Chapter 30 Caleb's Parents Came for a Visit
Chapter 30 Caleb's Parents Came for a Visit
Caleb didn't listen carefully to Irene's words and he responded very casually, because if he didn't
respond, Irene would intensify her harassment of him.
"Son!" Irene could not stand it any longer and put the chopsticks on the table hard. William was startled
by the loud noise and looked at Irene nervously.
Irene hurriedly calmed William, "Good boy, I am sorry, it's just that your father is so bad, you can't act
like him in the future!"
William nodded, his face very serious and solemn, and he wrote on the cardboard, that's what sister
said.
"Sister, who is Sister?" Irene became gossipy.
"Mom, be silent when you eat." Caleb finally put down the newspaper in his hand and glanced at the
cardboard in William's hand, his eyes obscure.
"Fredrich, look at your son!" Irene pulled Fredrich.
"Ahem, let's eat, let's eat." Fredrich responded.
Seeing that Fredrich was not on her side, Irene had to leave it at that.
After dinner, sister in William's mouth had not yet returned, and Irene dragged Fredrich to stay, bound
to wait until she got home.
"Then you guys sit here, I'll take Liam to sleep." Knowing what they had in mind, Caleb did not fall for it
and acted as if he was not at all concerned.
How could Irene let Caleb off so easily?
"Son, tell me who is the sister that Liam mentioned. I really want to know, if you had a girlfriend, I won't
have to arrange a blind date for you." Irene rambled on, "Besides, we old people can't sleep too late,
can you bear to keep us two old people waiting like this?"
"How many all-nighters did you stay up to buy a bag? It's still early." Caleb didn't put it in heart.
"Alright, don't disturb our grandson's rest, Caleb will go back to the old mansion in a few days."
Fredrich opened his mouth at this point.
Irene hurried to respond, "Bring that girl with you."
The Livingstone family was actually a typical family with a strict father and loving mother, even though
their family was illustrious, but for the education of their children, Fredrich was never sloppy. When the
children grew up, they should have to experience what they had to experience. This was why Nathan
was still able to manage a company very well despite his reputation as a woman.
"I know." Caleb nodded.
"Then take my grandson to sleep, it's late, don't let grandson feel tired." When Fredrich mentioned
William, the intimidating pressure on his body instantly weakened and he had a loving face.
Probably it was true that grandparents love grandchildren, and Fredrich and Irene are unconditionally
doting on William, even if William wanted a star in the sky, they would try to get it for William by all
means. All rights © NôvelDrama.Org.
Especially after that incident two years ago, they wished they could arrange two dozen bodyguards to
William for round-the-clock protection, but this proposal was rejected by Caleb.
"Liam, say goodbye to grandma and grandpa." Caleb said as he hugged the drowsy William.
William waved obediently at the two and rubbed his eyes.
Irene said heartily, "Hurry up and take Liam to rest, no need to see us off."
"Go back." Fredrich also said.
"Have Nathan contact me when you get home." Caleb said.
"Okay, okay." Irene nodded, not knowing in the slightest that Caleb had asked Nathan to contact him in
order to deal with Nathan, and was still feeling relieved that their brotherly love was deep.
"Old man, what do you think about what Nathan said." Sitting in the car, Irene was still thinking about
what Nathan had told them that Caleb had someone he liked.
Fredrich pondered for a moment before he opened his mouth, "He is evasive, maybe it's not true, even
if it is true, they don't seem to have a deep feeling, ask Nathan to investigate it."
"Did he do that to trick us?" Irene was worried.
Caleb had never had a single female around him all these years, so she wondered if her son liked men,
and after a son suddenly appeared five years ago, he was even further away from women. Irene was
really worried.
"I don't think so, Caleb is mysophobia, how can she allow an unrelated person to live in the same place
as him? And Liam seemed to get along well with that girl, you shouldn't worry about it, Caleb would
naturally tell you when the time is right." Fredrich reassured her.
"But I want to know now, my heart is like itchy and I can't fall asleep at night." Irene said, upset.
"Restrain yourself, don't go looking for that girl, in case you scare her away, or your son will go back to
his original state, then you will regret it." Fredrich was very open-minded in this regard, he didn't care
who Caleb found as his girlfriend, but if it was to get married, it would be a different story.
So for this girl who came into the picture suddenly, Fredrich didn't take it very seriously. Nathan's
girlfriend changed month by month and he had been forced to get used to it long ago.
"Alright." Irene was eventually convinced by Fredrich, and she was afraid that Caleb would once again
return to the same state he had been in for five years. Caleb had become approachable since William's
arrival, so she didn't dare to take the risk.
When Eva returned to Rosenfeld Hill, Caleb's parents had long since left, and William had fallen into a
deep sleep. There were only a few lights left on in the living room and stairwell, it was dim, but it still
illuminated the path Eva had to take.
Eva stood at the entrance of the staircase, looking at the warm yellow color of the wall lamp, her whole
heart was filled, she had not experienced this feeling of someone leaving a light on for her for a long,
long time.
When she had just arrived at the Sommers', her room was not even as good as a maid's, it was dark,
damp and backlit. If she went back late, not to mention someone would leave the light on, she couldn't
even get in the house. Later she went abroad on her own, and when she returned, she lived alone, so
there was no one to leave a light on for her late at night.
Eva felt her nose sour.
"Why are you standing there?" Caleb suddenly appeared at the end of the stairs, looking down at Eva.
"Nothing. Why are you still up so late, Mr. Livingstone? Did I come back too late and disturb you?" Eva
quickly collected her emotions and put on a perfect mask, "I'm really sorry, I had thought of coming
back earlier to explain to you about the matter on Twitter, but I ended up being delayed by the play until
now."
Eva felt very sorry for having William involved in the world of entertainment, and always felt that it was
her fault. In case William's appearance and identity were exposed, she feared that it would be a
mayhem.
