Love Me Right

Chapter 33: As Old As an Old Lady

Chapter 33: As Old As an Old Lady

Harris couldn’t smother his laugh anymore. “I haven’t seen boss use anything pink.”

Lukas leveled him a glaring, scaring him to zip his mouth shut.

A shop assistant walked up to them and asked, “Excuse me. What can I do for you?”

Obvious infatuation flashed through her eyes.

Lukas loathed her obsession with him as his eyes were filled with disgust.

But the assistant didn’t discover his disgust. Instead, she pulled Spencer away to stand closer to

Lukas, saying sweetly, “Sir, would you want a new cellphone? Which brand would you like? I’d like you

recommend some for you if you don’t mind…”

Ignoring the assistant’s ingratiating introduction, Lukas gazed at Spencer.

Spencer didn’t mind she was pushing away from Lukas, but she did find those assistants were

jealously angry while glaring at the assistant talking to Lukas…

She was amused by the scene. Leaving annoyed Lukas with the ingratiating assistant, she walked Material © NôvelDrama.Org.

away to choose her phone.

She wanted to buy a pink phone as she was fond of pink stuff.

She padded past all the types of phones.

Suddenly, her eyes landed on a pink cellphone.

“Please show me this one.”

“Okay.”

The assistant opened the cabinet and handed the phone to her with a smile.

Spencer instantly unlocked the screen and loved it at first sight.

“Nice choice, Miss. This type is one of our new arrivals, as well as the color…”

She excitingly interrupted the assistant’s words, “I’ll take it.”

The assistant was shocked as she had prepared a lot to persuade her, but she didn’t believe she could

easily sell it out. “Okay. I’ll wrap it up for you.”

The assistant was over the moon as she just sold out a limited edition cellphone with a high price. Her

KPI would be off the chart.

Spencer smiled and gave the phone to the assistant. When the assistant was about to take it over, it

was grabbed away by a woman.

“I’ll take it.”

Spencer’s heart stuttered as she heard a familiar voice. Swiveling her head, she found Phoebe Rees

and Taylor Sharp standing beside her.

It was Phoebe who uttered, and the phone was resting in her palm.

Instead of being surprised, Phoebe smugly smiled at her and gave the phone to the assistant. “Wrap it

up. I’ll take it.”

The assistant apologized, “Sorry, only one of you can take it as it’s a limited edition.”

Which pissed her off. She cockily yelled, “Wrap it up now. It’s mine!”

The assistant was in a dilemma. “But this miss has taken it.”

Phoebe leveled Spencer with a distain look, taunting, “Do you believe a poor girl like her could get a

limited-edition phone?”

Which made the assistant embarrassed.

Spencer clenched her fists as she knew Phoebe purposely grabbed away the phone to shit on her.

Never would she let Phoebe get away with it.

Loosening her fists, Spencer flashed a charming and innocent smile. “Come on, old lady. Don’t you

think you’re too aged to use a pink phone?”

Phoebe was riled up. Spencer felt Phoebe’s glare burning holes into her skin.

Raising her hand up, Phoebe was about to slap Spencer’s face…

Spencer wanted to sneer, but she pretended to be shocked.

“Old lady, are you showing off your senior strength? Well, I have to say it must have taken ages to build

up muscles like yours.”

Nonsense! Phoebe didn’t think she had some fucking muscles.

But Spencer purposely mentioned her rolls of flab hanging on her arms.

Which had been a sore point with Phoebe all these years.

With a twisted face, Phoebe scowled. “Spencer Sharp!”

However, her husband just wanted to run away from the scene as humiliation tingled across his spine.

The assistant also laughed quietly at Phoebe’s flab.

But she shut up as Phoebe shot her with a glare.

Spencer quickly held the mirror in her hand to shied herself from Phoebe, kindly said, “I’ll hold the

mirror for you.”

Behind the mirror were Spencer’s defiant I-dare-you-to-slap-me eyes.

Furious as Phoebe was, she had no choice but to lower her hand.

Spencer sneered and put the mirror in place.

“Old lady, actually, you don’t have to show me you’re still a girl on the inside. You do look young and

beautiful, and pink definitely matches you.”

Whether she was brown-nosing her or digging at her, Phoebe didn’t think Spencer did it out of respect.

Phoebe ignored Spencer but handed a bank card to the assistant, ordering, “Wrap the cellphone up for

me, now.”

The assistant leveled her with a look, not taking over her bank card. She said politely, “Sorry, I’m afraid

I can’t, Madam.”

Phoebe was annoyed. “What the hell! She hasn’t paid for it, and it doesn’t belong to her. I’ll pay more.”

The assistant stuck to her professional codes, not subject to her.

Spencer’s eyes went cold as she wouldn’t let Phoebe took her phone away. “Old lady, haven’t you

learnt about ‘First come, first served’?”

Finally, Phoebe couldn’t stand the “old lady” anymore and lost her temper.

She snapped, “You know you’re jealous of my daughter’s engagement with Samuel. So what? I can’t

buy a pink phone for myself?”

Spencer was rendered speechless. How could Phoebe be so proud of her daughter’s being the other

woman.

Phoebe continued, “The phone is more expensive than you could ever imagine.”

Spencer couldn’t understand why Phoebe assumed she couldn’t afford a phone.

Clothes on her were all from luxury brands.

Was she blind?

While Spencer was annoyed, Phoebe gave her card to the assistant again, sputtering, “Wrap it up!”

The assistant smiled without any response, which pissed Phoebe off. She threatened the assistant,

“You son of a bitch! Wrap it up or I’d make you fucking fire.”

Phoebe couldn’t understand why penniless Spencer could go shopping in Wonfo Mall.

The thoughts of her father-in-law’s affection with Spencer drove her insanely furious.

She’d take away everything Spencer wanted.

She just loved to see Spencer’s crying face.

Phoebe glared at the unflappable assistant. When she was about to yell at her again, another shop

assistant scurried towards them and took over her bank card, smiling ingratiatingly. “Excuse me,

madam. Please let me help you. Do you want this cellphone?”

She said to Phoebe as she grabbed away the pink phone from her dumbfounded colleague’s hand.

Phoebe nodded and raised her eyebrow smugly at Spencer.

Spencer ignored her and looked at the assistant who quickly wrapped up the phone for Phoebe before

shooting her a hard stare. Then the assistant stepped toward the cashier desk…

She was dumbfounded.

Then she swiveled her head to look at Lukas…

Did the assistant purposely take it out on her?

Because she was jealous of her going shopping with Lukas together?

Or did Lukas tell the assistant to do it?

When she was confused, the assistant came back with the bank card, apologizing, “Sorry, madam, but

the balance can’t cover the phone. Do you have another card with you?”
