Chapter 20: Since When That a Wild Oat You Sowed Worthy Of Being My Sister?
Hannah, in particular, had a very friendly relationship with Felicity on the surface, and claimed to treat
Felicity like her own sister.
In front of their father, she was very friendly to Felicity, but behind his back, she was a cold little
planner, who was good at calculating evil and successfully estranged the father and the daughter.
Felicity was never considered a good girl by her father. In his eyes, she was just a childish girl who
liked to quarrel and misbehave and kept hatred in her heart.
It wasn’t until it was too late that Felicity realized this was all Hannah’s doing.
Her mother asked her to stay at James Villa, hoping to give her better living conditions.
But Felicity was not happy there at all, and soon she moved out to live with her mother.
No matter how hard life was living with her mother, it was still better than to suffer abuse at the James
Villa.
Now Felicity had an indescribable sense of disgust towards the James Villa; she didn’t want to step foot
in there even for a second.
In such a complex state of mind, Felicity was escorted into the villa by bodyguards.
"I can go in myself. Let go!"
Felicity did not struggle, just said coldly.
Her cold words had a deterrent force which was not anger but her inner power, so the guards had no
choice but to let her go.
After entering in through the door, Felicity saw Hannah and a young man beside her.
This young man was named Oliver Brookes.
The Brookes family and James family used to be close, and Oliver and Felicity were once childhood
friends. They played together since childhood. They were so close that everyone thought they would
get married when they grow up.
However, the relationship between them disappeared after Felicity’s mother was forced to leave her
home.
Oliver no longer saw any benefits in being with Felicity James, so he transferred his feelings onto her
step-sister and became Hannah's wooer.
Felicity even witnessed them kissing behind her back.
Since then, Felicity completely cut off contact with Oliver.
She hadn’t seen him for many years…
Felicity looked at them, her face sullen and gloomy.
Although she called this place home once, it was now filled with horrible and nasty people, making
Felicity’s mood rot.
Hannah was surprised to see Felicity set foot in the house.
But since it was her dear sister, she had to greet her warmly.
Hannah opened her mouth in surprise and exclaimed excitedly, "Felicity! You are back!"
Saying this, Hannah ran towards Felicity, pretending to be enthusiastic, and reached out to hold her
hand.
Felicity sneered, naturally avoiding Hannah’s hand, "Don’t pretend to be so affectionate. Who is your
sister? My mother had only one daughter.”
Felicity's family is only her mother.
All these hypocritical and disgusting people never counted as her families.
Hannah felt a little embarrassed, but her eyes were clear and she tried to pretend to be innocent.
After Stanley saw it, he was furious, "Felicity, is that how you talk to your sister?"
"Dad, it's OK."
Hannah pretended that she didn’t mind, advising Stanley to calm down and not to blame Felicity.
"Look at your sister, and then look at you. Do you look even a little bit like an older sister?"
Stanley continued to blame Felicity James for not being polite and proper.
"What? I'm wrong? Since when that a wild oat you sowed worthy of being my sister?”
Felicity sneered at him disdainfully and said coldly. She would not be fooled by her anymore.
She had already seen enough of her step-mother and Hannah’s tricks and plans.
As soon as she said this, everyone lost their minds in anger.
"What a brat! Were you raised by dogs?"
Stella couldn’t see her daughter being humiliated like that; her face became distorted with anger.
Hannah couldn't put on a fake face any more, and her expressions became dark. But in order to
maintain her dignity, she still pretended to be hurt and ran into her mother’s arms.
"Do you want another slap?"
Stanley was even more furious and wished to slap Felicity hard.
"What else can you do besides hitting and forcibly kidnapping people?"
But Felicity stood her ground arrogantly, showing no signs of retreat, she even stepped forward a
couple of steps.
Oliver’s eyes held complex expressions. He looked at Felicity and said with regret, "Felice! When did
you become like this? You didn’t speak so harshly before... "
Felicity was not going to believe his fake concern, she sneered, "Who are you to teach me how to
speak?"
Hah! He had no right to lament her wrongness with such compassionate expressions.
Shocked by Felicity’s bluntness, Oliver's words were stuck in his throat.
He indeed had no right to accuse her.
Felicity looked at him standing there speechless, the corner of her mouth rose slightly with her eyes full
of ridicule. Content © NôvelDrama.Org 2024.
Stanley couldn't let this happen anymore. He said angrily, "Go upstairs and stay in the house!"
If she continued to speak like that, he might have a heart attack.
"You two, go up and guard her!"
Worried about Felicity would try to leave, Stanley sent two securities to guard up with her.
"Yes!” The bodyguards obeyed the order and followed Felicity.
Felicity felt too lazy to argue with them, and there was no benefit in staying there so she turned around
and walked up the stairs.
In her room, Felicity inwardly made a resolution that no matter what will happen she would not agree to
get married, no matter what they try to do.
Choosing her husband was her right. What right did they have to decide for her?
Felicity was no longer flustered and she stayed in the room peacefully. It was not worth getting angry
about it.
…
At dinner time, the door was pushed open.
Felicity subconsciously raised her eyes and saw that Hannah was entering.
Her calm mood was ruined in a second, especially when she saw Hannah's smile, she was even more
disgusted.
Felicity looked away coldly as if Hannah didn’t exist.
Hannah didn’t care. Instead, her smile became wider.
She came up to her and said with a smile, "You don’t have to look at me like this. Look! I'm kind
enough to bring you the dinner."
Felicity could not bear to see her smile, she said in a disgusted tone, "Leave! I can’t stand you."
Hannah didn’t show any signs of anger; still maintaining her fake smile, she said in a voice full of
concern, "Are you still angry?"
Felicity didn’t want to look at her; she tried to suppress her anger in her heart.
"Are you angry because of your arranged marriage that Dad planned? But it's really a good proposal.
The guy is the eldest son of the Rhodes family. They are rich and wealthy. If you marry him, you will be
blessed with happiness!”
