Chapter 2 Give Birth to the Child
Chapter 2 Give Birth to the Child
Hattie didn’t say anything.
The poison in her body was unique and fatal. It would outbreak anytime without notice and she would
die immediately.
She could never give birth to a healthy child with such a body.
“Stick to your words. That night, you signed the contract and promised that you wouldn’t see Greyson
ever again. But you are still here, and you’ve already broken the contract. I can still hold you
responsible and make you return the 5 million!” Finnley scorned.
Hattie didn’t respond. Her mind was in a trance.
She did leave after that night, but Greyson captured her a few days later and made an enemy out of
her. He started to hate her from the bottom of his heart.
“I…understand,” answered Hattie quietly, she had no choice but to say yes.
Finnley scoffed and said arrogantly, “It’s good to be understanding. Now go, get rid of the child.”
She was chased out of the car and she walked into the hospital again.
It was the same doctor from before.
“Miss Moss, why are you here again?”
She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. Hattie then said quietly, “Doctor, could you please
arrange an abortion for me? I don’t want…this child.”
The doctor was taken aback, though it was quite common for young women to ask for an abortion. So
he quickly wrote down a slip and asked Hattie to go pay for the surgery.
Hattie did everything in a trance. She was still in a daze when she stood in front of the abortion room.
This child was only here for a month, and she was going to abort him just like that…
Sorry.
Hattie lowered her eyes and her tears started to fall. She felt sorry for her child.
“Hattie Moss, it’s your turn!” shouted a nurse.
“Alright.” Hattie stood up and took a deep breath. She rubbed her tummy and lied down on the surgery
bed.
She took off her pants and opened up her legs. The cold surgery devices grazed on her inner thighs.
This child would be gone soon.
Suddenly, the door to the surgery room was kicked open.
“Hattie, I can’t believe that you didn’t come to the hospital to get a check-up, but to get an abortion
instead!” howled Greyson as he rushed into the surgery room furiously. He pushed the doctor and
nurses out of his way and grabbed Hattie’s arm. He yanked her off the bed and squawked at her, “Did
you get my permission to abort my child?”
Hattie said nervously, “Greyson, why are you here?”
“Why? Do you really think that you can keep everything a secret from me? You bluffed 5 million from
me and now you want to abort my child?” Greyson choked her on the neck, his eyes were so red and it
looked as if he was going to choke her to death anytime. “Dream on! Hattie, you lied to me, and I want
you to live your whole life miserably!”
He then shoved her hard on the floor with a disgusted look on his face.
“You are not allowed to get an abortion. I will cut off your limbs and put you in a vase if you don’t give
birth to him. I’ll make you suffer for the rest of your life!”
Hattie sat up straight on the floor, her hands and feet were hurting.
She could also feel a sharp pain on her abdomen.
She gently rubbed her tummy. She lowered her gaze and tried to hide the anguish in her eyes.
“Greyson, what if I told you that I left you the other night after I received the money for a good
reason…” She looked up and stared at him sorrowfully, “Will you try to understand me?”
“A good reason?” Greyson looked at her wearily, “Hattie, do you think I’m an idiot? I heard you loud and
clear the words you said when you took the money and left!”
“I got together with him for the money. I thought I was marrying the rich and could live a comfortable
life, but who knew that he got poisoned by some weird shit. He was going to die soon, who would want
to marry a dying person. Give me 5 million, I’ll leave immediately and never come back.”
Those were words from her mouth.

“Greyson, could you believe me just this once?” She begged and pleaded as she stared at Greyson.
There was a last glimpse of hope in her eyes.
If he believed in her, she would not care about the contract and not care about Finnley’s revenge…she
would even place her father’s life on a bet.
Just to be together with him.
“Believe? I’m better off believing a swindler!” That was his answer.
He didn’t trust her at all.
