Chapter 502: You’re Not So Dumb
Nate and Fannie argued again, but the atmosphere became much more relaxed, and Kylie helped Ethan eat some soup.
“Does Vincent have any news?” Ethan asked for information on Clown once he felt a little better.
Nate raised his broken leg and shook it. “Look at my leg. Couldn’t I have a break?”
“If you have a break for a minute longer, there is another magical pill sold,” Ethan said.
“Fine, I’ll call him now,” Nate snorted and took out his phone from Fannie’s pocket.
“No need. Let’s go over together.” Ethan stood up.
“Ethan!” Kylie stopped him. “You still have a fever.”
She didn’t dare mention how terrible his condition was right now but was worried all the time.
Ethan smiled, then kissed Kylie. “I’m fine.”
“But…” Kylie was unwilling to let him leave.
“I’ll be back home as soon as possible.” Ethan glanced at Nate.
Nate had to get back to his feet and said the same thing to Fannie, “I’ll be back home as soon as possible too.”
Looking at the two injured men walking out, Fannie sighed. “Kylie, you and Ethan are a perfect match.”
“What do you mean?” Kylie asked.
“Ethan is as stubborn as you.” Fannie shook her head.

Inside the container at the dock of Seattle.
Stephen checked each medicine bottle before he packed it into a suitcase.
“Lord Stephen, you are the smartest man I’ve ever seen.” The housekeeper praised Stephen with a smile. “The most dangerous place is also the safest place. They couldn’t believe that we’ll come back here.”
“Don’t underestimate Ethan.” With a click, Stephen closed the cover and put the suitcase in the safe.
He asked without looking back, “Have you checked it?”
“Yes, I do.” The smile disappeared from the housekeeper’s face. “I’m sure the blood sample is Dinah’s, and the child must have been aborted given a large amount of blood she has lost.”
“As a doctor, your conclusion must be rigorous.” An evil light flashed by Stephen’s eyes.
“Sorry, it’s my fault.” The housekeeper bowed his head to admit his mistake, then peered at Stephen’s expression. “Someone saw Kylie on the set today.”
Stephen’s eyes moved, and he turned to look at the housekeeper. “How is she?”
A smug smile slipped by the housekeeper’s lips. “When I lit the fire, I had confirmed that there was no one nearby, and Kylie is safe.”
Stephen said in a cold tone, “Did you confirm whom she was rescued by?”
The steward was struck dumb for a second. “It must be Ethan.”
“Not really.” Stephen picked up a human skin mask and turned around, then walked out of the container base.

Once Ethan and Nate showed up, Vincent told his sidekicks to move a large sofa over in a hurry.
“There is no news on Clown for now, and both of you should have a full recovery. I just wonder why you seem so drained with energy after that injury. Haven’t you replenished your blood?” Vincent asked.
“I did take blood to restore my energy but something was wrong inside me. That’s the reason why I faint and become ill. My inner strength was like being trapped inside, and I can’t use it. I’m pretty sure there’s an explanation about this event later on. We need to find Clown, first,”
“Yeah, but he perfectly hid and planned everything ahead on us. “Ethan, I think the medicine that Stephen had created for us has other vital elements that can deteriorate our wolf form,”
Ethan glanced at Nate, “I didn’t take those medications. I just pretended to have it to investigate him,”
Nate was shocked upon hearing his statement, “You mean, you’re not affected with those medicines? How did you retain your human form without it,”
“I’m different from a normal wolf. Hybrid is capable of retaining human form, and when I transformed into a vampire-werewolf, my body first felt as cold as ice. The venom froze into a hard diamond form and then augmented my cells into a powerful hybrid better than that diamond form. My body began to burn like an intense fire, which perfected all physical features, including muscle mass, and my body became accustomed to the heat. My senses become more defined. Just that, I don’t know why I suddenly became weak when that tragic accident happened to us even though I took blood afterward. Maybe my mother has a literal explanation about it. I will surely ask her after we capture Stephen,”
Nate went silent. It was apparent that Ethan didn’t allow him to have a good rest.
“Did you find Tory’s base?” Ethan asked again.
“I’ve checked those cars you told me about. The only thing they have in common is that they have all been to the same auto repair shop,” Vincent reported to Ethan. “I suspect they changed cars in the auto repair shop.”
Nate dangled his broken leg looking at Ethan. “Ethan, if you want to know where Tory lives, go back and ask his little son.”
Ethan gave him a cold glance. “Ben is just a kid.” Nate pulled his lips. “You and Kylie have the same attitude.”
“Let’s check on Vincent,” Ethan strode away.

Vincent was surprised seeing them both, “Is Miss Finch…”
“Yeah, she’s home.” Nate turned to look at Vincent. “Safe and sound.”
Nate wasn’t very pleased when he said that because both he and Ethan were injured to rescue Kylie.
Ethan’s life was even in danger now, but Kylie safely came home on her own.
Vincent also understood Ethan’s injuries were very serious, but there was something he must report to him.
“Lord Ethan, the magical pill is quite popular these days, and many nightclubs are selling it right now. I heard a branch of the Police Bureau just caught a director today.”
Ethan seemed to be in a bad mood with a frown.
Tory came to Seattle not to strike a deal with him but to acquire the magical pill.
If Tory was Stephen’s major client, Stephen shouldn’t sell the magical pill to others but mainly supply it to Tory.
“Are you sure the ingredients of the magical pill are the same as before?” Ethan said all of a sudden.
He hit the point.
An idea dawned on Vincent. “Hurry up and do a urine test for the person we just caught!” He made an order to his sidekicks.Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
“Mother f*cker, did Clown first attract people to take medications with aphrodisiac drugs, then quietly replaced it with … real drugs?”
“He isn’t a usual smart person.” Nate glanced at Vincent, then said to Ethan,
“Ethan, the narcotics squad, will handle it, and you can go back to have a good rest. Once Clown ships the goods again, we’ll catch him and all of his people.”
Ethan stared at Nate. “Dinah is missing. How do you know when Clown will ship goods again?”
“Well…” Nate glanced at Vincent. Vincent, however, held his forehead with one hand to avoid meeting his eyes. He hadn’t heard from Dinah for a long time, so he couldn’t provide any useful information.
“Um…” Nate thought for a while. “Send someone to visit the auto repair shop you just mentioned, and try to set a monitor or something. Since we don’t know what Clown is going to do, we can focus on Tory.”
Nate wasn’t wrong, but the problem was that Tory wasn’t dumb at all, either.
It wasn’t easy to set a monitor at Tory’s place.
Vincent licked his lips. “Lord Nate, we’ve tried it but failed.”
Nate felt a little embarrassed, then turned to Ethan for help. “Ethan, what should we do now?”
“Try to get some clues from the surveillance cameras. Arrange some people to watch the auto repair shop 24/7 and investigate every car coming in and out it,” Ethan said.
“Yes, sir.” Vincent looked serious.
“In addition,” Ethan clenched his palms into fists, “search around every entertainment club to make Clown believe we’re distracted so that they’ll ship goods without concern.”
“I understand!” Vincent got excited.
A smart team leader could point out the right direction in an instant.
At this moment, Nate approached Ethan. “Ethan, shouldn’t we put some stress on Tory?” Ethan looked at him at a slow pace.
Nate was nervous at once, but Ethan smiled at him all of a sudden. “You’re not so dumb.”
