Darling, Please Love Me Again! (Gisele Meyer)

Chapter 67

Chapter 67

Sure thing, sir! You can never get low grade herbs here at Hearty Herbst But good–quality and top– notch quality herbs, you name it, we have it! Jett chuckled as he nodded.

Then, he turned to look at Dorian and Sierra who stood at the door. “Hi there! What would the two of you

need?”

“Jett, we’ll head to the back of the store to get the herbs we need. You can go ahead and entertain your customers,” Gisela said.

She felt nauseous at the sight of Sierra. She felt she would throw up if she had to interact with her again. And if she did so, who knows what trouble Dorian would put her through again.

“Sir, Gisele’s my friend. I’ll go pick out the herbs with her,” Sierra said before turning back to look at Dorian. She smiled sweetly at him before continuing. “Don, can you wait for me here?”

Dorian nodded in agreement.

Sierra linked her arm with Gisele’s and followed her to the back of the store.

Dorian walked over to Aspen and observed him with a dark gaze. As he did so, Aspen sized him up warily

too.

The store was spacious and had a very soothing fragrance of herbs. Jett came out from behind the counter and poured them each a cup of tea. The tea was made of Nelumbo leaves, Reed

Cassia seeds, and Isatis roots.

“Gentlemen, please have some tea,” Jett offered cheerily

Dorian was about to turn down the offer, but when he caught a whiff of the familiar scent, he accepted it and took a sip. His eyes narrowed. “Did you come up with this blend of tea?”

“How could I have come up with this? It was Gigi who researched the recipe!”

Jett looked really proud at the mention of Gisele. He beamed and said, “She might look young, but she’s really talented! I had wanted to buy the recipe for this tea from her much earlier on, but she told me that she came up with this recipe for her husband, so she can’t sell it.”

At the mention of that, a regretful expression came over him as he shot Aspen a displeased look. But he

quickly broke out in a smile again and continued, “But when she came in to restock a few days ago, she suddenly decided to sell me the recipe. I had wondered if she was getting a divorce then.”

He then quickly shot Aspen an apologetic grin. It was pretty obvious what he was thinking

Dorian’s expression hardened, having been ignored the whole time.

Bright as Aspen was, he promptly understood what had happened between Gisele and Dorian. He smiled gently and said, “Gigi came up with a better recipe, so it doesn’t make sense for her to hold on to the

previous recipe.”

His words clearly carried a double meaning to them.

Dorian shot him a fierce and fiery glare. But Aspen seemed to not notice it and carried on sampling the

Tea.

He really hadn’t expected Gisele to be so capable. But for someone like Declan, who had a discerning eye. to approve of her, surely she must be someone of extraordinary caliber.

Jett was just about to agree when he suddenly felt a chill down his spine. He lifted his gaze to check the temperature on the air–conditioner and found that it was only 70°F. That wasn’t a cold temperature, but he couldn’t help shivering.

“Uh, gentlemen, please carry on. I’ll go out and get some sunshine for a bit.”

Jett walked out the store, feeling goosebumps rising on his skin.

That was so peculiar! Had the air–conditioner broken down? He never felt so cold at such a temperature

before!

When it was only the two of them left in the store, Dorian, who had his l*ps tightly pursed, finally spoke up.

“Why didn’t you tell me that you were back? Am I not your buddy anymore?”

That only elicited a scoff from Aspen.

All of a sudden, a loud scream came from the doorway at the back of the store. “Ahh! Don! Help!”
