugs from entering.
The hospital’s security team had just arrived and started to disperse the thugs.
Ruby and Cody stayed there as if nothing had happened, leaving the thugs to be dispersed. They didn’t
care at all. These thugs were easy to be hired and would stayed 48 hours at the police station. Ruby
and Cody would not get involved.
After the thugs were dispersed, Ruby sneered, “You are lucky today! I don’t know if you’ll be so lucky
tomorrow! You want to play against us, then I have a million ways to play with you!””
