Chapter 29
At this time, Rosalind had just arrived home, she took off her hat, took off her scarf, and lay down on the bed.
She is not worried that being caught by reporters will affect her career because if she doesn’t work in the entertainment industry, she will return to take over the company.
She was only worried that the news would reach Dylan’s ears, afraid that he would think she was a promiscuous person.
Going to the next room, she saw Alisa still sleeping. She gently pulled the blanket and covered her female manager’s body and then quietly returned to her room.
Night fell, and Stephen walked down to the dark room. He still likes this manual technology.
In a room covered with a red light, the man’s face lit up with a satisfied smile as he looked at the photos of the muse sitting on the merry-go-round.
He felt happy and warm every time he looked at the girl’s face. This winter, when he met her, he felt like spring had come.
Closing the dark room door, he returned to pack a few clothes. He planned to take a few more nature photos after going to province C and give them to Nancy.
At exactly seven o’clock in the morning, Stephen and Paul were present at the Galaxy company and afterward, the signing ceremony to complete the project transfer took place smoothly.
“Thank you, deputy general director.” Ella’s face lit up with a bright smile.
“Nothing, we thought it would make a profit so we bought it.” Stephen happily replied.
“When will your company start construction?”
“The chairman wants to build an overpass across the mountain, so we have to ask the construction department to re-evaluate the new design. It will probably take some time.”
Hearing Stephen say that Ella bowed slightly and sent the guests off.
From just now until now, Paul looked at her without blinking. Her curled hair was straightened and fell to her shoulders, making her look much younger.
During the week that Kent borrowed the hotel to film, Paul was continuously called and scolded by Ella.
When the film crew left, she stopped calling him, which made him feel a bit disappointed and sad.
Leaving the company, Stephen chose to stay at a hotel close to the beach.
He took out the camera, fiddled with it, calibrated it thoroughly, and then walked out to the balcony, pointing the lens at the sea surface at noon, sparkling with silver light.
Stephen had finished work, so of course he was leisurely, while the girl he was interested in was still busy with a pile of work piling up.
Nancy’s hands were typing continuously on the computer keyboard from the moment she entered the company until now, not paying attention to the people around her who were looking at her.
“Nancy, aren’t you surfing the internet this morning?” Donna turned to Nancy and asked.
“No, is something wrong?”
Seeing Nancy bewildered, Donna immediately held the phone in front of her.
The phone screen displayed a photo of her and Daniel shopping together at the supermarket yesterday, which was published in the newspaper.
Donna was extremely surprised to see that the person next to her had no expression on her face.
“Sis, you and Daniel aren’t dating, are you?” Donna asked softly.
“No, he’s my distant cousin.” Nancy shook her head and lied.
“Distant cousin?”
“Yes, what should I say? It’s so far away, so far away that we’re about to have nothing to do with each other anymore. Yesterday I bought a lot of things, so I asked him to take me away.”
Seeing Donna nodding to show her trust, Nancy breathed a sigh of relief.
Later, Daniel’s manager confirmed to the media that he and the girl in the photo were distantly related, so everything was peaceful and nothing to worry about.Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.
Suddenly, a famous cousin fell from the sky, so Nancy accidentally got more attention from everyone.
Donna and several female colleagues also asked her to get Daniel’s autograph for their younger brother and sister, making her extremely miserable.
Lunchtime came, and everyone followed each other to the cafeteria. Because Nancy heard Dylan say he would often come to eat with the staff in the future, she cooked rice and brought it along.
She went to the rooftop and brought her mat up there to avoid being dragged away by him while sleeping in the office.
As for Dylan, as soon as he entered the cafeteria, looking around and seeing no sign of Nancy, he immediately returned to his office and rewinded the camera.
The screen showed the last figure of her leaving the office, carrying a lunch box and a mat as she headed to the elevator.
He didn’t need to look anymore, but he already knew where she was. So, he waited for her to finish eating and then quickly climbed up to the terrace.
Waiting until Nancy fell asleep, Dylan slowly walked closer to her. The shade of the ornamental star fruit tree was not enough to cover the girl’s entire body, so he took off his vest and sat down next to her, blocking the streaks of late winter sunlight on her chubby face.
He looked at her for a long time as if to make up for the long period without her.
When the alarm bell rang from the phone, Nancy woke up with one eye closed and one eye open. Seeing the man looking at her, she sat up in panic and screamed.
“Oh my god, president, what are you doing here?”
“Seeing you sleeping alone, I was afraid that someone would sexually harass you, so I came to watch you.” Dylan calmly took back his vest.
“Sexually harassing me? I feel like you’re the only one in this company who wants to sexually harass me.” Nancy muttered, quickly standing up.
“Really?” Dylan held her with both hands, his breath getting closer and closer.
“Don’t… don’t.”
Looking at her grimacing face, he laughed and gently let her go.
“From now on, I won’t come to the cafeteria or the editing room to bother you anymore, so you don’t have to avoid me.”
“Really?” Nancy asked in surprise
Dylan smiled, nodded, then turned around.
Waiting until his figure was completely gone, she returned to the editing room and continued to plunge into the afternoon’s work cycle.
A few floors away, Rosalind had just arrived at the photography room to take pictures.
