Lost and Found: Return of My Mysterious Fiancee

Chapter 669: Stephanie's Confession

Tina sat up straight, "Tell me, what's going on with you and Five Poisons? Who else is there besides Grace?" Stephanie hadn't expected Tina to know about Grace, realizing she had no choice but to tell the truth today or she wouldn't be able to leave. She knelt down with a thump, "Jared, Tina, I didn't mean to betray you, I had my reasons!"

Tina lazily glanced at her, signaling Stephanie to continue.

"My brother was captured by Five Poisons, I had no choice, I did it so Eric could survive, they've already killed my mom, I couldn't disobey them!" Tina had anticipated such a situation. The only ones who could threaten Stephanie were Leah and Eric. Even if she wanted to ignore the lives of her own mother and brother, she had to consider her own.

"What else did they promise you?" Stephanie wiped the tears from the corner of her eyes, "The master said that if I could turn Lysander to her side, I could revive the Lyon family, become the head of the Lyon family, reclaim all of the Lyon family's assets, and also avenge my family... so I..."

Tina almost laughed. Even if she reclaimed all of the Lyon family's assets, what then? Stephanie, of this nature, capable of reviving the Lyon family? It wasn't that Tina underestimated her, Stephanie simply lacked the capability. "The master you mentioned, is it Five Poisons?" Stephanie shook her head, "I don't know who you are talking about. I only know the master looks exactly like Grace, they captured both of us initially, Grace resisted at first, but the master controlled her with a silver needle causing incontinence and vomiting blood until Grace finally called her master."

"My mom was also killed by her then, skinned alive, I was so scared, and Eric was taken too, that's why I agreed to work for her."

It seemed clear it was indeed Five Poisons.

"When did you last see Five Poisons?" Tina asked.

"This morning, at the café where I met Lysander, where she handed me the photo."

Lysander clenched his fists, realizing he had just missed encountering Five Poisons by a hair! Jared immediately turned on his computer, accessing the café's surveillance, and indeed saw Five Poisons. However, as Five Poisons left the café, she vanished without a trace. Jared frowned, his expression turning sour, "Playing this trick again!"

They had been chasing Five Poisons for so long, always disappearing at crucial moments. Him, Tina, and Natalie, three master hackers, still unable to track down Five Poisons through the surveillance footage. It was indeed frustrating. Tina looked at Jared's computer, not surprised. If Five Poisons were so easy to find, they wouldn't have been searching for so long.

Nor would Five Poisons have managed to infiltrate the X Bureau repeatedly, inserting her people over and over. Nor would Grace have disrupted their plans causing significant casualties in X Bureau. Although it was Grace's doing, they had to admit it was a low-level mistake that had cost them dearly.

Tina picked Stephanie up, setting her on the couch, "So you've only seen Five Poisons once all this time, the rest was just contact with Grace alone?" Stephanie nodded, "Everything I've said is true, I haven't lied to you."NôvelDrama.Org: text © owner.

Tina snapped her fingers in front of Stephanie, "Alright, then tell Grace that you've completed your mission and ask her to deal with Five Poisons, say you want to run away, got it?" Stephanie looked bewildered at Tina, "What about me, what will you do to me? I really didn't do it on purpose!"

Tina clicked her tongue, "I hadn't thought about that, let's fix your face first."

Stephanie's eyes lit up, "You're willing to treat my face?"

"Of course, I still have experiments to conduct on your face, and cannot be interrupted, might as well continue today."

As she spoke, Jared handed her a test tube.

Tina stood up and sprinkled it on Stephanie's face without even sparing anesthesia. Stephanie immediately screamed in pain, rolling on the ground. This pain was more severe than the previous two combined, nearly ending her life. If before it was like being pricked by needles or ants crawling, now the pain was like a blunt knife slowly reopening her wounds. No blood, just pain.

Stephanie writhed in pain on the ground, while others around her continued with their tasks, indifferent. Tina watched with satisfaction as Stephanie writhed in agony. It would be easy to let Stephanie die, but trading her experiments for Stephanie's life was not worth it.

After a while, Tina snuggled into Jared's arms and fell asleep. Only when Stephanie's pain gradually subsided did Tina wake up.

"How's the integration going?" she asked, wiping her mouth. Jared laid Tina across his lap, "Perfect."

Tina nodded, yawned, then wrapped her arms around Jared's neck, "That's good, Uncle, I'm hungry."

After all the commotion, dawn was breaking. Lysander, having had no chance to show any initiative all night, seeing this, quickly said, "Tina, I'll go get some breakfast, what would you like?" "No need."

Jared carried Tina to the couch, completely ignoring Stephanie who had fainted on the floor, "I've already ordered."

As he finished speaking, Nathan knocked on the hospital room door, "Mr. Farrell, breakfast."

Brandon, already famished, grabbed two breakfasts and sat next to Angela, carefully opening them up and handing her something to eat. Tina took a sip of soy milk, found it too sweet, handed it to Jared, then picked up a bun, bit into it, didn't like the filling, and handed it to Jared again.

Lysander watched, heart aching terribly. He could clearly see Tina's extreme dependency on Jared; previously disliked items Tina would toss in the trash. Only then did Tina remember Lysander was still there, she looked up, "Aren't you eating?" "No, I'm not hungry, Tina, call me if you need anything, I'm heading back now."

Lysander squeezed his fist, then left.

Tina ate another bun, "What's up with this kid?" Everyone else, except Angela, chuckled. The little brother was good, but Uncle was what Tina needed. There was no helping it. It's just that the present Lysander didn't have the capacity to compete with Jared. The gap between them wasn't just in age. Compared to his peers, Lysander was mature, but his maturity was negligible in the face of real power.
