Chapter 75
Nicholas was the second person in that group that rarely talked that much apart from Alex.
"HYL entertainment is very good entertainment in the industry but I know how to handle and take care of Rey Mason." Christopher slowly nodded his head, already thinking of how to handle Rey Mason. Meanwhile, after Rose walked out the restaurant and entered the car. She told the driver to take her home since she was done with all she came outside to do today.
Suddenly her cellphone rang again and she raised a brow when she saw the name of the caller ID.
"Hello, Aunty." She answered the call.
"Young Miss, where are you?" Paige's worried voice rang out from the other line of the phone.
"Aunty, I'm on my way home already. Is there any problem?" Rose asked when she heard Paige's worried voice.
"Nothing, I was just growing worried since you haven't arrived back home. And it's almost getting to evening time." Paige replied, calming down a bit when she heard that Rose was already on her way home.
"I will soon arrive so please put your mind at rest." Rose told her and hung up the call with a small smile on her face. She felt glad that she had someone who is always worried about her in that house.
By the time they arrived back at the mansion, she was Paige waiting outside her.
"Aunty, I told you I'm fine. What are you doing out here?" Rose asked with a small frown on her face after she alighted from the car.
"Young Miss, you just arrived back in the country a few days ago. It's too dangerous to roam around without someone by your side. Please let me know before you do something like that." Paige, who thought that Rose knew nowhere in the country, said. A maid had just reported to her a few minutes ago when she didn't find Rose in her room.
Rose slowly nodded her head, not bothering to argue with Paige. "I understand and will do that next time. Please have the maids take what's in the car to my room." She said, gesturing to the shopping bags in the trunk of the car.
Paige quickly raised her hand and waved at a few maids to carry the bag inside. "Has anyone arrived back home?" Rose asked as Paige led her inside after she paid the driver his money and he drove away.
"Not yet, including Young Miss Sophia." Paige plainly replied.
"Okay, sorry for making you worry about me today, Aunty. Please inform me when it's dinner time." Rose said as she made her way to her bedroom.
The moment she entered her room, she locked the door behind her. She quickly removed her sandal before running towards her bed and falling face flat on the soft bed. She let out a small giggle with her face still buried in the bed. She was in an extremely good mood and that was because she didn't make the same mistake and missed the same opportunity she had missed in her past life.
"This new life is starting to turn out great. And I have a feeling that I will be in a very good mood from today onward." She mumbled as she rolled over and faced the ceiling. A few days ago she was worried about being broke and it was also the same thing that made her vulnerable to her family in past life, but now she doesn't have to be worried about things like that anymore.
After a few minutes of thinking, she got up from the bed and decided to arrange the shopping bags the maids had placed in her room. She grabbed the shopping bags and headed back to her walk-in closet.
A short while, her entire closet was filled with clothes, shoes, bags of her taste and style. The one that was there before, she arranged them in a different wardrobe and closed the door.
She walked out of the walk-in closet and went to the veranda to sit down with her phone to call Alisa.
"Rose, you called like you promised." Alisa's excited voice rang out immediately when the call connected.
"Did you think that I wouldn't keep my promise?" Rose let out a chuckle and asked. She understands a little bit why Alisa was surprised and that was because her past self was not really friendly towards Alisa. "It's not that..... I'm just surprised, that's all." Alisa stuttered when she heard Rose question, though she was taken aback to hear Rose chuckle.
"So are you ready to tell what happened today at your new school? I can't wait to hear it all." She asked after she regained herself.Material © of NôvelDrama.Org.
Rose shook her head seeing how
energetic she was to listen to gossip. Having no other choice, she began recapping everything that happened to her today. She left out the part where she went to the boutique, bank and restaurant. She only told her what happened at the school today.
"Who did those teachers think they are to underestimate my Roseline?! Do they know how smart and brilliant you are?" Alisa commented after Rose gave her the full details.
Rose burst out laughing when she heard Alisa, however her smile died down immediately her eyes caught sight of two black cars driving into the mansion. She quickly knew that it was none other than both Beatrice and Sophia, though she couldn't see the front of the mansion properly.
"Rose?" She quickly turned her attention back to Alisa who was calling her name when she got no response again from Rose.
"I'm here, I just saw something that drew my attention away." She quickly told Alisa.
"Do your father and Stepmother know about it?" Alisa asked, but Rose shook her head even though she couldn't see her.
"No, but I plan on breaking the news to them tonight." Rose replied as an evil smirk on her face. She can already imagine the look on Beatrice's face if she heard about it.
Both Rose and Alisa talked for a long
while and didn't realize that they had been talking for the past three hours. It was Alisa who hung up the call saying she had to call her father who had sent her abroad to study
because of his mistress as well.
A few minutes after Rose dropped her phone, she heard a knock on her door. She stood up from her seat and walked towards the door before opening it only to see a maid outside the door. "Young Miss, the head maid told me to inform you that dinner is ready." The maid slowly informed Rose.
"Alright, I will be there." Rose nodded her head and closed the door with a smile on her face.
