Divorce Clock Ticking (Kenneth and Angela)

Chapter 5

Chapter 5

Patrick’s eyes widened in shock, and his hand gripping the doorknob turned pale. He seemed thunderstruck, frozen in place.

“Patrick, why are you standing at the…”

Angela began to say, but her words trailed off as she saw Kenneth on the other side.

She couldn’t help but furrow her brows. “What are you doing here?”

Kenneth sneered, his gaze piercing. “Is it a bad time? Did I disturb your little affair?”

Angela’s grip tightened as she kept drying her hair. She then spoke calmly. “You’ve seen the divorce agreement. Whenever you’re free, we can go get the divorce certificate.”

“Angela, I didn’t agree to the divorcel Come back with me!”

Saying this, Kenneth reached out to grab her hand, Patrick, standing nearby, came back to his senses and stepped in front of Angela.

Kenneth stared coldly at Patrick, threatening, “If you don’t want to be blacklisted, get lost!”

Patrick confronted him with equal coldness, showing no fear.

“Mr. Sinclair, it’s not that simple to blacklist me. Besides, it seems Angela doesn’t want to go with you.”

Over these years, Patrick had become well–connected among the entertainment industry. Now, nobody could blacklist him at will, not even

Kenneth.

Kenneth seemed even more irritated. He took out his phone and dialed a number.

Meanwhile, Angela, standing behind Patrick, spoke up. “Kenneth, this is our problem. Don’t get the others involved. Let’s talk”

Kenneth put down his phone, but the anger within him flared up. He looked at her coldly. “You seem quite concerned abou been away from Lithoria for a month, and you’ve already found a man to keep you company. Well done!”

Angela ignored his words and turned to Patrick. “Patrick, go inside.”

Patrick seemed a bit worried, however, he was in no place to meddle in the business between a couple,

“Sure. Call me if you need anything.”

After Patrick left, Angela faced Kenneth. He, however, grabbed her and attempted to pull her out.

“What are you doing?

Angela was furious, Kenneth, even during a divorce, lacked gentlemanly behavior. She wondered why she married him in the first place.

Kenneth didn’t speak, forcefully stuffing Angela into the car. Then, he got into the driver’s seat and sped off. This belongs to NôvelDrama.Org.

In a blink, they were halfway up the mountain. Angela gritted her teeth and glared at him.

“Let me out! Kenneth, what’s the point of controlling me?”

“Fasten your seat belt!”

Kenneth roared while gripping the steering wheel tightly. The anger within him was evident.

Angela didn’t move. Instead, she looked at him and said flatly, “Kenneth, what I said about divorce wasn’t a momentary outburst or

nonsense. I’m serious.”

The black Maybach suddenly stopped by the roadside, and Angela’s head slammed hard into the windshield.

The intense pain made her frown, and she drew in a sharp breath.

Without waiting for her to recover, Kenneth sneered.

“You want to divorce me to be with this little pretty boy? Not in a million years!”

Angela, holding her forehead, retorted with anger, “Kenneth, are you insane? You like Jennifer, so I chose to quit. What more do you want?”

Kenneth remained indifferent. “What does that have to do with Jennifer?”

Angela chuckled, scorn visible in her eyes. “How does it have nothing to do with her? Dare you say she’s not the one you love?”

As Angela finished speaking, silence fell between them.

After a while, Kenneth, his expression icy, looked at Angela and said coldly, “What right do you have to accuse me? At least I won’t betray you, but you actually stayed in another man’s villa overnight!”

“What do you mean by betraying me? Do you want me to catch you and Jennifer red–handed?!” Angela retorted.

“Angelal”

Seeing his angry look, Angela suddenly calmed down. She looked away, saying calmly, “No matter how you put it, I’ve de

divorce.”

“What if I never agree?”

Angela felt annoyed and increasingly impatient. She didn’t want to say anything to Kenneth now.

Sensing her icy attitude, Kenneth frowned. Just as he was about to speak, his phone rang

Seeing the call was from Jennifer, he glanced at Angela and answered the call.

“Jennie, what’s wrong?”

“Kenneth, the villa has a power outage. I’m so scared… Can you come and stay with me?”

Jennifer’s sob carried a trembling tone.

From a young age, Jennifer had been afraid of the dark. She used to avoid dimly lit paths and slept every night with the lights on. Kenneth could imagine how terrified she must be now, alone in a villa without electricity.

“Don’t be afraid. I’ll be right there. Nothing will happen!” Kenneth assured Jennifer.

After hanging up the call, he found Angela looking at him with a mocking expression. Kenneth, for the first time ever, explained, “There’s a power outage at Jennie’s villa. I’m going to check on her. Take a taxi home.”

After a few seconds of silence, he continued, “Just forget about the divorce. I won’t agree.”

Angela remained indifferent, speaking word by word. “Kenneth, whether you agree or not has nothing to do with me. I don’t love you anymore, so I’ll definitely divorce you.”
