Chapter 35 Don't be Unreasonable
Chapter 35 Don't be Unreasonable
Sheila and Brody had been together for a long time, and the two were engaged to be married. Sheila
had never hidden their relationship, and would even show affection publicly. After all, it was rare to find
a rich and handsome second generation like Brody, who was also her childhood friend, so not only did
she not lose her fans, but she even gained more.
Brody had always been a tool she took out to show off, so she was still happy that Brody visited the
set, just so she could humiliate the director who only knew to scold her.
After Brody explained, she felt better and took Brody's arm with a smile on her face.
Their car stopped at the entrance of the set and when they both came down, the drinks ordered by
Brody were also delivered. Sheila happily walked up to the director Mel and said, "Director, my fiancé
came to visit the set today and invited everyone to have coffee." The smile at the corner of her mouth
could not be restrained.
Mel responded carelessly, "Okay."
Ethan had just arrived on set and hurried over after seeing Brody, "Mr. Gallagher, what brings you here
today?"
"I came to see Sheila. You guys go to work. Don't bother with me." Brody said courteously.
The crowd exchanged pleasantries while Eva also arrived.
It was a coincidence that Caleb came over with her today. Because William was again making a fuss
about coming to the set to accompany Eva, Caleb sent the two of them over together. This content provided by N(o)velDrama].[Org.
Eva saw Brody in the middle of the crowd from afar and paused in her steps.
"What?" Caleb asked with a sideways glance at her.
"Nothing." Eva came back to her sense and replied.
Brody was the center of attention wherever he was. He was handsome and had inherited the family
business, and his family was well-known in Hartvenport. What was more, he was polite to everyone, so
everyone would be deluded by his face.
Eva walked in with William in her arms, greeting Mel and Ethan and the others, ignoring Sheila and
Brody alone.
It was Brody himself who took the initiative to talk to her, "Eva, it's been a long time."
"Mr. Gallagher? It's been a long time." Eva sneered.
"And this is?" Brody looked at Eva with questioning eyes.
Eva snorted, "Mr. Gallagher, you are really curious. Sheila will be unhappy."
"What are you talking about? Brody just asked out of politeness, why are you getting more and more
impolite?" Sheila said generously, but in her heart she had already torn Eva into pieces, thinking Eva
came to seduce her Brody as soon as she appeared and was dressed in such a revealing outfit.
Eva smiled, "Don't worry, I'm fine."
The three stood together, each with a smile on their faces, but they gave the onlookers a cold feeling
that there was an odd atmosphere between them.
"Eva, you dropped your phone in the car." Caleb walked over with Eva's mobile phone and said
carelessly.
He just stood casually in the doorway with his back to the light, silhouetted in such a way that he looked
handsome.
"You are?" Because Caleb had his back to the light, Brody was not able to see his face clearly.
"Thanks." Eva thanked him, while patting William's head, "Say goodbye to Daddy."
William waved, and without much more than a moment's lingering, Caleb nodded to Mel and turned to
leave in style.
It was Brody who was not calm, although he had been indifferent to Eva for so many years, he still
thought that Eva was still in love with him, otherwise she would not have often caused troubles to
Sheila, because of jealousy. But who was this man? How could Eva stop loving him?
But the interaction between the three just now was too much like a family of three. If he didn't know
clearly that Eva's child died back then, he would have thought that the child was Eva's, and the tall man
was Eva's husband.
"Excuse me, Mr. Gallagher, I'm going to put on my make-up." Eva walked past Brody and Sheila
without looking away, and Brody's eyes followed her all the way to the door of the dressing room.
Sheila's face had long since turned livid.
Once Sheila and Brody returned to the lounge, Sheila kicked everyone out and aggressively
questioned Brody.
"Just now you were fondly looking at Eva, why didn't you chase after her? Do you realize that she is the
one you love after five years?"
"Sheila, don't be unreasonable, okay?" Brody had a headache, Sheila in such a state was the most
difficult to deal with.
Sheila was instantly aggrieved and said with a sob, "You think I'm being unreasonable now? Brody, are
you fed up with me?"
"No, Sheila, don't be sad, okay? It is my fault." Brody looked at her with starlight in her bright eyes and
instantly felt heartbroken.
Sheila turned away from Brody.
"Babe, don't be angry, okay?" Brody softly comforted Sheila.
"Hmph." Sheila still grunted in exasperation.
"Okay, I give you my word that I will never look at her again, not even once, okay?" Brody held up his
hand and swore.
Sheila's eyes were still red and she didn't resist even when she was held in Brody's arms, her voice
hoarse as she said, "Brody, you don't know how scared I am of losing you, I can't sleep every day
because I can't bear the consequences of losing you."
"Don't think nonsense, how could I abandon you?" Brody whispered to coax Sheila.
Sheila smiled with satisfaction in Brody's embrace.
She had sensed Brody's inner turmoil from the first moment he saw Eva. To be honest, the current Eva
was even more attractive to men than five years ago, even if she did nothing but stand there quietly,
she was seducing men.
And it was by means of tricks that she had seduced Brody away back then. Brody had cheated her
before, but she had just pretended that she was unaware of that, but that moment just now had given
her too much of a sense of threat, which was why she had pretended to be angry and unreasonable
before showing weakness.
It was with this tactic that she had gripped Brody firmly in her hands. Even though he might have
woman when he went out to socialize, he would never cross the line but return to her.
That was enough for Sheila.
Brody's appearance was not enough to affect Eva's mood at all. She played with William during make-
up and treated Brody like air the whole time she was out shooting.
Five years ago, Brody was her life, but now, Brody was a complete stranger to her, if it had to have
relationship regarded, he was no more than the boyfriend of her enemy. He had killed that innocent,
silly girl with his own hands.
