I Once Married You (Harper and Benjamin)

Chapter 446 You're Still Wavering

Harper grasped Paul's intention. She lowered her head and was silent for a while before saying, "Paul, actually, I am not sure myself. I don't know what I am thinking now." She pondered, "With so many things going on recently, how could I have the time to contemplate whether or not to divorce Benjamin?

But if not, are we going to continue the situation for the rest of our lives?"Content (C) Nôv/elDra/ma.Org.

She was unwilling to accept the fact that he loved someone else.

This was a thorn in Harper's heart.

She remained quiet.

Paul was stunned and then smiled, "Since you're still wavering, it suggests Benjamin hasn't quite lived up to expectations. If he truly cherishes you and treats you well, you wouldn't even consider leaving him."

Harper's expression remained unchanged. "Paul, right now, my entire focus is on my grandmother. I want to wait until her surgery is over before contemplating anything about my marriage with Benjamin. Regardless of whether we divorce or not, you will always be family to me, and the baby will always be a part of the Martin family."

"Well, your words reassured me. You can't distance yourself from me because of him."

Despite his reluctance, Paul didn't force Harper.

Benjamin, who was drinking coffee with Scott in the living room, suddenly sneezed. Lily asked, "Did you catch a cold?"

Benjamin shook his head, suggesting he was fine.

Scott returned to the previous topic and said, "It's surprising how many individuals are rallying behind the Martin Group. Since this incident, I've been bombarded with inquiries about the connections between these influential figures, the companies, and the Martin Group. If I deny any association, they might suspect we're intentionally withholding information."

"I'm already looking into this matter, but since the mastermind managed to rally numerous individuals to support the Martin Group, the background must be concealed quite thoroughly. Initially, I suspected it might be my grandfather's connections, but now it appears that there are multiple parties covertly targeting the Martin Group."

Benjamin picked up the coffee cup and took a sip of coffee with a solemn face.

While this seemed positive, sometimes what appears good may not always be so. This also applies to the truth that competitors could potentially become friends.

But Lily had a different opinion. "Regardless of whether they are secretly keeping an eye on the Martin Group or not, at least they helped us this time. In this way, the public will believe that the Martin Group is trustworthy. If these people really harbored some ulterior motives, why would they interfere with this matter?"

Scott looked at Lily with a smile on his face. "You are right."

After glancing at Scott and Lily, Benjamin shook his head subconsciously, put down his cup, and stood up. "I'll see what Grandpa and Harper are talking about." With that said, he walked out.

Lily said unhappily, "Was I wrong? Why didn't he speak up?"

"Well, ignore him. He is in a hurry to find Harper. Aren't you happy about this?" Scott asked.

Lily nodded. "Of course, I am happy, but I wonder if Harper will blame me."

Scott frowned slightly. "Why are we revisiting this topic? Didn't Harper already assure you during dinner that she wasn't angry with you?"

"But is that what she thinks? I'm afraid she told lies to comfort me!"

Lily was as worried as a child who had made a mistake.

Scott smiled helplessly. In the end, he could only analyze bit by bit to ease her mind and keep her from overthinking. After all, he was supposed to be doting on Lily. Benjamin came out of the living room and made his way to the back garden. From afar, he saw Harper and Paul standing in the pavilion.

He walked over directly and said, "Grandpa, have you finished chatting with my wife for so long?"
