Her, To Home

Chapter 14

The lunch passed without a single sight of him. As June waved her goodbye to get to her next class, Sara walked unwillingly to her own. Her feet suddenly felt a heavy, she was dragging them in hopes of not collapsing. When did she sleep properly?

She had only reached halfway to the class but the silence around her told her that she will be late.

She did not see the arm which suddenly shot out from nowhere and pulled her in the darkened class. In her confusion, she heard the lock being turned and her brain panicked.

She was going to get raped by some creep and will never be able to walk down the alter as a virgin.

Not that it was the idea in the first place.

She was yet again engulfed by the heavy arm but this time the rough scent which surrounded her, felt familiar, too familiar. Like a flash of fast forward videos, the memories of the scent jolted through her brain. What was this guy doing to her?

She was turned around to face the creep and which blinking her eyes to adjust in her darkness, she caught a glimpse of Dean.

She was actually not surprised at all.

So she wasn’t going to get raped.

But a creep caught her was true enough.

“What do you think you are doing?” She hissed, struggling to get out of his grip. Had this man no idea what such closeness does to her? She still hasn’t gotten hold of herself since the last encounter.Content © provided by NôvelDrama.Org.

“I haven’t seen you for couple of hours now.” The reply came so casually that she wanted to slap his face and would have if she could see it properly.

“Let me go.” Sara managed another unsuccessful attempt to get free.

Bad decision.

The grip got stronger and she was pulled closer against his chest- the heat was suffocating. It felt like his body was on fire. She could feel his racing heart and it did wild things to her own. How can he look like this when his heart was racing like this?

She raised her head to look at his, as her eyes have adjusted better now- she saw his eyes, blank and shadowed staring back at her.

She felt her breath stuck in her throat.

“I have told you to stop looking at me like that, O’ Brian. You are going to be the death of me someday.” The hoarse voice made her gulp and she couldn’t breathe at all.

“It doesn’t have to be someday. Let me go and I will make it today with your own choice of weapon.” She managed to voice out. She had meant to sound clear and stern but it came out in a squeak.

His large booming laugh echoed right through her heart. The sound, making its way to her memory like a tattoo- the heat from before rose in roar. She stared at him in surprise. God, he was a beautiful man. No wonder he was an asshole.

“Weapon of my choice, huh?” He suddenly smirked and she gulped again. Maybe she had said something wrong?

She wanted to look away from his heated eyes but she felt like her head was drilled into the place.

He leaned closer till she could breathe in his scent like air- and to her shock, ripped the band-aid and kissed the spot he had make his mark on yesterday. She felt a jolt right through her brain.

“If it’s you, I don’t care what it is.” he said in a husky voice, his hot breath sent a shiver down her spine.

“Marking, torture, burning and then leaving you to bleed to death.” She tried once again to take back the control she loses every time this man was around her.

He stared at her while smiling softly. This time there was nothing else but adoration in his eyes and she knew the earth had stopped spinning- time had frozen. A storm was raging inside her, where his expressions were calm for the first time- she was trying to escape this suffocation of emotions.

She suddenly realized that she should run, while she still had a chance. While she had not yet fallen for him, she should run and never look back because loving Dean was going to ruin her. He wasn’t the type of man who let go. She could never match his pace and she was scared. What she felt every time he was near- she should escape before he messes her up for good. That’s what he said last night but never would have believed it but now she did and it was frightening her.

He had probably seen the look in her eyes and had recognize it because that smile vanished like it was never there in the first place. He grabbed her from the back of her head and brought her even closer, putting his lip on hers softly. The touch nothing like his hands on her but the intensity of the flames was higher.

“You can run, hide. I will bring you back from death sweetheart.” he whispered in a harsh breath against her lips.

And oh God, she believed him.
