Chapter 0050
Looking at it in person, she realized the picture didn't do justice. The place was at least a seven bedroom mini duplex with three open seating area, two outdoor swimming pools, a Jacuzzi, a gym, a sauna and a large backyard with a view of the coast. It was safe to say that for a single person, this was overboard. But clearly not for Amara Crawford.
"This is where you're staying?"
Amara nodded. Although the place was nothing compared to her family home back at Italy, it was cozy looking and she liked it.
"Lorenzo said it was the cheapest he could get." Her answer left Melanie looking more speechless.
Cheapest?! This was at least time four of what she could ever dream of affording and they were calling it cheap?
Shaking her head, Melanie grabbed some of the boxes from the back and followed Amara into the house.
It was just as big inside.
Aside from the bedrooms and bathrooms, there was a small hall for entertaining guests, an indoor pool and a balcony overlooking the ocean.
The furniture and furnishing were the most extravagant, from the sofas to the dining and chairs, and even the bed, they all looked expensive and classy.

"I can't imagine how much it must have cost to buy all this." Melanie sighed and put the box in her hands down on the floor.
"Lorenzo didn't tell me the exact amount, but I'd guess it won't be much. I did tell him not to spend more than three billion." Amara responded nonchalantly and headed back outside, Melanie was surprise strikes for a few seconds before she decided to follow behind her. They continued unloading the boxes, with Amara carrying the lighter ones and Melanie doing the heavy lifting.
When they were done, Melanie's watch beeped, alerting her that she had business to take care of.
"I should get going." She announced and Amara nodded. "Drop by with sushi later on?"
"Bluefin tuna." Amara agreed.
"See ya then," With a final wave, Melanie left and Amara watched her leave.
When the car disappeared around the corner, Amara finally turned around and faced the empty house.
It was huge and spacious, and the silence was deafening. But it was a good and new type of deafening, the type that screamed 'New life!'
The new life she was finally starting.
Taking a deep breath, Amara turned and headed towards her room, where her luggage were waiting.
There were a lot of things to unpack.
At around three that same day, Amara checked into the company. Her arrival was welcomed by the states and whispers she received from the employees.
She knew she wasn't all that popular at work, so their stares definitely arouse some questions in her mind.
"... of course the Manager would have a secret admirer." Someone muttered as she walked past.
"Yeah. Look how beautiful she is, any man would be a fool to see her and not take a liking." Another stated and this caused a frown to appear on her face.
A secret admirer?
Just what was everyone talking about?
She thought of asking them, but then the thought of one of her employees confessing their feelings to her totally put her off.
She definitely wasn't in the mood or mindset to deal with anything love.
With that in mind, she ignored the staring and whispers and proceeded towards the elevator.
Her first stop was her office, where she planned to spend a few hours taking care of things she needed to step up in other to approach Jason, before leaving.
However, the moment she stepped into her office, she was surprised to see a big bouquet of flowers seating in the center of her office.
Amara was shocked and slightly
creeped out. She knew Lorenzo didn't do this, he would have told her, and she couldn't think of anyone else who'd send her flowers, so this was definitely a surprise.
Was it the doing of her secret admirer?
Approaching the flowers, Amara spotted a small name card sticking out from underneath the flowers.
With a frown, she picked it up and turned it over, revealing the name of her 'secret admirer'.
The moment her eyes read the name written on the card, her expression darkened.
Why, how and who the hell did Tobias Larsen think he was to send her flowers?!
