The next day, Fahira and Ariel visited their parents’ grave to bid farewell. Fahira wanted to return to Jakarta as soon as possible to ease the heavy burden in her heart and mind. The longer she stayed in the house, the more her sorrow multiplied. If it weren’t for Darian, who was always by her side, she wouldn’t have been able to face this bitter reality. The pain and disappointment seemed to empty her mind and soul. She wanted to get back to work, immersing herself in her usual tasks whenever problems struck. It was the only way Fahira could stand tall amidst the harsh life she had been living for the past three years.
“Don’t you want to stay longer here?” Bisma said when his two nephews bid farewell to return to Jakarta.
“No, uncle, we need to get back to work,” Fahira replied with a distant look. Arini and Arya, who stood beside Bisma, could only remain silent with a melancholic gaze. They were still disappointed and saddened by the arrest of Maheswari and Ambar, the two women who had taken care of and raised them with love.
“If that’s the case, give me your account numbers. I’ll transfer money every month for your needs in Jakarta,” Bisma continued, his eyes welling up with tears. Bisma was deeply affected by the actions of his mother and wife, which resulted in his two nephews becoming orphans.
“No need, Uncle. Fahira and Ariel are now my responsibility. You don’t need to worry about them. I promise to do my best to make them happy,” Darian interjected, wrapping his arm around Fahira’s shoulder.
“Fahira, please entrust all of our parents’ belongings to Uncle. Please take care of them well. I promise to visit here often,” Fahira said, now tears streaming down her face.
“Forgive Fahira, Uncle. Fahira won’t seek retribution from Grandma and Aunt. Fahira will leave everything to the laws of our country, but if Uncle wants Fahira to withdraw the lawsuit, I will do it,” Fahira explained, leaving everyone startled. Especially Darian, he never expected Fahira to be so forgiving. How could she easily forgive the heinous acts of her grandmother and aunt who killed her parents?
“Uncle Pram and Aunt Fatimah must be happy up there because they successfully raised their daughter well.” Bisma held Fahira’s body and embraced her tightly with tears of emotion.
“But Uncle won’t do that. Let Mommy and Ambar face the consequences of their actions,” Bisma replied after easing his embrace.
Bisma changed to hugging Ariel while patting his shoulder. “Take good care of Sister Fahira, okay?” Bisma whispered before releasing the embrace. Ariel could only nod without uttering a word.
“Brother Ariel, I apologize for all the mistakes I’ve made towards you!” Arya said, then hugged Ariel tightly. For the first time, he sincerely apologized to his cousin. For so long, Arya had been influenced by the instigation of his grandmother and mother to hate Ariel and Fahira. But now, he truly realized that the one with a wicked heart was the woman who had been his role model all along.
After saying their goodbyes, they left the mansion full of memories. Forgiving her grandmother and aunt’s actions wasn’t easy for Fahira. However, holding onto hatred now seemed meaningless; her parents had been gone for a long time. She just wanted her parents to rest in peace. Starting a new chapter with her brother was the best choice. Fahira was willing and convinced that everything was the will of the Almighty. She only asked for one thing: for her parents to be happy there, in the most beautiful place, in the sight of god.

At exactly 10 p. m., they arrived at Darian’s house. Darian intentionally brought Fahira and Ariel to stay with him. He wouldn’t feel at ease leaving them alone in their own house without his supervision. Darian wouldn’t be at peace until the people who had been watching Fahira and Ariel were caught.
Darian didn’t expect his mother to warmly welcome them and even hug Fahira and Ariel affectionately.
“You should freshen up first, then eat. While you freshen up, let Aminah heat the food. Oh, David, you can also rest here; a guest room has been prepared for you too,” Yasmin commanded enthusiastically.
“Okay, Mom!” David replied briefly. It was perfect timing as he was indeed exhausted after driving quite a distance. If this were his own house, David would probably lock himself in his room and spend the whole day hibernating. And true to his thoughts, after showering, David skipped dinner and immediately lay down until he fell asleep.
After eating a modest meal, Darian, Fahira, and Ariel went to rest. They actually wanted to rest immediately after the long journey, which drained their energy and minds. However, out of respect for Yasmin, who had made an effort to prepare the food for them, they managed to finish their meals quickly, albeit without much appetite. Yasmin was a bit hesitant when Fahira chose to share a room with Ariel. After all, Ariel was already a teenager, so it didn’t seem appropriate for them to sleep in the same bed. But Darian’s silent signal managed to silence Yasmin’s objections. She reluctantly agreed and escorted Fahira and Ariel to their room.
Despite feeling tired and sleepy, Darian’s anxiety couldn’t be dispelled until it was three-quarters past midnight. Finally, he decided to get up and perform ablution to calm his heart by praying. After finishing his prayers, Darian intended to go to the kitchen to make some coffee. Perhaps a cup of coffee would bring some peace to his troubled mind. There was still one truth left to be revealed-the relationship between Fahira’s father and Darian’s parents. He was worried that this upcoming revelation could become a boomerang for his relationship with Fahira.
Fahira, who happened to wake up feeling thirsty, was startled when she saw Darian standing while pressing the dispenser button. A puff of hot steam hit the face of the dark-skinned man.
“What are you doing so early in the morning, Honey?” Darian’s body tensed momentarily, surprised to hear Fahira’s voice. He quickly turned around to face her and smiled.
“What do you want? Do you want me to make you something?” Darian offered gently while stirring the coffee he had brought.
“I’m thirsty, Darian. I want some warm water,” Fahira replied, approaching Darian. Instantly, Darian placed his coffee on the pantry table and gestured for Fahira to sit down.
“Just sit here, I’ll get it for you!” Darian immediately took a glass from the dish rack and filled it with half hot water and half cold water.
“Thank you, Darian!” Fahira said, accepting the glass of water and drinking it all.
“Feeling better now? How about Ariel? Shouldn’t we take him to the hospital?” Darian asked anxiously.
“Darian, we’re both fine. Ariel is better now, he slept well through the night,” Fahira explained.
“Do I often do this?” Fahira pointed to the coffee cup still steaming in front of Darian. He lifted the cup with his fingertips and took a slow sip after blowing on it a few times.
Darian shook his head while enjoying the strong black liquid soothing his throat until there was only half a cup left. Darian got up from his seat, took Fahira’s hand, and led her to the living room before their household assistants woke up and disturbed them.
Fahira looked uneasy as Darian casually put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her into his embrace. Of course, Fahira was afraid of causing speculation if anyone saw them being this close.
“What’s wrong, my dear?” Darian said, changing his position to face Fahira.
“Don’t do this, I’ll be embarrassed if someone sees us, especially madam Yasmin!” Fahira admitted with a forced smile.
Ignoring Fahira’s words, Darian instead laughed and hugged her tightly, showering her with kisses all over her face until a slight cough interrupted their laughter and activities.
“Hey, Mommy dear!” greeted Darian, changing his position by resting his hand on Fahira’s shoulder. A shade of orange instantly spread across Fahira’s face, extending to her fair neck as she tried to move Darian’s hand off her shoulder.
“It seems like we should speed up your wedding!” Yasmin teased Fahira, who blushed even more shyly.
“I’m ready, Mommy, it’s no problem today!” Darian replied casually.
“I’m sorry, I should help Aminah in the kitchen!” Fahira tried to stand up, but Darian immediately pulled her back to sit.
“Just stay here and keep Mommy’s son company, I’ll be in the kitchen.” Yasmin approached Fahira with a gentle smile.
“But…!” Fahira’s words were caught in her throat when Darian whispered, “Do you want me to kiss you in front of Mommy?” Fahira shook her head quickly, looking at Darian sternly, while Yasmin smiled subtly and left them alone.

Darian’s smile widened as he remembered that there was a woman waiting for him at home. He got up from his executive chair and reached for his suit jacket hanging on the back of the chair, putting it on. Going home seemed like the best option right now. But before he could shut down the computer that held all the company data, he heard a knock on the door.
Upon hearing the invitation from inside, David entered Darian’s office with an indescribable expression on his face. He remained silent for a while, causing Darian’s eyebrows to furrow as he waited for the news David was about to deliver.
“Mr. Delon has arrested all the individuals involved with the one who had been spying on Miss Fahira and Ariel for the past three years,” David finally spoke.
Darian’s eyes widened in surprise, and a mix of relief and curiosity filled his expression. “Really? That’s great news! What happened?”
“Based on the investigation, the person behind all this was actually Maheswari’s close friend, a woman named Sandra. She was the one who had been feeding information about Fahira and Ariel to Maheswari and Ambar all this time. It seems they were acting on someone else’s orders,” David explained.
“And who’s that someone else?” Darian asked with a hint of suspicion.
“We haven’t been able to find out yet. But we’ve arrested all those involved, including Maheswari and Ambar. They’re now in police custody,” David replied.
Darian nodded, processing the information. “Well, that’s a relief. At least Fahira and Ariel can finally feel safer now. But we need to find out who’s behind all this and what their motives are.”
“Yes, I agree. We’ll keep investigating until we get to the bottom of this,” David affirmed.
“Thank you for the update, David. I’ll make sure to inform Fahira about this when I get home,” Darian said gratefully.
As David left the office, Darian took a deep breath, feeling a weight lifted off his shoulders. Now he could focus on going home and spending time with Fahira. He quickly shut down his computer, left his office, and headed home, eager to share the good news with his beloved. The mystery might not be fully solved yet, but knowing that the immediate threat was eliminated brought some peace of mind.Copyright by Nôv/elDrama.Org.
