Chapter 19

Receiving The Punishment.

Her lips parted. Ready to protest. He couldn’t just tell her to do all that. All for what, because she puke on his shirt, it was a mistake, moron. He balled her fist.

And punched him.

Imaginary.

Thankfully his back was against her. And didn’t get to see the disgraceful act. She let her hands fell beside her. Staring down at her tore dress, the only dress she had.

Like he seems to read her thoughts, He spun around. Looking at her.

“Sambas would give you another cloth to wear..”

She quickly let down her hair to cover her face. With her head bow, she was probably feeling the pains of bending her neck for a while now.

“Why are you still standing there, like a zombie, don’t you know what to do?”

“I—I—do.” She stuttered.

“Get it too. Now!”

Her feet suddenly felt heavy cause his eyes were on her, pushing her forward, when she doesn’t want to. She walked carefully so she doesn’t slip. And fell in front of him.

Limping, with her head still down. She past him. Giving him a side glare.

What’s so special about him anyway.

“How long do you intend to walk like that. Till death.”

“Can’t you see I’ve a sprained ankle.” Wishing she could say it. Instead she twitched her lips. There’s no way she could walk faster than this.

He shook his head. Walking away.

Elina and watched him, took the other way. What’s was that supposed to mean, she wasn’t good enough.

“Such arrogance. Why do I’ve to meet someone like him.. argh!”

She stamped her feet.

Her sprained ankle.

She sat on the floor, instantly. Rubbing the injured feet.

How could see had forgotten. She’d been so angry, seeing him pissed her off.

How could she ever get off this.

“What are you doing?” She was already familiar with the voice already, the annoying Sambas that brought her here.

“Mourning my fate.”

He chuckled.

“You should be grateful. He didn’t ask you to kill someone. Fight till death.

“How could I possibly do that?”

She faked laughed.

“Then you get killed.”

She gulped.

“He’s gruesome I said it.”

“You know the walls have ears. Ever believe in that saying.”

She looked around her.

“I don’t.”

“You should, from now.” He squat. Staring at her sprained ankle. He held it and gave it a small massage.

“We get this a lot. Just be more careful. Not to make a mistake. Work on time. Do everything you’ve to do. To avoid sleeping there again.”

“I would try. Argh!. That hurts.”

“Sorry. You would eventually get to be comfortable staying here.”

“I can’t see that coming, not with him. I might decide to slit his throat.”

He chuckled.

“You should try saying that to his face.”

“I would. If he dares me, next time.”

“Just focus on your punishment, else things might get worse. And try not to get in I’ve dungeon, so soon, give it a day or two. All done.”

He stood up.

“Thanks Sam.”

“We good.”

“Yeah.” He help her up her feet. She stood and smile. Never been better.

“Ms Elina You’ve got to serve the guards now..” Buka the chief cook said. He was the only one in charge of cooking and serving everyone in the the mansion. Which keep Elina wondering how he was able to do all that by himself. Without a single help.

Maybe he had superpowers or something.

But she wasn’t the type that believes in magic. Such stupid fairy tales.

Everyone in here were all strong and moved with agility. Well trained like in the army or something.

“Duty calls. Good luck”

She sighed. Accompany with a nod. Moving towards the kitchen. Buka went back to the kitchen, and Elina dragged her feet down

towards him.

“Hurry up!” he urged.

Samba waved at Elina, until she went into the kitchen.

“Here.. Take this.”

He had everything arranged already in a tray.

“This is the guards breakfast. Aziel and sire is different. Make no mistake. Every guard has a number to identify them with..” he points towards tray, which was numbered.

“You’re taking this, to the back of the mansion. Some of them are there. There’re twenty guards in the mansion.”

“Just twenty, in this big mansion.” She emphasized.

“Small but very mighty. You can’t mess with the guard of our sire Kenzo..”

“I can see it. It’s obvious though.”

“We would have won, if that snake hasn’t rat us out.”

“Here.” He gave her the tray counting five meals in it which had the number one to five. Snake, rat them out. The reason she was shut. Who was that. Sara. It’s her. It’s easy to put the pieces together. Those unclean eyes of hers.

“What’s this?”

“Chicken porridge.”

“Looks delicious, can I taste?”

The look he gave her, was certainly out of it. She itched her neck and pouted.

“Just a spoon.”

“It’s food for the guards ms Elina.”

“What am I?”

“Are you a guard?”

“Ain’t I doing their work. Just give me a taste would you?”

He shook his head and clicked his tongue. This little girl, there was no way she would last in there. He could bet, a week and she’s gone. He snap his finger.

Gone with the winds. No way, The sire could contain someone like her. Small, nerdy girl with glasses. He would get rid of her. He was certain, non of those girls like her stayed for more than a week.

And this one, she was the smallest.

“Get going, you shouldn’t let the food get cold.”

“So I ain’t getting a taste.”

“You’re getting one, when you get back.”

“Thanks.”Exclusive content © by Nô(v)el/Dr/ama.Org.

“Go, go. You’ve five minutes to give them the food and hurry back here. Nothing less than that.”

“Sure.”

She smiled and held the tray tightly to herself. Chief Buka was to be estimated around forty getting to fifty. He looked too young for his age.

She walked out of the kitchen, with a small smile. Maybe this wasn’t so difficult after all.

She could do it, without making a tiny mistake. She hurried to the door. Hastening with her footsteps. The door opened, hitting the tray off her hands. Cause she was so close to it already. The tray flew from her hands, right in the air. Her eyes went with it. With her mouth ajar.

Ah!

It was gone.

The person came in view, his clothing and appearance showed everything, he was a man of wealth. And was instantly hit with the tray containing the hot chicken porridge. Cold shivers ran down her spine instantly.

“I’m so sorry!”

Isn’t that what she was supposed to say. But why does it feels so wrong.

“How dare you?” He howled.

She shuddered, completely engulfed with fear.

“Who is this dirty crazy bitch!” He shouted.

She was still on her tore cloth. That was why he called her crazy, she could accept that.

“Lord Gilbert.” She heard Kenzo’s voice. And his hurried feet down the stairs.

“Elina!” His thunderous voice yelled.

At this point she wanted to sink to the ground. Faint or something. She saw Buka peeping, with a sad look on.

He said it, she was getting rid off.
