Chapter 28 Divorce Agreement (Part One)
Chapter 28 Divorce Agreement (Part One)
John looked at Cherry and asked,"Is it because of Sally He? Has she come back?"
When John mentioned Sally He, Jackson was shocked and wondered how John had guessed it right.
Cherry could not believe this. She looked at John and asked,"Do you also know her?"
Hearing Cherry's question, John knew that he wasn't wrong. John was now certain that Sally He had
come back, because she was the only person, for whom Uncle Jackson could give up everything. So
many years had passed, but Sally He was still very important to Jackson. Several years ago, Jackson
had stood against everyone to protect Sally He. He had even asked his great-grandfather to order her
protection. Now, Sally He had come back, so Jackson did not care about Cherry anymore. Jackson
could only love one woman and that woman was Sally He.
John did not answer Cherry's question. Instead, he looked at Jackson and, with irony, said,"Uncle
Jackson, after so many years, you've changed but you still love the same woman."
Jackson did not know what to say when he heard this.
"Many years ago, you stood against everyone for Sally He. And now she is back. Will you go back to
her?" John looked into Jackson's eyes and was not afraid of him at all.
Cherry listened and suddenly felt that John knew more about Jackson's history than Stephen. But then,
she thought that made sense. After all, John was Jackson's nephew, so how could he not know these
things?
"John, why did Sally He leave?" Cherry did not know why she asked this question, but she did ask it.
"Because her parents..." Before John finished his sentence, he received a heavy blow. Belongs to NôvelDrama.Org - All rights reserved.
Jackson had punched John's face angrily. John began to resist and the two men grappled.
"John, if you dare say it, I'll certainly destroy your family!" Jackson coldly threatened.
"Why can't I say it? Why do you want to hide this from Cherr?" John dodged Jackson's punch and
said,"I'll take Cherr away. I won't let her be with you and suffer."
Jackson commanded,"She is my woman. Don't you dare take her away."
"Your woman? Do you mean Cherr or Sally He?" John then suddenly asked,"How about I take away
Sally He instead?"
"John, if you dare hurt her, I'll kill you at once!" Jackson's eyes were filled with anger, which showed
that he was furious about what John had said.
Cherry, with tears streaming down her face, looked at the two and thought to herself, 'They are not
fighting for me. They are fighting over Sally He. Is Sally He really so important to Jackson? Is Jackson
willing to do anything for that woman?'
At this moment, Cherry felt dead inside. She wondered whether she had longed for too many things.
She now hated herself. Why had she fallen in love with Jackson? If she had not, she wouldn't be so
sad now. Instead, she wouldn't care about this thing and would just live her own life, indifferently.
After a while, Cherry wiped away her tears and turned away.
Walking down the street, Cherry raised her head and looked up at the sky to prevent her tears from
falling down. She told herself,"Cherry, just give up. Jackson will never belong to you!"
At night, Cherry did not turn on the light. She had been sitting on the sofa at home, waiting for Jackson
to come back. However, Jackson hadn't been home for quite some time, so she did not know whether
he would be back tonight.
At ten o'clock in the night, Jackson entered the living room and switched on the light. When he saw
Cherry sitting on the sofa, he was shocked and quickly walked up to her.
Sitting next to Cherry, Jackson pulled her hand and gently asked,"Why didn't you go to bed?"
He felt that Cherry's hand was cold, so he worriedly asked,"Why is your hand so cold? Come on, let's
go back into the bedroom. It's too cold here."
Cherry began to resist and pulled her hand away. She looked at Jackson, did not answer his query and
asked,"Why did you come back home tonight?"
"I just wanted to come and see you." Jackson was still very gentle.
"To see me? To see whether I'm fine, all alone at home? Am I right?" Cherry then showed her other
hand to him and said,"Do you see that? My scalding has healed. Stephen helped me with the ointment.
So, what else do you want to see? Besides, hadn't you met me this morning? Isn't once in a day
enough?"
"Stephen helped you rub the ointment?" Jackson was a bit angry. While he was away, who all had this
woman met? Stephen? John? Anyone else?
"Yes. He pulled my hand and softly rubbed the ointment on it." Cherry did not care what Jackson would
think after hearing this. She thought to herself, 'Since Jackson cares for Sally He so much. why
shouldn't I be with other men? Besides, when we married, we did not love each other at all. So why do
I need to care about all these things?'
Jackson could see from Cherry's eyes that she was still angry and had deliberately said these words.
