“She’s Mr. Bradley’s wife, whom he personally sent into prison for five years?”
“Mr. Thomas was so nice to her, yet she removed his oxygen mask back then. What a venomous woman she is…”
“I wonder if Mr. Thomas regretted giving 1/3 of his shares to her in his last moment!?”
“What do you expect from a homewrecker’s daughter? The Warners helped her, and she bit the hand that fed her. I really don’t know how she has the cheek to attend Mr. Thomas’ funeral!”
It was cold in spring, but Esther Quill, who had just come out of prison, appeared at the funeral of Thomas Warner, the Warners' patriarch, in just a sleeveless dress.

Before Esther could go to Thomas’ coffin, Bradley Warner’s flawless face appeared before her.
“Bradley,” she could not help but murmur.
“Esther Quill, who allowed you out of prison?
“Who allowed you here!?”
Fury colored Bradley’s face.
Esther shook in fear and turned pale.
“I… I… want to send off Grandpa Thomas personally.”
Bradley smirked cruelly and scoffed. “You think you’re in a position to do it?”
Esther took a deep breath and fell to her knees in front of all the mourners to beg Bradley. “Please, let me send Grandpa Thomas one last time.”
Bradley was brimming with iciness as he gnashed his teeth. His beautiful eyes were now glaring murderously.
Before everyone could react to it, he grabbed Esther by her hair and dragged her out of the funeral without a care for her struggle and the mourners’ whispers.
This was his grandfather’s funeral. He forbade this heinous woman from tainting his grandfather’s way to the light.
The icy floor was piercingly cold.
Esther’s delicate skin was immediately rubbed red by the uneven surface.
Bradley opened the car door and violently threw her to the back of the limited-edition Rolls-Royce Phantom. Like a bloodthirsty wolf, he pounced at her with burning killing intent.
“Esther Quill…”
He choked her neck with one hand and tore her dress off with the other.
“Bradley Warner, this is Grandpa Thomas’ funeral. What are you doing?”
Esther had never seen Bradley like this. She was both afraid and anxious as she struggled to get up.
Bradley suddenly swooped down and bit her shoulder blade upon seeing how much she struggled. The coppery scent of blood filled his mouth, and he felt nauseated.
He let a cold sneer, his eyes impassive and mocking.
“Esther Quill, you wanted a child with me, right? I’ll give it to you!”
