Annoyed, she pouted, glared at him.

Alex reacted swiftly, let go of Roseline and stepped away with a deep frown on his face. Not expecting him to let go of her like that, Rose lost balance and was about to have a heavy fall. He sounded a bit irritated at the way she was being rebellious to him. Rose opened her eyes to see a charming-looking face right in front of her. Alex, who was staring at Rose, saw how her cheek turned red and he raised a brow at it. Unconsciously, he reached out and stroked her face with his long slim fingers.

"Your cheek is red?" Alex remarked, completely clueless as to why it was red. He actually thought that something was wrong with Rose.

Hearing Alex, Rose raised her hand and touched her cheeks as well. 'What a clueless idiot. It's called blushing?'

It took her awhile to realize that she was still lying in his arms with everyone watching. She frowned and pushed him to imply that he should let go of her, but Alex made no response.

It truly pissed Roseline off. 'What's this supposed to mean? If he wants attention, then why the hell is he getting me involved in this?' Rose wanted to tell Alex to let go of her again. However, thinking that her step-mother and Sophia had been watching her, a wicked smile graced her lip as she composed herself and said as calmly as she could, "Please let go of me."
